Communication was smooth throughout the process, including on the day of delivery, which made everything feel organized and reliable. When we went in to order the flowers, my mom was having a very hard time, and the compassion that was shown her was truly extraordinary and above and beyond what one would expect. Kindness yes, but such personal care was unexpected. They even agreed to keep the flowers for the couple of days between the viewing and the funeral and just made everything so very easy. On top of all that, the flowers were beyond beautiful. Just the most tasteful spray and arrangement that truly reflected our requests and honoured my brother. So, that in and of itself sounds like a 10 star review right? Well, it gets better... I had a call from my mom last week, and she was upset, because, all the flowers had been removed from my brother's grave. A glass vase filled with fresh cut flowers, what remained of the spray and a bunch of roses that had been dropped off by various friends and family members. I went to Sonya's a couple of days later to order some fresh new flowers, similar to the funeral arrangement because it was so beautiful, and again I was met with just the most compassionate service. Order placed, I waited for the call to tell me when they'd be ready and they called back the very same day to tell me I could pick them up on Saturday. Today, I went to pick up the flowers, and she was telling me that the vase was refillable and had a spike in it to secure in the ground, and then wished me well. When I told her I still have to pay for them, she said "No you don't, what do a few flowers cost me" and well of course, I just burst into tears and gave her a big hug. People and businesses like this are rare these days, but I am so glad I stumbled upon this one. At a tragic time in our lives, the genuine kindness of the people at Sonya's has really touched us all and I will forever be their biggest fan... so go buy your flowers there from now on OK.
