Sore throat for two days, then generally not feeling well. Three days earlier, I'd taken my wife here for similar symptoms, and the service was very fast and efficient. We picked up her prescriptions at the nearby Walgreens and were home about one hour after leaving. Then today, I am the one needing attention, and it was also fast and efficient. Once again, a quick visit with an aide and a doctor, and the problem was diagnosed I got my prescription at Walgreens and was home in just under an hour after leaving. During a busy period, the wait would have been longer, but on both visits to this new and clean facility this week, the service was fantastic. I came in with all 4 of my children.... less than ideal but my son was visibly not feeling well so it was necessary. Upon arrival, I was told to scan the link and fill out the info. I said, "any chance I could give you the info and you fill it out since I have all of my kids and ((holding the sick one + a baby carrier)) and not many hands?" to which the lady behind the desk said, "uh whats the DOB and patients last name", checked him in, and then said, "you'll still have to fill in the info and upload your cards". Seemingly her only job, I would think it her responsibility to get and input patient info (or it used to be as I have worked in this exact role!) BUT WAIT.... her actual only job was to be sure that as 2/4 kids were crying on the way out the door, she collected my $25 copay. I went to this urgent care because I got exposed to Monkeypox which is extremely painful. my whole neck, shoulder and face is swollen and lesions are starting. I went to get more antibiotics and pain meds. first words out of the NP's mouth- I don't give narcs. I said ok fine I'll go somewhere else then she started bitching me out for seeking medical care. I waited in my car for my appt so that I don't infect others but nope She went straight into bitching mode. IF YOU HAVE PAIN DO NOT GO THERE. They won't treat pain. read more

Drive 45 min to access medical south okc. Website and sign both say no appt needed, walkins welcome. Tried to call before coming in but after waiting 30 min on hold I just drove up there. Walked in, 1 person inn the waiting room and receptionist tells me they don't have any appts open for several days. I told her I had a fever and just needed to be tested and she repeated herself. Everyone was very professional and friendly. We got in, got treated, and we're on our way in a very acceptable length of time. While we didn't see much of their Professional Services, we were impressed because they admitted that he needed to go to the emergency room. They did not have the facilities to give him the treatment that he needed and were not afraid to tell us that. We will certainly consider going back there when medical services are needed. read more

I went in 9/27 because i was feeling dizzy and couldn't stand. The front desk receptionist made me a appt and told me to come back. I come back for my appt time she just looks at me and i said "do i need to check in?" She proceeded to tell me i need to go back to my car and wait until one of the nurses calls me. Nurse calls me told me to come on in. I get in and stand at the window she doesn't say a word doesn't tell me to have a seat the nurse will come and get me nothing just ignores that I'm even standing there staring at her. Once i got back to a room the nurse and pa were great had no problems. My problems started when i did a UA test and they were going to call me back for my results. I work a full time job at a specialist doctors office so i can't just answer my phone whenever i would like. Tried returning their call for multiple days to be put on hold up to 15 to 20 mins to only get a call center that had to transfer me and then no one answers. So during this time I'm pretty sure i have a uti. Now it's Monday 10/04 and still can't get ahold of anyone so i said forget it i guess I'll just have to make an appt to get my results. Made one. I am now having horrible middle back pain at night. I finally receive a voicemail before my appt telling me my UA is negative. It is 10/05 and i was at the er at 3 am due to my pain to find out i have a horrible uti and kidney infection....there is no way my UA was negative i don't know if urine got mixed up or results did but i will NEVER go back to this urgent care ever again. read more

We use the access urgent care in Newcastle and have always had good experiences. I love that you can book online so you don't have to wait forever. I took my son in this evening after scheduling him for 6:30, we were taken back by 6:33. The nurse that helped us was very kind and explained the strep and flu test to my child so he wasn't scared. She was one of the sweetest, most gentle nurses we have ever encountered. The PA/NP? this time was a woman and she was great and kind as well. We had a diagnosis and a prescription called in very quickly... I actually prefer to come here rather than visiting our family practitioner. read more

