I brought my 5 year old here for flu like symptoms to ensure that what he was experiencing was normal. Unfortunately, the provider's behavior was downright rude, dismissive, and unprofessional from the start. When I calmly asked how long the flu test results would take so I could plan around work, the provider responded sarcastically and condescendingly with, "Oh my word, I know your work is so important to you, but it's just a 2-minute test, ma'am." She continued to make remarks implying I was "in such a rush," despite the fact that we were the only patients in the building at the time. The provider then stated she would call or text me with the test results, again referencing that I was "in a hurry." I never received a call, text, or any follow-up with the results at all. This is unacceptable, especially when it involves a sick child and diagnostic testing. Throughout the visit, I was repeatedly told that I "should have gone to the ER," even though urgent care is exactly where parents are advised to go for these concerns. There was no sense of urgency, no reassurance, and no respectful communication. Just because the clinic was not busy does not mean patients' time or concerns are unimportant -- it is called urgent care, and some level of urgency and professionalism should be expected. I understand healthcare is stressful, but sarcasm, judgment, and failure to follow through with test results is not acceptable. This experience left me feeling disrespected and discouraged from returning. I hope this location seriously addresses provider professionalism and patient communication. read more

Incompetent!! I was diagnosed with an ear infection. They specifically highlighted on the admit form to write the pharmacy name AND address. The nurse practitioner said she would send in prednisone and amoxicillian. Went to pick up prescription at Walgreens ( which I wrote on my form) and it wasn't there and of course the office was closed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called 1st thing in the morning and the receptionist said that they called it into Publix and it was their mistake but nothing they could do.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Went to Publix and only one prescription was there. Called office AGAIN and whoops the nurse practioner didn't write it down the second prescription and they can't call it in because they needed her approval and she was off for the next 2 days. Finally, i see a nurse who instantly said: No we don't do that but I'll get the PA.. who walked in and said We don't do that, see a dermatologist and left.. less than 30 seconds all included. They still charged me a lot more than other places for Co-pay and billed my insurance a ridiculous amount. Not going back there. I came in for an abscess and the doctor was very nice and drained it, but not completely. I later found out from my dermatologist that the wall of the abscess was left in there when it was initially drained at this urgent care. So it was not a recurring new abscess. This also explained why I still had a medium to large visible bump with fluid in it even after finishing the round of antibiotics and cleansing the area as instructed. So I was very disappointed to basically repeat the process all over again a week later at my dermatologist's office. But thankfully at my doctor's office, they were able to remove the wall of the original abscess I had. Lastly, I don't know if I would return to this urgent care since I would be very concerned to have a similar situation occur again. read more

Disappointing as we were there two years ago for a similar incident, unknown rash. The front desk was polite and efficient in getting us logged in. We were escorted to the examination room , had an intake done by someone, then waited 30 minutes to be seen. They weren't busy as there was no one in the waiting room ahead of us. I did go out to the front desk and asked about the delay. My husband was seen by a PA, who we both felt didn't explain things very clearly, especially why she was giving the specific medications that she was. We actually asked her to come back in a second time to go over the meds and a possible explanation for the unknown rash. Brought my five year old in one evening with fever, congestion, sore throat; the works! Everyone there from the front, desk lady to the doctor were so kind and patient to us, and with him. I cannot explain how poor this UC center is. I had a poor experience here about a year ago but they are right across the street from me so I thought maybe it would be better. I walked in and the girl asked what my main symptom was. I explained im having upper respiratory problems than I am having a hard time breathing. She has the audacity to hand me a mask and tell me to smugly to put it on? I explained to her I cant breathe im not gonna restrict my breathing more, she said Its protocol I cant get service wo it. Thankfully they did take me back fast where as soon as I walked through their doors to the patient rooms no one was wearing masks? I thought it was protocol? They than ran a number of tests on me and said they would call me in 2 days with results. 3 days later I called them where they informed me that some of my tests were negative that they would call me when the rest are in. This urgent care was so professional and nice from the moment I walked in and out of the door. I had been battling the fever, swollen glands, sore throat thing that's going around for too long so I went to see them. I didn't have the flu, covid or strep, but they did offer a test that will tell us in a few days exactly what it is (I had never known they had such a test). With this test, we will know how to exactly treat the symptoms with either rest or the correct medication. Keep up the good work! read more

A visit here after my daughter gashed her thumb open the night before.. Melinda was great, she did say it would have been better to get her to the hospital the night before but she made me feel better by saying she may have done the same thing, it's hard to know for sure. My son had complained about an ear ache so I took him to this facility at 6:30. They supposed to be open until 7:30. When we arrived there was a note on the door that the Dr would be leaving early so I poked my head in and asked if we could still be seen. The male doctor asked what was wrong and I told him to which he rolled his eyes and told the receptionist to "get them in". The receptionist asked for his insurance card and I told her that I had a copy of it but I didn't have the actual card. She said they couldn't take that and that she's new there and "not trying to get in trouble" when I pressed that they wouldn't see us even with all of his insurance info available. I decided at that point that it wouldn't be worth staying and we went to the next urgent care near us where we were seen promptly and with compassion. read more

