Dan made the process easy to understand and as painless as these things could get.

Once they received my paperwork (DC & court papers) that I gave in person to this location, Loretta told me over the phone that they would send me an estate application, that I would need an EIN, and it would take 7-10 business days after processing the application to open and fund the account. She also said they need my signature on file which they have through the application. I waited for them to send the application, and I waited, and waited. I called and left a few voicemails with Loretta over the course of a few weeks, and didn't get a call back. I finally requested to speak to another staff member, and immediately she discovered that the application was sent to the incorrect email address. She got the correct address and sent the application immediately. I filled that out and waited for them to tell me it was funded. I waited 7 days, and then I called them. It was funded earlier in the week. I had a few checks to deposit to this account, so I took them into this location. The teller was friendly, and he told me it wasn't necessary to sign these checks. Later, I paid them another visit. I had title paperwork that needed several pages to be notarized. I checked in with the person up front, and they led me straight into the room to take care of our business. I've had very good experiences in person at this location, but the handling of the business via the phone wasn't nearly as much fun.

Then there is a button that says cancel zelle payment button on the schwab app. I pressed it, and it said it was canceled. I walked into the schwab brokerage building to deposit a check into my checking account. And the first thing the representative said was oh your using this check to pay your zelle balance? And I told him, that I had canceled that zelle payment on the app. Then the next day I sent money through zelle and it sent immediately this time. Then I was going to send money that night through zelle and my zelle account was locked. Schwab said they would send zelle an email. Then I deposited money into my checking through plaid the day after the zelle incident. Then I tried to login to my schwab app and all it said was i could not log in and to call a number. I called the number and the lady said my account is frozen. That the check I deposited was fake. And that the only way to unfreeze my account was to fax all my income sources. I did not receive any notification that my schwab account was frozen, leading me to believe that schwab thinks I'm the one committing fraud. Then I explained that I had deposited money and it said it would take a few days to process. Then the lady said since your account is frozen schwab will not accept the money. Today, schwab DID accept the money. I have no money because my account is frozen. And every time I call them they say they are working on it.

She provided us with all the information we needed, kept us informed on status and required additional data, and made sure our approval was done as quickly as possible. We had gone to our credit union with no success, Denise called me and when I told her we had gone to the credit union she said: "you don't want to do that, you want to use us and the homes for Heroes program" (I work in law enforcement). I entertained her offer and I'm so glad that I did! I know I can be a pain more often then not, she stuck by me through all my irrational wishes. She set me up with a realtor who was amazing and always dependable. While we didn't end up in the fixer upper that we wanted (to our benefit, I assure you) we got a great home that's everything we could have asked for and more! She was also able to help us adjust our credit a little and we got a great rate on a house that would have originally been over budget and even got our monthly payment to be under budget!! If you're home shopping I highly suggest you start at First Mortgage! And if you're already shopping with another broker, go see what she can do for you before signing anything!
