I wasn't too impressed by this place. It was very wack to me. The magic was really corny. Very short. Magician seemed irritated by the children because they didn't really participate. (I do understand that frustration). Party felt rushed. The magician made sure he let the time we had left known. He enflated the jump house before the party was even over. Made my friend rush to pay him. The place was veeery old on the inside. Old gifts old toys. Bery out of date. Just terribe. I would NOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT RECOMMEND YOU TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE! I had my son's 1st birthday here and it was a HUGE success. I love to plan a party and wanted to make sure fun could be had by all ages. Who doesn't love a little magic, right? The guests included 75 people: 50 adults and 25 kids. No problem with space, but I was super worried about it before the event. We did bring in about 10 extra chairs so all the adults could have a seat. The kids sat on the floor. The party started with 30 minutes of bounce houses. There are 3. One is an obstacle course and the other two are your standard bounce house with a basket ball net and a couple foam balls. The obstacle course was the favorite and had a line of kids patiently, waiting for their turn. The next 30+ minutes was the magic show. The kids were so engaged and Jeff, the magician, did a fantastic job of reading his audience. Even his toughest customers were eventually drawn in. I cannot tell you the number of parents that texted, emailed, called and wrote me notes to let me know how much fun the kids had. Isn't that what it's all about? The kids having fun and seeing their faces light up! After the magic show, the kids had a magic workshop and the magician showed them how to do some of the tricks. Needless to say, this was another big hit. Again, I had countless parents send pictures of their "magicians" putting on a show over the next few days. While the kids attended the workshop, the adults ate. Then the kids ate, so it worked out well to have 2 shifts. We had the party catered and the food tables were set up by Abra Kid Abra before hand, as I had requested. The kids received Goodie Bags compliments of Abra Kid Abra. The Goodie Bags contain 5 magic tricks. After dinner, we sang Happy Birthday and then my baby boy got his smash cake. Again, Abra Kid Abra was very accommodating. A few days before the event, the magician called to go over EVERY detail of the party. This was very helpful. We were on the same page. Some extras that I did, but are not necessary: ordered magic wands, magician hats, magic tattoos, invisible ink and personalized M&M's on line to add to the Goodie Bags provided by Abra Kid Abra. I asked Dierberg's to make fruit kabobs with a pineapple in the shape of a star on the end. Some stars had sprinkles, some did not. I also had signs made to put at the corners of Brentwood and Atalanta, Atalanta and Lafayette and at the Parking Lot entrance to indicate more parking behind the building. I am very pleased with Abra Kid Abra's attention to detail and willingness to accommodate our large group in order to make the party a success. We had our 5 year old's birthday party here. The bounce house prelude to the magic show was long enough to get the kids settled down but not so long that kids were getting loopy. Dan the Magic Man was very good with this age group including some sleight of hand that surprised everyone. The magic show was a hit and also was just the right length. After cake Dan made balloon dogs for all the kids. I do think they need a rubber mat at the exit if the bouncey obstacle course, the kids were slipping on the tile floor as they jumped out, but no one fell, luckily. Jeff, the owner, was a delight to coordinate with on my daughter's 4th Birthday party; and the magician killed it with the kiddos. They were engaged, and amused, and laughing their heads off. I even saw a few parents chuckle. He really was a highlight of the day! read more

The Amazing Ben did my son's 5th birthday party, and wow did he set the bar high. I did go for all the bells and whistles so my kid could participate in the magic show and the tunnel thing after. It was perfect for his age group. I thought the bounce time was a little small, but it really was enough to allow them to sit still through the magic show. And while the kids bounced, Amazing Ben learned all their names while bouncing and used those names in the magic show. He lived up to his name! The room is nothing fancy, but my son is seven now, and he still says that was his best birthday party by far. We invited the whole class to a party on Friday night. We had 24 kids, and most parents dropped off. Amazing Ben did it all. He was professional and even called before the day to find out what my son was into. The kids laughed so hard. My son recently had his 6 year birthday party here. They have this place down to a science. They have the kids run around, get the energy out, then do a magic show. The magician was patient and knew how to handle kids that often times can be pushy or bratty, reacting with a smile and directing them with a funny joke. The place was clean, well maintained, and there were rules to keep the kids safe such as up to 4 per bouncy area, not being allowed to run in the open area, etc. I was very happy with this place! read more