Nightmare When registering told receptionist I was pretty sure I have a lung infection having dealt with ear/nose/throat infections when younger and family history. (67 yrs) Next, very young PA? MARK ...comes out BEFORE my check in and tells me he will NOT give me any antibiotics and no one is there to take an X-ray . I have not had an antibiotic in 20 years but I know when I cough up DARK GREEN mucus I need a Z-pak (azithromycin)...I was so upset when he finally got me in treatment room, my usually very low blood pressure was 190/100..then he says 'we can't treat you because of blood pressure you need to go to Emergency Hospital??? I could not believe it...MARK was reason blood pressure shot up because he came out BEFORE me being taken into room telling me NO ANTIBIOTICS! Today, going to different urgent care will let you know how it goes...HELIX URGENT CARE were wonderful. Leo kindly took my intake information, and Dr. Stephen heard me cough & immediately said you need anabiotic and prednisone to shrink swelling in your lungs and cough medicine. My husband went to this urgent care facility last month and they charged him $125 for the visit. We have very good Cigna insurance and our urgent care copay is $40, which is printed on the front of all of our insurance cards. He wasn't feeling well so he paid and dealt with it. I went in the next day and requested a refund for the difference. The girl at the front desk told me I'd have to wait for our Explanation of Benefits from the insurance company to prove our copay amount. I never got one so I called the insurance company. The urgent care office never submitted a claim to the insurance. My son went to this same urgent care a few months ago. They charged him $80 and his copay was also $40 (because he was on our insurance). I also never received an explanation of benefits for him so I called the insurance company. The urgent care office never submitted a claim to the insurance. So on top of not actually accepting insurance, they're false advertising, lying to the public and the insurance companies and screwing people out of money. On top of all of this....they did one test on my husband that was supposedly supposed to check him for Covid, Flu, etc. and couldn't even process it in their office. They outsourced it and the results took 4 days!! AND!!!! They sent it to a lab who wasn't in our network!! They know who our insurance is through and who they cover! The name of the lab they sent it to is Vikor Scientific LLC. Who the hell is that? Anyone ever heard of it because I sure as hell haven't!! Trust me, I'll be in contact with the Better Business Bureau and Cigna. I will also be finding out who the people in this office are to make sure they never employed in a reputable office in this town. read more

I've tried coming to this walk in now 2 different times for covid related issues and have basically been turned around both times. I came once prior for an infected cyst waited nearly 2 hours to be seen and was given medication for an infection and was basically told that that's all they could do. I visited another walk in off Kanner hey where they were nothing but great and were able to lance my cyst and get me on my way to recovery. I will never bring my business to this place ever again. They told me to print the cdc guidelines to give to my employer because I could test positive for up to 90 days. Meaning what? My employer should expect me out of work for 90 days? Total trash. When you make an appointment for Covid testing there's no mention of the exorbitant fees they are charging as well as when you call their automated messaging says testing is covered. When you show up at the door they hit you with $195 charge regardless of whether or not you have insurance . Well we will see. I called a left a message last Monday and no one ever called me back. The internet says that they take appointments yet the girl whom I got on the phone Friday said they do not. Also the website says they open at 7:30 yet the message says 8:00. I am heading there this morning we will see. Ok, All done. The DOT Physical part took only few minutes. I got there just before 8:00 they had been open since 7:30. I left at 9:06. Filling out paperwork and waiting was the time spent. Staff was professional and nice, not overly which was good. When I asked him, "that's it?" and stood up to leave he started yelling and screaming and threatening to cancel the prescription. Go somewhere else, this place is garbage. While on vacation, my kids both woke up with a fever. My wife saw that Access 365 had good reviews on Yelp, so I called them to make an appointment. The lady on the phone said, "we don't do appointments. So are you coming in or what?" After arriving, we learned that they don't accept HMO insurance which is the only insurance we have. The lady at the front desk was very rude. She did not smile at all. She acted like she hated working there. We ended up paying out of pocket before my son even got to see a doctor. The place did not have very new equipment. The scale they used to weigh my son was a cheap bathroom scale. I would not take my kids to Access 365 again. read more

Not only did they treat kids, they offered to get the intake info over the phone so we didn't have to wait at the office. The PA was very knowledgeable, through and kind. I went there on Friday March 22 for a sore throat,runny nose and fever. I explained to the dr in charge that this is a every year occurrence and that my own physician ( in New York) always gives me a z-pac or penicillin because it always and upper respiratory,or a sinus infection. After ruling out the flu by doing a nose swab it was confirmed that I did in fact have an infection.everyone that I came in contact with from the receptionist, to the woman taking vitals, to the doctor were kind,and professional. I went to urgent care with sore throat and cough on March 12th. I was diagnosed with Acute Bronchitis. In addition I received a chest x-ray. The PA on duty came into the room and stated rather cavalierly there were no acute findings but there were chronic findings including Chronic Lung Disease And Aortic Calcification. I inquired about the seriousness of these disorders and she stated "it is just getting old and to tell my Primary Care Physician about the findings at my next appointment." I am 58 years old. I looked up both disorders and found that both could be fatal. Immediately contacted my PC. My PC scheduled a chest x-ray in 4 weeks once I recovered from the bronchitis. My chest x-ray was clear and was compared to a chest x-ray I had taken in 2009. There were no changes. I will never go to an Urgent Care facility because I guess I am getting old and not worth the effort to discuss these two diagnosis. went there to get covid testing and after waiting 50 minutes they said my insurance does not cover it. medicare does in fact cover it and so does my united health med supplement. i was in close proximity to someone that just found out that her instructor tested positive. also i have had quad bypass surgery and also have shortness of breath and they said they would charge me $195 for the test that everyone else is doing for free. they suck for joepardising my health read more
