My fault for not realizing the job ad was below my expectations. The HR recruiter assured me that she felt what I was asking for was within reason and to still come for the interview. I decided to go to the interview. I show up on time. The owner who is going to interview me is late . It's a pretty decent interview. He asks me when I could meet with his team in the specific office they are hiring for. I ask specifically about the salary expectations. He proceeds to tell me that my experience as a staffing coordinator is not in the same field so I would start lower. He then proceeds to tell me that because I am currently working part-time he would be offering me full-time hours, so I would be technically getting more money. "You would just have to work for your money". Then proceeds to tell me how I have been working part-time and people will not be willing to look at me for a full-time position because of this. Then explains how when retired people start working again and cannot keep up with the full-time schedule, comparing me to retired people. Waste of time. I feel bad for people that work there currently as I'm sure he tries to devalue them as people as well. Don't work here.

After a lot of stress and having to speak to managers, supervisors at warehouse they finally paid me for the mistake. But a friend of mine encouraged me to use Arrow Professional Services: www.arrowprofessionals.com because she said they would take the time to listen to me, and put me in a position that was right for me. I decided to give them a chance, and my friend gave me the name of the recruiter. His name is Rony Thomas. I called him and he asked me to send in my resume. I did, and a few days later he called me in for an interview. The office was really nice, and he invited me into the board room to discuss several positions. He asked me great questions, and spoke to me about my previous experience and wanted to understand what it is that I wanted to do. He then mentioned that he thought I would be a good addition to two companies that he was recruiting for. He took the extra time to explain to me the differences between them. He asked me which one I preferred, and I told him. He then mentioned that he would try to get me in one or the other. When I received a call from him a week later, he said that the company I was interested in, was interested in me for the position I wanted. Rony invited me in for another meeting. This time he prepared me for my interview. He was very good at explaining how the process was going to work, and I went home confident. A few days later, I had my actual interview at the company, and it was great. I felt that I had aced it. I called Rony right away, and he said he would check with the company to see if I got the job and he would call me back. I waited nervously for a few days, until he called me and told me I GOT THE JOB! I would really recommend Arrow Professional Services to anyone. When I arrived at the Adecco office, I was greeted by a very unprofessional and rude secretary, The secretary told me that I was required to create a profile on their website before meeting with the senior recruiter. This took a considerable amount of time and it was a process that could have been completed at home, before my meeting, had I been told to do so. When I finally met with the recruiter, what was supposed to be an interview turned out to be a 5-minute chat that consisted of me handing over a hard copy of my resume and being praised for my professionalism and my excellent work experience. It has been over four weeks since I met with the recruiter and I have yet to hear back from her and my attempt to contact her was ignored. After going on Yelp, I can see that many people in different cities within North America have all had terrible experiences with this company, and I can't say it surprises me.

Yes, you have to have a SIN number and be able and willing to be employed or self-employed. They will interview you to make sure you are eligible. They help you with resumes, interviews, marketing yourself (e.g. on LinkedIn), career training. I found out they even use virtual reality to train you in certain careers like bar tending. You can use their computers, print up to 10 pages per day, use their phones for out-going calls related to employment, etc. The place also have several meeting rooms for their training. I went there to register for their 5-day course on video production. The staff are kind and helpful.
