Rahway spine and healthcare has been a phenomenal experience - able to recover from a few injuries…read morein a few weeks! I've left a fairly extensive review broken into a few parts: summary (below), personal history and perspective, their approach, and some misc. stuff (timing, ambience, music, payment types, location) Summary: I've had terrible knee pain in the past (every 6 months) - can't walk or sleep for 4-5 days - and it came up again. Within the second visit (8th day since pain start), I was walking (not limping/dragging), and sitting into a good squat. I've done about 7 visits (2 weeks) now and I'm pain-free and have more mobility in my right leg than when I first started. We're currently working on addressing the core issues (weak core + previous injury leading to hip and quad imbalances) using a combination of therapies (physical therapy, acupuncture, massage, chiropractor). I've realized this place knows how to make all four work together and how different the experience is without one. So yes, you can call it holistic medicine but that term has a fluffy new age connotation that makes me run the other way. These guys are practical, knowledgeable, and *extremely* effective. Just a little personal history: Usually this knee issue lasts about 7-10 days but I wanted to treat it and fix the problem instead of waiting. When I first went in, I was a little hesitant of their approach but it took me 2 sessions to realize it works! In the past, I've visited many physical therapists (6+) for various problems and this center is ranked #1 in my book. Their approach is a combination of treatments that works on muscle (physical therapy) and bone (chiropractor) then reinforces these core gains with stimulation to increase blood flow and new tissue grwoth (massage and acupuncture). During treatments, they use modern tools (e.g. anti-gravity treadmill, de-compression table, ultrasound) and techniques (e.g. Grafton technique) for each treatment which shows the staff's dedication - it's not just a body shop! The best part is the treatment is made up of active (stretches, exercises) and passive care (ultrasound therapy, massages, etc.). I personally love passive since I don't have to do much but each person's treatment is unique based on assessment and capability. Most of visit 1-3 was getting showered in love with ultrasound, Grafton, massages, acupuncture and chiropractic adjustments. When I had mobility and no pain, they reintroduced the good stuff. Timing: they're open late on weekdays (7pm+) and have availability on Saturdays. For most of 9-5-ers this is gold. I travel out-of-state for most of the week so knowing I can visit them on 2-3x/week between Thurs-Sat is a blessing! Also they're very flexible with their appointments (I've changed 2-3 times per day). Staff: incredible and kind people. Everyone is easy to work with and they work well with each other; it's very complementary! Ambience: Modern almost-futuristic looking facility. It's very clean and very minimal (barebones feeling like you moved in with just right necessities). Music: This is one of the best little perks. Each room (PT, main, acupuncture/massage) has a different theme and music playing. It's very fun and appropriate to area that you're in. Payment: they take apple pay and credit cards! (as well as cash) Location: 3.5 min walk from Rahway train station. *update* I recently sprained my ankle and had 2 visits left. In 48 hours and 2 visit later, I'm able to walk without pain/no limp and swelling is minimal.

I highly recommend this facility for quality care as you take care of your body. The atmosphere is…read moreset as soon as you walk through the door with the astonishing fragrance that envelops your nostrils. The staff is remarkable with the care and understanding that they extend to you during the visit. Dr. Osar has assembled a team of GEMS who are experts in their field. I look forward to my next session as I work toward improved health.

    1. I live 45 minutes away from this place so I made sure I called so that I had all the necessary…read morepaperwork and I told them I had a gift certificate and they said just bring that in and it has the item number on it so I said no problem. 2. As I'm in the waiting room one of the clerks named Tatiana was getting into a dispute with one of the customers because he was looking for paperwork that she did not have and she was getting very frustrated with the person in front of me. 3. When my name is finally called after filling out all of the paperwork and bringing in the receipt for three acupuncture treatments, Tatiana literally throws the paper back at me and says your insurance isn't good here and you don't have the paperwork that I needed. I told her I called in advance and that they said this was the only thing that I needed and she said well if that's the case we never would have booked you to begin with. And I said well I guess you must have called me because by your attitude right now I can tell that you don't really understand what your job description is because you already had a problem with a person in front of me and now you're telling me I need papers that I specifically asked for on the phone because I'm coming from a long distance. 4. So Tatiana decides to throw my papers back in my face and say that they're no good here because I didn't have the groupon. I told her that I got it as a present so I wouldn't have that and I asked on the phone beforehand and nobody told me anything about that. She said oh well there's nothing we can do for you now and I said that's not very professional. So what does she do? She decides to get up and walk away. Right in the middle of the conversation. I said that was very childish I'm trying to figure out what's going on here and you literally just stand up and walk away and everyone in the waiting room saw you do that why would you treat people like that when you're acting like a child. 5. Then they lost my license and my insurance card because Tatiana in her anger I guess thought she gave it back to me but she didn't. So I went back in to retrieve it. 6. That's when I met Judy who was in charge of the center and I told her that her clerks were very rude and disrespectful and I was trying to have a conversation with them because I specifically called on the phone beforehand to make sure that I had everything I needed. She told me once again that it's for acupuncture and they wouldn't have booked me because of something else that I needed to begin with. How come nobody told me that on the phone? Nobody had an answer for that. 7. So I gave them my information for them to send back my license and my insurance cards if they found them and the ever so nice Tatiana decided to have her party words and called me childish... What great customer service. 8. As I was talking to Judy Tatiana was making up lies about what she said and what our interaction consisted of. I do not think she is a strong worker she definitely does not have interpersonal skills or any empathy for patients and she was extremely rude. I asked Judy if she was new because she didn't seem to know what was going on and I may have shown a little bit of empathy for her if she was new but Judy said she's been here for a while and I suggested that they might look for other help because people work at the front desk generally have a sunny disposition and try to work with the customer. Instead I got berated and made fun of and literally lost over $100 that they get for free on their Groupon that they decided not to honor. 9.I was definitely a little bit perturbed by this because I had tried to make a previous appointment but they were always booked because of covid when the original Groupon was purchased. I was told by the lovely Tatiana that we've been booking people all along so she has no idea why that would have happened. Once again showing her inexperience and lack of customer skills and lack of empathy and just basically lack of care for anybody except herself looking good in her office. 10. Then the kicker. Tatiana tells her bosses including Judy who's the owner that she got up from her chair because she was going to get the manager and she told me that. Which is a complete and utter lie because she literally just stomped out of the room and left me standing there looking around at everybody else in the office as they were watching the interaction take place 11. So now this place got free money off of me because they did not honor or redeem my Groupon, they did not tell me what I needed as far as necessary paperwork to bring in, even though I was going to pay $40 extra on top of the Groupon so I guess they just made out great and made a couple hundred bucks by doing zero treatments. I posted much more but because of the length of my post I had to cut it down but I would definitely not recommend this place in any way shape or form.

He's seen me through my spinal reconstructive surgery and found me the top spinal reconstruction surgeon in the country and made sure that I had a successful surgery and recovery which I did! He's also seen me at my sickest with Lyme and when I was fortunate enough to find him five years ago. He understands the disease and the severity of the symptoms that come with it. He's now seeing me through a knee replacement surgery from an old sports injury. He's performed numerous spinal epidurals on me always getting to the source of the pain. He's the most thorough doctor I've ever had and before my spinal surgery I was in terrible shape and Dr. Menkin gave me the best possible and most comprehensive treatment that any other pain specialist has ever given me! I'm forever grateful to this exceptional and talented and lovey doctor! After my knee replacement surgery I'll be as good as new but I would have never have recovered successfully without the care and precision health care I received from Dr. Menkin! I wouldn't go anywhere else but here if you want quality care and a doctor who treats you in your entirety! He's the absolute best!
