i used clean machine several years ago when they were located on Rt 41 in Venice, Florida. at this…read moretime i dealt w/ the owner, peter, who was knowledgeable and friendly. i recall the price for service and parts were reasonable. note the reviews posted on yelp for clean machine are from 2019, 2020, & 2021. the business has moved to Corporation Way in Venice, Florida. in february 2024 i took my 1 year old powerwasher in for service. the machine sat for several months and the carbuerator needed cleaning. peter was not in the shop so i dealt w/ a young worker who has zero people skills. i was charged over $100 for the carbuerator to be cleaned. hourly wage $85 per hour. YIKES!!! it didn't take an hour to clean the carbuerator. i would suggest shopping around. peter isn't in the office very often because of serious personal issues so you have to deal w/ this young kid. i would give clean machine future business but i won't deal w/ this kid. i will only deal direct w/ peter or another technician. peter i wish you the best and hope you are back in the shop asap.

Then proceeded to wash our 2 dogs--one of which is an Australian Shepherd, and if you know the breed, you know they have a lot of hair. We finished up about an hour after we PAID, walked out of the store, and let the dogs use the bathroom before heading home. (We were on vacation and had a 4-hour drive ahead.) Out of nowhere, LINDA came outside and yelled across the lot, "Would you like to pay for those dog washes!!" We explained that we HAD paid and that I had the receipt. I, a 27-year-old woman, walked over, calmly showed the receipt, and explained everything. LINDA then SNATCHED the receipt out of my hand and REFUSED to give MY RECEIPT BACK. She walked toward the store with it, and my fiancée took it from her and told her to never do that again. LINDA responded by calling him a "faggot"--a bystander saw and heard the entire thing. Thankfully, KEVIN, the store manager, stepped in and handled the situation like a true professional. KEVIN offered a full refund for both washes, which we declined because all we really wanted was a direct and sincere apology from LINDA. Instead, LINDA gave us a sarcastic apology--with a big smile on her face--while holding and squeezing both our hands, making it feel more belittling than sincere. I'm only writing this because the situation was completely blown out of proportion, and we left feeling disrespected and deeply disappointed. Thank you again, KEVIN, for doing what you could--but management may want to seriously reconsider who represents your business.
