It was completely demoralizing and within 2 weeks of the immediate surgery I was referred to Ivy in Whippany by my surgeon's office. It did not take me long to build in Confidence with the entire staff. That includes all of the Therapists, support staff and Carla who handles admin from many angles. There process is very consistent and yet every therapist has their own style and approach. At first I had Justin as my primary therapist, but he was in the process of being transferred to a different location. My initial reaction was to follow him. However, after of couple of sessions with Bella, I decided to stay on at Ivy Whippany. Soon it did not matter which therapist I had for an appointment. Every exercise was diligently documented at each session and there was never a gap from session to session. In addition, getting a mix of appts with Bella, Michelle and Namrata allowed for a variety of style, tips and tweaks that made the sessions and outside motivation even higher. In addition, the energy level stays high at every session. Their attention to detail, skill and knowledge was extremely impressive. They had me on the golf playing full rounds 5 months from the accident and surgery! Tom J

It is nice to get the level of professionalism that he was able to provide. He helped me navigate my Medicare which was great because Medicare is new to me. He also made scheduling a breeze. Steve and his associates working with me on my PT have been great. I have had bad experiences in other PT groups that seem to use cookie cutter techniques. Steve and his staff are constantly checking and making adjustments to my treatment insuring that my progress goes in the right direction without causing any new issues. I could not be more happy with the whole experience, from the moment you walked through the door and until you leave. Great place

From my first visit, I was extremely impressed by the pleasant, clean, and bright atmosphere as well as state of the art equipment. Everyone I met was welcoming and caring. The front desk and management staff are very efficient in arranging appointments and willing to answer any and all questions promptly. Every patient is personally greeted at every visit and any requests or accommodations are compassionately addressed. The professional staff I have met are very positive, friendly, and highly skilled. I feel very comfortable and cared for. They listened and developed a comprehensive treatment plan to address my low back, leg, and hip pain including physical exercises as well as outstanding hands-on care. In a short time, I have experienced greater strength, flexibility, and pain relief. I am deeply grateful to have benefitted from the exceptional physical therapy services provided by Jenn and the whole staff and am confident that I will continue to improve due to their dedication to high quality care. Thanks so much for helping me. EJA

Matt at Professional Physical Therapy is the best!…read more I have been to him twice now for two related but slightly different issues, and each time I am amazed! He clearly has an unparalleled understanding of human anatomy and the way micro-injuries can turn into bigger injuries when left untreated over time. He took his time assessing me and and always gave me full undivided attention at every session. I was so hesitant about going to someone out of network but it was more than worth it to get my body back to normal. He helped heal both a sacroiliac joint issue and a hip dysfunction issue. Also, when I canceled an appointment because I was feeling better he was thrilled for me because he said that was good news! I'm going to try their Pilates group classes to build core strength to prevent future injuries and I am really looking forward to it!

I have visited several (SEVERAL) top rated physical therapy centers in DC, NY and NJ over the past 10 years to relieve the same problems. No one has been able to successfully help and some have even said "you're going to have to live with it". From day one, this team of professional, attentive and serious physical therapists fixed me up. They know their stuff. Matthew, Yuchin and Paul are insanely knowledgeable, they take the time to really figure out what ails you, they never try to hustle you out, they're with you every minute of the session. I learn something new about my body and how it works every time. Whether you're an athlete or just someone trying to bounce your body back to mobility, this is the ONLY place I'd recommend.

You may be thinking, "Only the old folks go there" but I can assure you, while that is the…read moremajority, it's not everyone. And if you have some rare, hardly known disease or an injury, they are entirely worth a visit -- or several. For me, I had tried several different physical therapy places. This over a range of time, somewhere in the 2000-aughts to now. It was usually a failure. Places that cannot do aught but follow the script will not be able to work with all. That script includes: - Three sets of 10 - Losing the patient's interest - not adjusting the exercises to fit the individual's need Those are the three big ones for me. It sounds so weird to anyone who has the ability to concentrate, keep the count, not get lost in music (but I really need that, so there is not as much input on my part with dead silence), and adult-onset dystrophia myotonia D-PROMM Type II is an infrequently mentioned disease. But at this SportsCare, I have gotten to know everyone (just about). The first person I had met was Michael Cote, a fun, smart 29-year-old guy (at the time - he may have hit the BIG 3-0 now!); I learned something very, very important: I can learn a lot from a "kid" of 30 (I'm 58 now) as I can a person of 85. I love that. He taught me a lot of the world that I just did not know. And I learn from every one of them: Tim, who just had a daughter; Ron, who loves punk music; Sophie, who hails from Michigan (a lovely state); Gina, who is sweet! Chelsea, David...I haven't the room to name them all. They are all very committed, have worked with all my specific oddities, and for me, this is a lifetime endeavour. With the folks here as dedicated as they are, I don't mind the prospect nearly so much. Every physical challenge I face, they are invested in swapping out various exercises, movements, I videoed my very difficult getting up the stairs in our house, and they have it, look at it to determine the next steps. THAT is truly the love of the art! They all try so hard to work with me -- and utterly succeed. No question.

The therapists I worked with, Mike, Adrian, and Natalie, as well as assistants Andy, Wes, and Julian, were all extremely knowledgeable and personable throughout my time with them. Keep up the great work!