Made an appointment online. Got there 20 minutes before my appointment (instructions were to arrive 15 minutes early) and she told me they were running behind schedule, which wasn't a big deal. My appointment was schedule for 4:00, they called me back at 4:25. The queue online showed I was second in line but the receptionist told me I was actually third, which again was fine and I didn't question it. I tested positive for the the flu and it was too late to administer medication. I asked if they could prescribe something for my husband because we had vacation planned and she said if he came in and checked in she could write him a script for tamiflu. We waited for over an hour in our room for them to write him the prescription. I had a fever of 103, aches and chills and we sat and waited over an hour for 1 prescription. We left at 5:55 and raced to Walgreens to get the script filled which closes at 6:00 on Sunday. Very frustrating experience. read more

I took my daughter to this clinic on a Sunday after she had diarrhea for 5 days. I gave them a complete list of medications she was taking, including a generic drug she was taking for IBS. I told them she had taken the IBS medication but it had not relieved her symptoms. They prescribed her a medication to relieve her symptoms and I got it filled. She took it but it did nothing to relieve her so I looked more closely and it was the same EXACT medicine we already had a prescription for the IBS! The PA we saw called the drug by the brand name when he told me what he was prescribing and I didn't think anything of it, I will know better next time! I spent $160 for the visit (after insurance) and $20 on the prescription (for something we already had). I will NEVER use this facility again and would not recommend it to anyone unless you just want to throw your money out the window. read more

no stars!!!!! after having my 7yr old daughter to the office and with a diagnosis of "the flu", no official test, just the doctor's/pa's conclusion. i was informed i would have to drive all the way to the south side to get my daughter's meds. so we go. we arrive and after a 20 minute wait in line, come to find out her meds were never called in to the right location, come to find out they called them in to the drugstore that was already closed for the night. i asked the nurse 3 times as to where i was going to get the meds, 89th and penn. the people that in were in the doctor's office before and after us both had their scripts called in and waiting on them. in the meantime of the confusion, i'm trying to contact the clinic before they close, of course i was minutes to late. so, i contact my husband in the meantime and calls our pediatrician and explains to him the situation. beacause my husband and son had just been diagnosed with the flu, we had tami-flu and she could go ahead and start on theirs. then , he would take care of it from there. i wish that's what we had done. i was able to call the clinic in between all this and get someone on the after hours number and explained to her what the problem was, and she got a earful, sorry, but at this point , i was mad mom!!!! i had already drug my daughter to a place she didn't and never should have been. they contacted us first thing monday am because i guess the lady i spoke to after hours let them know how upset i was. and then $250.00 later, she was more than likely misdiagnosed, after taking her to my doctor the following thursday, i had her examine my daughter to make sure we were on the mend. my daughter is known for getting pnemonia, rsv, bronchitis, taking no chances at this point. her vitals were great but she has these white plaque looking things all down the back of her throat. with the symptoms her and i both had, she thinks it was a viral infection, which is going around. regardless, they were irresponsible on their part, they messed not calling in my daughters medicine. literally as we are leaving the drugstore she is crying and asking why doesn't get any medicine for her sore throat!!! you people stink and my family and i will not be returning!!! i will not speak kindly if someone asks . i'm quite disappointed because for the most part, we never had any problems.someone higher up needs to be checking on what these people are and are not doing procedure wise. or how about i deny their kids medicine and see how they would feel, it stinks. they are fortunate that i was at work when they called monday am and spoke with my husband. i would not have been as "nice". that's when i thought i would let it go and move on, but not this time, i'm tired of letting companies and businesses make mistakes and not saying something. well, this time it involved the health and well being of my child, so i'm saying something. you may read this if you wish but you don't have to. however, you might give a second thought before going in. check your procedures people, you are messing with the health of children, think about what you are doing. and did i mention i'm still out the $250.00, and i'm sure there's an office visit that will be showing up soon. so. no thanks!!! no more access medical centers for us!!! one upset mom read more
