Do not go there! Dropped my mower, only six weeks old, off last Friday was told by the lady at the counter they would let me know on Monday what the problem was. First of all they have you leave a $100 deposit plus a $3 fee which she didn't mention. Stopped by on Monday and the lady at the front desk said there were 4 mowers ahead of me and they will call me Monday evening or first thing in the morning. Did not get a phone call so I waited until 11am to call them and got a lecture from the lady that she told me it would be a week. She was rude and disrespectful, very condescending tone. I went and picked up my mower and got my deposit back less the $3 fee which she said was posted all over the store. Bottom line is I was lied to then treated like crap by this woman. Maybe it's just me but I am the customer and should expect to be treated with respect. In calling around for a repair shop I found out this lady who is an employee at Access Mowers called all the repair shops in the area to blacklist me. I don't know who owns Access Mowers but I would think they would want to treat their customers better. read more

Really have no idea what's going on with access mowers. This service department is terrible. Their counter help is rude and very forgetful. I'm sorry I've spent thousands of dollars in that store. I will never go back again they just want to sell new stuff to commercial accounts. I've been living here for 19 years full-time and have never been treated with such disrespect. read more

Took my Stihl bug sprayer in for service, couldn't get it to start. These folks fixed it quick, even fixed things I didn't ask them to fix. Price was great and it actually runs better than it did when it was new. Will definitely go back. read more

Joe at Access Mowers was an angel, I went to Home Depot twice trying to find maintenance parts for my mower that I bought there , and was told " look up the conversion numbers on my phone " so I went to Access Mowers ( Englewood East) and Joe showed me where to find the engine number and let me email it to him and then called me when the parts, filters, plugs, oil etc were ready to be picked up , not only did he make my life easier, the cost was the same !! So Far so Good.. The owner took time to explain on phone AND in person about my power washer. Will take apart and fix carborator.. They even have photos on how they exactly do it.. Not just dip in cleaners. A better process. I have been in other times for small items need for my chain saw or clippers.. Always had item. Will call me when done.. read more

I find the employees of access mowers to be knowledgeable, experienced and helpful with the customers. We all have our days, that is understandable when dealing with the public. I will definitely return again and again to access mowers without any hesitation. read more

The fact that this business doesn't show up under lawn mowers in Englewood is a good indicator of how reputable this company is. There are signs posted all over the wall behind the cash register about having bad attitudes, and even one saying there will be a charge of $10 for bad attitudes. That isn't a joke. Not only are their charges for labor excessive, if you upset the person pushing the cash register buttons she tacks on a ten dollar fee. I've never had a customer service experience like that in my life. I emailed the person on the receipt about my experience- surprise, I haven't heard back! After leaving there I went to my next appointment where I learned the receptionist had a very similar experience months before. Do yourself a favor, drive to Nokomis for your lawn needs. If they truly appreciated your business they would not employ people like this woman. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau about the extra charge that I feel is theft. But I will tell everyone I can about my experience there. read more

do not use this place. rude beyond imagination. i was told by the counter staff to be ready any time after 4:30pm, when driver arrived, it was 6:15pm. asked how i was, said not the best, been sitting around waiting almost 2 hours. proceeded to tell me he doesn't get off till 4:30, hooks up the trailer and ready to go by 5pm. told him, i don't know his schedule, perhaps he should let the counter staff know. the driver stated he did not appreciate my attitude, i told him, i don't really appreciate his attitude either, he told me to f*&% you. great customer service. while waiting for him to arrive, i sent an email to the owner (since it was the only contact info i had). i asked if he could contact me. well today, 4 days later, he did. here is what he told me. please acknowledge the fact that you were informed by our counter staff that your scheduled delivery was for friday after 5 pm. the driver had numerous deliverys and you were on the route. the driver did not need to take the verbal abuse about him or our shop / the work performed was as requested when mower was brought in to our shop / your statements were belligerent & totally un-called for. our shop has a very good reputation for doing work requested & not over-charging customers for un-necessary work. in the future - please take your business elsewhere and give someone else a hard-time. when the rider was returned, i noticed the tire was flat, he said it was not brought in for that. yes, that is correct. but when you go to the doctors office for a cold, they check your blood pressure, even though that is not why you are there. i will be thrilled to take my business elsewhere, as you should too. read more
