They have decent hours to come workout. The locker room is also kept nice and clean, and has lockers that you can self-program daily so you don't need to bring a lock! I have showered there- the water is hot and the pressure was good but the curtain is way too small for the shower! There was no way to have full coverage so I ended up doing a little dance to stay hidden the whole time I showered. I don't think many use the showers so it wasn't like I was seen by anyone, thankfully. They do not offer towels, so bring your own for showering! They offer some good classes with nice variety too- arrive early to guarantee your spot! (You will get a colored ticket to claim your spot in class). The fitness studios, though, get way too cramped due to the popularity of classes. I would think they should just offer less tickets to class or try to move them to one of the park district studio areas or basketball court! It's a great place overall and a great deal on price per month too.

Between the convenient location and plentiful equipment, I can get my workout in quickly and get on with my day. While I would prefer later hours in the evening, that's a small criticism relative to the high quality and value I get here. Within the last couple of weeks I have been harassed by the LaGrange Manager (I think her name is Kristen) telling me that I can no longer keep my account on freeze status, and that I must pay $69 for my final month's membership. I was charged $69 in May 2022, while my account was on freeze status, but was denied a refund. Therefore, I asked the manager to use this $69 charge to apply towards their final month's fee. I was told NO. I was told I could use the sessions, but not the fee. I explained that I am still injured and unable to use the sessions, and that I have been out of work for 2 years, but not consideration on their part. Payment is required, no matter what. I have since contacted the BBB, as well as the Corporate Office in Boca Raton. I am extremely disappointed in their customer service and lack of compassion.

Aside from the overall vibe, I like that the people at Elite are upfront with regard to their pricing. There are no guessing games. Their rates are listed on their Web site. They also offer a ten punch card so you can try out the gym before you make a commitment. Those who workout at Elite seem to be connected members of the local community. I find that the clientele is friendly, respectful, and fitness-focused. Lastly, the gym is located in a very cute area of Western Springs. There are several local businesses nearby that you can visit before or after a workout. It's also important to note that parking has never been an issue for me at Elite.

They explained everything to me from where I come in at, what time I should be there before each class, what to expect from each class and how they are structured. (Jeff is another exceptional trainer!) Everything inside is clean and looks nice. The equipment is wiped down after each class by one of the trainers. They also provide a free sweat towel. (Which you will definitely need!) Each class has an awesome name, MVP, Panthers, West Hollywood, Monte Blanc, Foxtrot, Angry Birds, etc etc. 45 minutes. And thats all you need! Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays are more cardio based. Tuesday and Thursdays are more strength training and Saturdays are a mix of strength and cardio. They show you each workout before class starts, but it's also up on the TV incase you forget. You start with a warm up and you end with a cool down and stretch. (Which I love because most places don't take the time for this and it's just as important as the workout itself) The trainers are phenomenal and experienced. Dion filled up my water bottle for me in the middle of an exercise because she saw it was empty. She hands out sweat towels when she sees you need one. Her and Kristin encourage you when they can tell you are struggling. "Don't give up!" "10 seconds left!" "You got 1 more rep!" And every exercise can be modified if needed. (They will show you how) Challenging! This place will push you and motivate you. The other members are nice and everyone says good job at the end and high fives. I definitely recommend it and I'm excited there will be another location opening up in Oakbrook.
