I recently contacted them to do a quick patch job. They provided me with a quote which I agreed to since I was under the understanding that like most services provided, the actual invoice would be adjusted based on actual work performed. We supplied the shingles and the two employees were at our property for 45 minutes total. When I received my invoice for the exact same amount as the quote ($490+hst) I was actually shocked. I called and left a message with the receptionist so that I could chat with them about it. I didn't receive a call back. The next morning I called again. I spoke with someone and explained calmly that I am absolutely happy to pay for services rendered but I didn't think it was fair to charge me $563 for 45 minutes of work. The response I got was that "there's nothing we can do" and that "people expect them to drive all over the province for $50 but they're not just two guys and a hammer. They have insurance to pay and WCB to pay". To be clear, I live in Canning and they are in Port Williams. I was more than happy to pay for the work done but I clearly stated to him that they were being unfair. He didn't budge at all so I paid the invoice but I will never use them again. read more
