I'm so happy to write this review! I'll give you guys a little personal back story in hopes that it can help other FLORIDIANS who are in a similar situation. Yes, their business is in AZ but they're licensed for several states including Florida. Working through the time difference was trying, but that is a small price to pay for what they did for us. Read on! Does anyone else feel like it was just super easy to buy a house back in the day? Like people always talk about "back in my day" but really, did you all have 40k in student loans "back in your day" I. Do. Not. Think. So. So my family makes a pretty great living and we are blessed but I was told by multiple conventional lenders that they wouldn't consider my family due to a couple of factors. Then I googled no overlay VA lenders Florida and guess what? We built a home for our family. After years of paying for so called luxury apartments and throwing our money away we finally got a chance. I need you all to have realistic expectations that your loan will absolutely be sold to a different bank. Like these guys will not keep you. A lot of banks sell your mortgage. They haven't sold ours yet but I'm anticipating it shortly. If you've been told no, just give these guys a shot. As long as you have suitable income for your situation and no late payments in a 12 month period of time then you should be good to go. Also we put no money down and got money back. We also have a lot of equity in our home already because we contracted in November and closed in June and prices have skyrocketed since then so we are in a great position currently. read more

If you are going to use a lender to buy a home - call Michael O'Connor. Holy moly is this guy better than the invention of sliced bread, tires, and electricity. Just not coffee, nothing is better than the invention of coffee. Seriously, working with Michael was amazing. He made something so painful seem like a piece of cake. I started thinking he was my life coach instead of my lender. He truly stay dedicated to me and helping me through the process. He was always responsive and transparent. After applying for several home-loans my wife and I chose Access Capital, who we found through Lending Tree. Michael O'Connor, a senior Mortgage Consultant reached out to us shortly after applying. After the first phone call he was there for us day one to the day we got our home. He even called after to congratulate us. As first time home buyers, he walked us through every step, told us what to expect next, and helped us with paperwork that confused us. Since we were buying a home from a relative we didn't have a real-estate agent so he even took the time to help me fill out the contract to purchase our home. I wanted to give a 5 star review to Access Capital Group and the person that made it possible, Mark Christoffersen. Mark was engaging, informative, and optimistic from the very beginning for my VA loan. Other lenders state that they are "certified VA lenders", but in reality are just as lost as the veteran is with the process. As someone who previously worked as a mortgage originator I know that some loans are easier to get done than others. Let me just say that our loan was not an easy one. After speaking with several other lenders who advised me that they could not get our loan done I came across Acces Capital group and Tom Lovell who was honest transparent and easy to work with. While we at times had some difficult conversations he never gave up and was relentless in his efforts to help us become homeowners again. For anyone who may have challenges and thing that it may be impossible I would reccomend giving him a call. If he cant do it he will be honest and let you know. Absolutely the worst. Not only did my loan fall over into the next year--no one ever knows anything, can do anything, or updates you with information on the status of your loan. A lot of "I'm in the car and I'll look at your file when I get back" and "I've been working on your file all day" with no results. A lot of promises up front to keep you in the game until it's too late to back out. Find someone professional for your home purchase! *********Update 1/14/15: 15 days after original closing date was scheduled I am still without a home--or a loan. FACT: There were multiple offers on the home I am trying to purchase--I was told by Kathleen at Access Capital Group that I won the bid because I had the strongest loan. Michael O'Connor got me my house. There's no other way to put it. When I applied for a home loan through Lending Tree, two lenders responded. Michael from Access Capital was one. I'd hate to think what would've happened - or not happened - had I chosen the other. I was pre-approved quickly. At the time of my application, I was preparing for a long and brutal trial, so my attention was diverted to that and not the loan. Despite that, Michael patiently worked with me. Even when I failed to respond to his calls and emails for weeks, he would continue to follow up. He did this for about 3-4 months. Michael refused to let me slack on my loan. Thank God he stayed on top. About two weeks after my 3 1/2 week