What stands out most is his compassion -- he's gone above and beyond for me so many times, whether it was giving me IV fluids when I was run down or providing antibiotic and steroid shots to help me bounce back from a bad cold. He never rushes through visits, always takes the time to listen, and genuinely makes you feel cared for. I trust him completely with my health, and I'm so grateful for his continued care. If you're looking for a provider who truly puts patients first, Mr. Castaneda is the one.

I felt a bit of frustration but Delma (I think) at the front desk was so apologetic yet organized and polite! I got my call, went in...the staff are so polite, hard working and non-stop! Even after seeing 40+ patients, they still have jokes (Hannah) and stellar bedside manner. I just want to shout out to the work they are doing in a fear ridden society we are living in! They didn't miss a beat! Thanks P.A. Mass for the time spent and thought out plan for me! I appreciate you All!

UNHELPFUL. Waste of money, at least with my visit. Made the same mistake, thinking this urgent care…read morecenter would be different. I tried to go to another local clinic before this one but I was essentially stonewalled by all the red tape that places like these seem to have. I made sure to check the website before calling and still, it claimed they do labs, xrays, etc. I felt ill, loss of appetite, and some other concerning symptoms and if you're traveling (and maybe even as a resident) it can be INCREDIBLY difficult to just get seen by a doctor/primary care provider if you don't happen to have one.... And as I've come to realize, it takes SO LONG! One local clinic (Community Action) has a MONTH long wait just for new patients. And another in corpus won't see any new patients until July!!! (It is currently March). Unless I have to be half-dead going to the ER, can no one see or help me?! I've read the Alice hospital reviews too and honestly it's just... highly concerning.... I almost feel like going to the hospital might be the only way to get seen sooner, but honestly it might just end up being just like this visit here at NextCare x.x they'll probably not take me seriously, I'll have to wait a million years, or they may not have the proper resources/equipment to help me! Since I moved from TX some time ago, I have an out of state ID and that alone is reason enough for certain local clinics to not help me or apply for certain programs they offer, and it sucks! My symptoms seemed to be worsening and persisting and I've tried to call, visit, and look up so many local clinics like this one and nothing is happening! So far, I've only been able to get some labs done... (at a different local clinic in Freer). it's such a hassle if I do even get lucky enough to get a "office visit" or whatever. Sorry if this is off track. Anyway, at this place I thought maybe they could do labs (since the website mentioned it) or maybe some other tests and that a doctor there could tell me what was wrong with me at least. But nope!!! I pretty much just came in, described my symptoms to at least two different people, and when I did finally see the doctor, she did very basic tests like taking my blood pressure and temp. I don't remember what else, but I think she measured weight too. She was one of the people I told my symptoms, but after those basic tests she essentially did nothing else but tell me to go to a primary care doctor and take suggested products, like two different over the counter meds and multivitamins. If I had known it was going to be like that, I wouldn't have gone!

Access Total Care sent me for multiple MRIs -- lumbar spine, hip, and related imaging. When the…read moreresults came back showing severe spinal stenosis, nerve compression, and hip degeneration, I asked for a short‑term work excuse so I could safely attend the specialist appointments they were referring me to. Despite being the clinic that ordered the imaging, and despite having the reports in hand, the nurse practitioner refused to provide even temporary accommodation until after I saw an orthopedic surgeon. That's not how primary care works. A competent PCP should be able to review the imaging they themselves ordered, understand the severity, and provide short‑term support so a patient can safely reach the specialists they're being sent to. If you need quick urgent‑care‑level treatment, this place is probably fine. But if you're looking for a primary care provider who listens, understands complex medical issues, and actually supports patients instead of creating barriers, look elsewhere. Access Total Care is not equipped for that level of care. Furthermore, i strongly suspect them of using a reputation management service. Notice that they have less than 10 Yelp reviews, but over 500 Google reviews? That's just one of many indicators. I can't recommend trusting them with something as important as your health.
