I called Tim the owner (who was not present during the install). He indicated he would be there in an hour. It was 4hrs later, he came and said he had to go get some adhesive. Two hours later (8:30) at night glued them back. On the next Monday, (my roof is now 10 days old), there were more tiles off. He said he would be there at 6:00pm. He did not show. On Tuesday I called and he said he would be there between 9:00am and 6:00pm as he would have to fit it in between "training". He was a no show, and no response to texts or calls. I tried to get a hold of him on Wednesday, and finally got him about 4:00pm. He said he was in the hospital since Monday night (when I talked to him Tuesday there was no mention of this). He said he would come by and look at it. He was a no show. Now he doesn't answer my calls or texts. Very unprofessional, poor quality, horrible communicator.

The work was excellent and has held up beautifully over the years -- it still looks brand new! Recently, we began having water issues near our back porch and garage. Thinking it was a landscaping problem, we had several companies come out for estimates. Every one of them told us the same thing -- concrete would be a better long-term fix. We knew exactly who to call! Kopp Concrete came back out and provided a fair bid. We were thrilled to see it's still very much a family business. The crew removed our old paver walkway, plants, and grass, then installed drainage pipes connecting three downspouts that had always caused puddling in our yard and driveway. The pipes were buried neatly, and Kopp poured new concrete at a slightly higher grade than the old paver walkway, completely eliminating the standing water issues. The finished result looks like a masterpiece! We only wish we had done it sooner. If you're looking for quality work, honest people, and results that last -- call Kopp Concrete. This small company was a nightmare to work with. The owner, and the only person i met face to…read moreface, was the reason. They took cash as a 50% deposit before they would order the materials. But they couldn't give me a receipt as they were in a "new office". So I had a hand written receipt that i wrote out, as i didn't trust giving cash with a promise of an emailed receipt. The emailed receipt still hadn't arrived by Monday. I asked for a copy of the material order to be emailled. They couldn't provide that and never did. I then tried to cancel everything and he refused to send me a check and wanted to discount his expenses for his time and costs. and have me come to him as he wasn't going to mail it. I felt bullied by him. Not wanting to risk losing my money, I apologized for not trusting him, and we agreed to proceed. Materials were delivered on time. Start date was moved back. Twice. Next start date was set for Columbus day and the only person who showed up was a drone person and he asked if the job was completed to my satisfaction. (There was zero work started and four crates of materials sitting on the sidewalk.) This person was oblivious to his surroundings. Thank God we had Mexicans show up the next day to do the real work. They did most of it but left trash, limbs and 8 inch ruts in the yard where the trailer was. What they didn't leave was about a third of the over bought shingles. Not a single piece was left behind to patch something in the future. They also didn't touch an overhang after one of the crew fell through it. It needed to be replaced. SG asked me if I knew a carpenter who could fix it? Huh? He later wrote me an estimate that involved $600 in shingles. The same shingles that I had already paid for. No thanks. It then took him a week and several excuses before the three bundles of shingles that I had paid for were delivered to me for someone else to repair the overhang. Don't ever pay anyone in cash. Don't ever pay everything until the job is completed. There are companies out there that will do that.

6/10/22 the city failed the Egress window Schultz put in, stating it needed a drainage system after…read morethis had been done over a year ago. Brandon, the owner of Schultz, never completed the permit. Our basement had flooded once in 2021 and again 2022 due to his faulty work. Schultz came out and claimed they installed a drainage system. Schultz told the city they did this but did not show them. On 6/29/22 the city stated it was approved based on what Schultz told him. On 7/26/22 my basement flooded AGAIN, it was the first rain since the last time he worked on our property in June of 2022. Per code in our county a window well has to go to a French drain or daylight drain if those are not present then one needs to be put in or a sump pump needs to be put in, neither was done. Two city inspectors came to our home on 7/27/22 after my husband dug all the way down to the footing and confirmed there was no drainage system in place. The lead inspector Brad at St Charles city called Schultz and advised there was no drainage system in place and Schultz needed to call us to make it right. Schultz met with us on 8/6/22 at McDonalds and advised he WOULD NOT be doing anything to rectify the situation. Then Schultz continued to lie stating the engineer was working with him on a current job which in fact was a lie after speaking with Broughton Engineering. Broughton Engineering also stated there needed to be a drainage system in place. Schultz STILL refuses to provide insurance information which tells me they have none. Schultz was sued for over 99,000 by a previous customer which I found out later and has yet to pay a penny of what he owes her. Brandon also admitted in court he had NO INSURANCE. This is not the first time he has done shady work. I have reported him the the BBB and Attorney General. Look at his google reviews. Check out "Deals Gone Bad" on FB, many others have pleaded with people to avoid him. Keep in mind some of his reviews are from his friends and wife. This man has only been in business five years and many people coming forward with issues and no resolution from Brandon. I have paperwork from the city stating Schultz is at fault, my adjuster and the engineer STILL Brandon refuses to do ANYTHING.