Everyone had a great time! Expectations were set in advance, which helped with understanding how the day would flow. They have enough entertainment and variety for an enjoyable time. We had the place to ourselves after the first 20 minutes. This was very nice! The magic show was full of giggles from the kids. After the prize room, every child got a goody bag and balloon animal. The kids loved it! And most of all, the birthday girl enjoyed every minute. This was a great choice for us. read more

My twins and their friends had a great time at Abra-Kid-Abra to celebrate their 5th birthday. Jeff could not have been more helpful, accommodating and professional in all of our communications leading up to the party. Our event was handled by Dan the Magic Man who was great with all of the kids. They got to bounce for about 30 minutes and then they have all the kids sit down for the magic show, which was perfect. They were just worn out enough to sit and watch the magic tricks, and Dan included several kids from the audience as assistants. Then they showed the kids how do some tricks at home on their own using the items in the goody bag that each kid received. The goody bag included 4-5 tricks plus each child also got a hat and a magic wand. Then we went into the party room that they already have decorated for you, to sing and have cake. Everything went very smoothly and kept the kids engaged and entertained. Many of the parents commented to me at the party as well as days later how great of a party it was, that their kids had so much fun, and they were having fun at home showing off their new magic skills. Way to many rules for little kids. Its very small and not to much todo. Son wanted to know what else he could do besides to bounce houses.

I do not usually complain or write reviews but my experience today was so terrible, I felt like I had to share my experience. Today was our first experience with this business and it will definitely be our last. My son is 3 years old and loves balloons. As soon as we walked in, the magician was sitting down with a box of balloons and my son got excited, ran up, and grabbed one from the box. Before I could say anything, the magician said, "Sir, please put that back", which I was totally fine with him saying. I came up and explained to my son that he could have a balloon at the end of the party and to please put it back where it was. The magician got huffy and said, "I was already telling him that but whatever, that's fine if you'd rather talk to him." That was the first red flag: apparently this man was not okay with me parenting my own child..... Later, the magician was explaining what was going to be inside the goody bags in a very small room to a bunch of kids who barely have any attention span (again, a lot of these kids were 3-4 years old). The room had about 10 open chairs with only 2 parents choosing to sit in there because the place was blistering hot. My son got up on a chair and sat down to listen and the magician got angry and told him that kids sit on the floor. Honestly, pick your battles. There were at least 10 open chairs. Does it REALLY matter if he sits in a chair that no one else is choosing to occupy?? If adults actually went in the room, of course I'd make him give up the seat. He got very hostile and rude toward my son at this point. My son got on the floor and quietly sat the rest of the time. Finally, at the end, he told all the kids to get in line for a balloon. My son did as he was told and got in line and was about the 6th kid in line. The magician then says my son's name and tells him to come up to the front of the line to where he now the 3rd child in line in an effort to rush him out.... He makes my son's balloon and we went into the next room to get the goody bag. We stood by the back wall of the room, completely out of the way of everyone, so that we could watch the birthday girl open presents and have the opportunity to tell the birthday girl and her mother "thank you" for inviting us. The magician sees my son and I standing in the back of the room with the other kids and parents and looks at us and says "_____[My son's name] and mom, thanks for coming. Bye now." and waves us off..... The party wasn't even completely finished yet! I was mortified and completely embarrassed. Three other parents looked at me like they couldn't believe he actually did that. We left and as soon as we hit the parking lot, I cried. I couldn't believe how rude this guy was the entire party. He has no business working with children, especially very young kids. I have a very high expectation for how my child should act, several family members and friends have said I'm too unrealistic and expect my child to act too mature for his age so trust me when I say, I know when my son is acting "bad" and he wasn't being bad at the party, he was being a typical 3 year old. I will never recommend this place to friends or family which is a shame because my son and I loved the magic tricks and he had a wonderful time. Thankfully, he is too young to understand that a grown adult who was in his 50's or 60's was being ridiculously rude to him. Basically being told to leave in front of all the other parents, when my son was doing nothing wrong (if he were hitting other kids, breaking things, etc. I could understand but he didn't do any of that) was just completely unacceptable. read more

I would NOT have your birthday party here. The place was an absolute mess. They could not find the party supplies, they were late getting there to open up and the magician was hard for the kids to understand. The place itself was such a dump - there was stuff EVERYWHERE and it was embarrassing to have other parents see this place. When I tried to contact the owner after the event, to relay my disappointment and feedback, he did not respond. Oh, and they promised a "goody bag" which was a brown paper bag with mostly coupons in it! I hardly call that a goody bag for 5 year olds! read more
