Shortly after that Tracy showed up and walked me thru the process, understanding my insurance company wasn't assisting. Anyone else I had spoken to felt like they were prioritizing insurance claims not damage. (One man's opinion) I had to go to a week training and Tracy promised to get it done. At this point he'd built enough trust with me so I completed my training and returned to a new roof !! Along the way they assisted me in over and above questions and worries, very patient for sure. I used Trex composite deck material for the low maintenance I preferred. Steve, the owner, was prompt to respond to anything I was dissatisfied about, and quickly resolve it. Steve would even come out in his everyday wear and fix issues himself. They were minor but I loved his professionalism and willingness to "get his hands dirty", literally. He even went as far as to teach my nephew how to use a pressure washer. The patience, care and kindness speaks volumes to the company. His crew worked hard from morning to evening to tear down my deck, rebuild the deck, build a new deck by my garage, paint the house, gutters, and walls. The whole renovation took only 3 1/2 weeks, including the pressure washing of the house that Steve completed. I was highly pleased with the finished project. I hosted a deck reveal for my family and friends. I invited Steve and he came by, as I bragged on his company and passed out business cards. DAR Construction LLC hired roofer to install new roof and was incompetent in supervision and quality control of work. I advised DAR Construction to ensure all bad wood was replaced and to make sure roof was satisfactory before final payment was made to subcontractor. They stated roof looked great and they were thoroughly satisfied. I looked at roof myself after DAR had already made payment to subcontractor, and informed them that the roof was unacceptable in multiple areas and was very disappointed. DAR Construction LLC stated the roofing contractor came back out to house to fix roof, but after I went back to review work completed the roof was still in the exact same condition as was originally after they replaced. After continually requesting needed action to take place, was told I could meet with subcontractor. Asked what time I could meet with them and was never received any response. At this time, I have no faith in DAR Construction or VIP Roofing and Remodeling LLC to replace roof in satisfactory condition. I am requesting a full refund of $7,200 given to DAR Construction for roof replacement. My request for refund of roof payment from DAR Construction is a reflection of their poor performance and management of roofing subcontractor (VIP Roofing and Remodeling LLC) under their supervision. Failure to correct issues of poor work performed: o Uneven roof structure o Dipping in multiple areas o Overall unsatisfactory quality of craftsmanship o Lack of Communication o Failure to follow through and execute requested re-work I am completely dissatisfied with the result of the poor performance and management of DAR Construction LLC and that of their business associates have exhibited. Never took responsibility for anything that went wrong.

I have tried multiple times to get in touch with him -- not even asking him to fix it for free -- just asking him to come take a look and see what we could do. Nothing. No calls, no texts, no response. I also have a huge crack running across the porch, and it was poured off-center by nearly 12 inches. Absolutely unprofessional. This is not character. This is not integrity. I recommended him to others because I truly thought he had both. Unfortunately, I was wrong. He still won't even return a call or a text to help make this right in any way. And before anyone says, "just another angry customer," I've attached real pictures as proof. The concrete was obviously poured way too wet. To be fair, the first winter wasn't terrible. But the last three have absolutely destroyed it. Use extreme caution before trusting your project to him.

I think it was moist enough that it could have damaged my wood floors. I have tried twice to call them today and get an answering machine. If you have padding I think they're fine. I flipped the 11'x8' rug over to finish drying for day two. I'm glad I had a basement to clean it in and the carried it down to clean it. Your call.
