Simply put I made clear my expectations from the beginning and those expectations were not met. I paid a lot of money and didn't get my money's worth. I would do some more research before selecting Accents. Make very, very clear what you want and then hold them to it. If you keep getting told "It's early. it will grow" don't put too much faith in that. I did and now a year later I'm out of 'growing time' and got about half of what I expected and paid for. read more

I would never recommend Dr. Berkowitz for any surgery and didn't know that he isn't even certified in Plastic Surgery. All I wanted was to get rid of the "parenthesis" from the nose to the chin and they are worse along with the neck sagging. When he learned that I was not happy, he refused to see me. My long hair was cut or ripped from the front probably due to bandages and I also have a lump on my nose that is permanent from resurfacing. Another plastic surgeon can repair the damage, but I need my money back to have it done. How can he get away with this? read more

I just recently had Neograft Surgery and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. Everyone from Dr. Berkowitz, Maria and the two technicians (Monica and Samy) that performed the procedure were professional, courteous, and did an amazing job. They made sure I was comfortable, answered any questions, and I couldn't be happier with how they sculpted the hairline. Everything about the post-recovery process has been spot on and it was far less of an ordeal than I thought. It is pretty much all healed and I'm just 10 days out from my procedure. Not the type to write reviews but I, along with multiple people I have referred to this business have had bad experiences. I got lip filler done from a nurse practitioner. At the time they explained to me there was a promotion going on where my next lip filler would be $500 (discounted). When I went back they denied that was a program existed at all and that I had to pay full price. Ok fine, whatever. Annoying but what can I do? I then pay full price for an even more expensive lip filler that's supposed to last closer to 18 months. The result was a lot of bumps, migration, and unevenness. I went back to have it corrected and they said all they can do is dissolve it and then I have to pay full price again to have it fixed. What kind of service is that?? Finally I decide to go to another place to get it done and they told me to go back and have it dissolved by the original place. I do, they don't offer any sort of correction for their errors. They "dissolve" it and there was still a ton of filler left in it and bumps so I then had to pay $200 for my new doctor to dissolve it all and remove the bumps. Terrible patient support/service and I'm now over $1000 and multiple needles in my lips into lip filler with no desired results yet. I don't recommend this business, and as I said before I have recommended them to multiple other people who have had undesirable experiences there as well. I'm embarrassed I recommended them. Not a good way to run a business that's supposed to improve your appearance. read more

I went for a consultation regarding the hiko nose thread lift. The pricing was exceedingly high -- more than half the cost of a rhinoplasty in this area! The office space also wasn't very attractive. It looked quite dated. The nurse who was with me was not at all aware of what this procedure entailed. To be honest, she didn't have good bedside manner. Instead, she felt more like an overly aggressive salesperson. I didn't really feel like she was listening to my concerns. It felt more like she was trying to sell me a service that she wasn't even knowledgeable about. She also kept trying to sell me fillers and additional services, which I already said I was not interested in. It was also quite difficult to schedule my consultation, because I could only book it through this particular nurse. Every time I called for her, or she returned my call, it would be when one of us was unavailable. And, apparently, the receptionists couldn't book appointments on her behalf. I had to make, like, 5 phone calls to get on the calendar. During the consultation, Dr. Berkowitz told me that he didn't have any before-and-after pictures for the hiko nose lift, and that he's only done this for around 10 patients so far. My concerns were not assuaged at all upon hearing this -- especially given the prices I was quoted at. He just couldn't provide me with any concrete expectations. I was really hoping that the hiko nose lift would be the better, cheaper, and more minimally invasive procedure that I wanted. But in the end, I booked a consultation with a very well-known facial plastic surgeon for rhinoplasty. And I've decided to go through that route instead, since I have a better understanding of what my nose would look like afterwards. Also, the price increase seems negligible for more tangible, significant, and longer-lasting results. Perhaps for other procedures, Dr. Berkowitz inspires more confidence. But at least in regards to a nose lift, I was very turned off by my experience. I think it'd be better to see someone else if this is something you're interested in, or just save up for rhinoplasty instead. read more

These are pictures from the Juvederm lip fillers I received by Dr. Berkowitz in July 2018. I didn't share them for the longest time, but after going through some old photos and coming across these, I got so angry I couldn't help but post them. I went to Dr. Berkowitz because he was one of the highest rated doctors in the Detroit, Michigan area and this was my first time receiving fillers, but I was extremely dissatisfied with my results. A procedure that was intended to improve my self-image extremely hurt my self-esteem. I cried, and refused to smile with my mouth open for months because of the disgusting lumps and bumps on my lips I was left with thanks to this doctor. I had the injections dissolved in multiple places twice afterwards so I wouldn't looked as BOTCHED. Even more irritating than the obvious mistakes make when injecting my filler was the doctor and staff's refusal to fix the problems. Each time I requested the Hyaluronidase to have the filler dissolved, Dr. Berkowitz ensured me that my lips looked fantastic and "if I was his daughter, he would tell me not to touch them." Either he's blind or doesn't like his daughter very much... He left me looking like a deformed duckface. read more

Hi! I have an older cousin who lives in Michigan, and when she came down to Austin to visit me she looked SOOO much younger! I knew she had gotten plastic surgery, but I'm not fond of plastic surgery... Well, I wasn't. She changed my mind! (I know a lot of celebrities get botox or plastic surgery, but I never thought someone in my family would, to be honest.) Anyway, when I asked her what she had done and where, she said she had gone to Accents for several different treatments over the past few months. She had THE best botox job, because she could still smile and her skin just looked tighter, not stiffer like those actresses. She also had some cellulite treatment. Maybe she found the best plastic surgeon, I don't know. But, she really changed my mind about plastic surgery, and when I'm older I'll definitely look into coming to Accents, too! Over priced for the services the techs rush through the facials and also felt like being at a used car lot talked me into purchasing fillers and other services!