trial ended, I found my house. It was $50k higher than my pre-approved amount, so we had to start over again. Michael kicked the loan application process into high gear. During the 45-day escrow period, he often had to repeat himself during our long conversations because I was exhausted from the long-cause trial, but he never lost his cool with me. He also had to deal with many fronts: an unfocused me, my highly-aggressive realtor, the seller's even more aggressive realtor, and our escrow agent, who happened to be the only person who didn't give Michael any grief. If there was something I needed to do, he always called and emailed to remind me. Near the end of escrow, I had a problem with my credit scores because one old dispute hadn't been resolved and the reporting company was unresponsive to me. Michael prepared documents for me to sign and contacted that company himself. Because of his quick actions, we were able to get that dispute lifted just in time and my loan was approved. In total, I would surmise that I spoke with Michael approximately 50 times, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was more. If I called and he didn't pick up, which was rare, I never had to wait longer than half a day for his response. We often spoke after hours and on Saturdays to accommodate my work schedule. Michael was so easy to talk to that we dispensed with the pleasantries pretty quickly and spoke to each other like friends. He never rushed me off the phone. He also never sugar-coated any problems; he always anticipated them, warned me well in advance, and assured me that he would fix them, which he obviously did. My house was in ready-to-move-in shape, so the only thing my realtor had to do, really, was prepare documents. I am typing this in the comfort of my big home office because of Michael O'Connor. I recently closed on a home thanks to Craig Pribyl from Access Capital. I got a match off Lending Tree while searching for a home loan. I had read reviews prior to agreeing to work with them and saw negative things just as you may see. My experience was completely opposite. It was great! No, they do not help you raise your credit as one reviewer poorly commented on but that is because they are not a credit repair company. They are mortgage brokers. I didn't have perfect credit but I was close. Craig and his assistant Kim worked with me to get things in order and they were always there to answer questions and make sure things get done. I swear they never went home! I was always surprised at how quickly they responded to me. My rate was good, my loan closed a day EARLIER than expected and now I'm writing this from my beautiful, new house! They've become friends to me through this process. Before responding to an "offer" by this company, I researched their background read all of the outstanding reviews. And I walk away completely disappointed. I received the standard reply after applying through LendingTree stating that I just need to submit my information and a pre-approval will be processed within 3 hrs! The only response I received was the next day saying that some of my info was not received. That was the only attempt of real communication from Michael O'Connor. I resent my info. And waited. Nothing. A few auto generated emails, but nothing more. I called his phone number listed on one of these emails. No answer but his message stated that I would receive a call back immediately. Two weeks later, still nothing. What a waste of time. I am now working with a lender who (imagine that) actually returns my calls, seems eager to assist me in the home-buying process. Mark and his team are quite something. We applied for a refinance in April and were approved on the spot. We were parsed out to Mortgage Solutions of Arizona. Initially, all seemed fine, until I didn't hear a word from anyone when our appraisal was supposed to be ordered. When they finally got done, they "lost" our invoice payment for the appraisal and we had to pay it twice (still waiting on the refund). When our file went into formal underwriting, the nightmare started. The underwriter would take weeks to review a small item, approve it, then add an additional item, which then took another week to review. This dragged on for months. They missed our target closing date of June 28. Took another month to re-underwrite it and missed the end of July cut-off, requiring us to make an additional end-of-month payment to our current lender, which started the underwriting process all over again. When issues came up and we would call, email or text Mark, he would ghost us, then send a random short email a few days later. This unnerved us to the point where we were fearful we had signed up with some sort of loan shark or unethical company. When MSC finally cleared our loan for funding, they used an incorrect payoff amount (off by almost 7 grand) for some random reason no one understands and wired the wrong amount to Title. They then had to start the loan process ALL OVER AGAIN. At the end, I had to call, email and follow up daily to get someone there to stay on the ball and get it done. They once again missed the