For prospective customers reading this, here is the verified context: Fraudulently advertising yourselves as a "James Hardie Elite Preferred Contractor" to secure the job, only to systemically violate the manufacturer's strict installation guidelines, is not a "punch-list" oversight--it is deceptive marketing and a material breach of contract. Puncturing an internal PVC plumbing pipe, illegally wrapping it in black duct tape, and immediately hiding it behind the new siding is not a 'punch-list' item - it is active fraudulent concealment. The 'Fraudulent' Financing: We authorized the payment because they claimed to follow actively concealed the duct-taped plumbing. Inducing a customer to authorize a loan by hiding severe damage is the legal definition of fraudulent concealment. Contradictory Public Statements & The BBB Complaint: JP Exteriors is using public platforms to feign cooperation. On our active BBB complaint, they claim they are waiting for our independent inspection report before taking action. However, their own written record proves they inspected the property themselves on June 11th and issued a superficial patching offer on June 22nd. The very next day, they explicitly stated in writing they were not willing to expand their scope to a full replacement, formally refusing to cure the hidden defects before our third-party inspection was even conducted on June 24th. The 42-page independent inspection report, which we received on June 29, definitively confirms that the widespread, concealed code violations and structural deficiencies cannot be resolved through superficial patching. He had great insights, let me nag him about every possible question I could come up with, was flexible if I had any changes of heart about this or that, extremely easy to work with. All of his subs were top notch, which I can say as a business owner in the construction field myself is extremely rare. Plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, tile work, all were fantastic. He's surrounded himself with great people that get the job done right the first time.