close-off date at the end of July, then again at the end of August. Our loan finally funded on September 1 (was supposed to be August 31 but, once again, money did not get wired in time), a full five months after we started the process. Now, is this all the fault of Access Capital? Maybe not. Mark C. kept blaming it on Covid and the fact that MSC is overwhelmed. I only partially believe this..... the series of mistakes that were made on our file were definitely not Covid related. To be fair..... it's not their fault that MSC messed up badly and in the end, AFTER we had a big enough hissy fit, Mark did go to bat for us. But, I believe that a company's reputation stands and falls by the suppliers they keep... if you resell a product from another vender that is defective, your reputation is on the line and it's no different for services. If Mark can get you a loan with any other provider, you would probably have a good experience. He is quick to approve a loan but then hands it off to his administrative team, which, unfortunately for us, was less-than-experienced (we had Jennifer in the beginning and while sweet, she didn't know her butt from a hole in the ground. She later quit and we got Monica, who was infinitely better) This is the 6th mortgage I have signed for in my life and I have never dealt with a company that is less accountable, more disorganized and more unprofessional than MSC. If you get sold out to MSC.... RUN, don't walk, away. read more

One thing I can say about Craig Pribyl with Access Capital Group is that he will not give up on his clients even though we may want to give up on ourselves. I started the loan process in 2015 with Craig and due to some unforeseen issues had to put the process on hold. Craig gave me some pretty sage advice as to what things I needed to work on to get this rolling again and making sure I made the best decision when it comes to getting a home loan. Craig followed up with me to see what my progress was and finally came to the point of starting the loan process again. Craig answered every question that I had even "dumb" ones that I asked to give myself piece of mind. I provided Craig all the information needed to move forward. Craig got my Pre Approval in no time. I found a home, made an offer and Craig went into high gear with getting it the loan approved. Towards the end Linda Isek helped with the final sprint towards getting my loan closed and in a matter of a couple weeks I am a home owner, keys in hand and moving into my home!!! I just recently officially purchased my first home. When I submitted my query to lending tree I got several responses relatively quickly. I decided I would see which lender would give me the better rates and customer service so I started the process with multiple lenders to see how much they cared. Mark Christoffersen from Access Capital was by far the most responsive and interested in my home buying process, and he really seemed eager to help me out. The rates from all three were about the same and access capital's fees were slightly lower than the other two lenders I was communicating with, but seeing as how the seller was paying all the closing costs I didn't care so much about the fees. I cared more about using a lender that seemed interested in landing the sale and pleasing their customer. Mark and the team at Access Capital did a really good job of dealing with the sub-par escrow company we were forced to work with and I got timely responses from everybody involved. There was an instance of some docs not being received and a couple of delays because of the holidays but nothing that held up the process or caused troubles. We found Access through lendingtree.com. Access was one of several places to respond. Our initial email from Craig Pribyl (the Loan Officer) stated if we sent some basic information, they would get a pre-approval letter to us within 3 hrs. Well, we couldn't send it for two days - but once it was received it took over a week to get any letters. The loan officer was initially very responsive, but would not reveal the lender fees until we signed papers. Of course the electronic signature papers could not be accessed. So, I emailed Craig that I couldn't access the documents. It was a Saturday night and he responded that he would fix that on the following Monday. I haven't heard from him since even though I've emailed him again with no response. read more

We are selling a house to my daughter and they can't even get the names right. WORST BANKER YET TO DEAL WITH...Craig Pribyl outright lied over the phone and in emails to me as an agent as well as the buyer. We had an issue pop up with an appraisal come in lower than expected, and for a whole week was told nothing was of the issue and to just continue along with the process. He leaves his "assistant" to deal with the problem and notification that in fact something would need to be done or the deal could not continue. This appraisal issue happens often but to acknowledge the receipt of such an appraisal over a week prior and not directly answer or skirt the questions to drag it out just hurts everyone involved that much more.
