Have been coming here for over thirty years, since I had teeth!…read more Tried another dentist when I moved areas, but they weren't a patch on these. My dentist is very knowledgeable and lovely and makes you feel at ease. The equipment they have is very state of the art. Highly recommended.

All the years growing up I was with My Kenny who was very nice and I was never nervous about going in. I got the missus and now the kids coming here and it's the same with the new chap - Mr Wolverson. He's great, he's a bit like Peter Kay, (my missus has a soft spot for him) and he makes you so relaxed. He always remembers what you're doing with your lives, what you were doing last time you saw him etc. The kids always get stickers. The reception area has been done up but still suffers from naff magazines and no TV. Having said that you don't tend to have to wait too long as they rarely run behind. If you're worried about going to the dentists you couldn't pick a better place - my grandad hadn't been for about 40 years and came here and was fine. Limited parking.

Wouldnt say its the best dentist out there as would say that there are definatley better ones that you can use rather than this one. Good service and i nice friendly local dentist but facilities arent that great. Overall pretty average.

He's very good at what he does, he runs a good practice which is pain free and very clean. If I ever have any problems they accommodate me as best as they can. My own Bhandal practice was open but had no dentist in, (What use is that) so I contacted 111 who got a dental nurse to call me back to carry out an assessment and make an emergency referral. Within 10 minutes, this practice called me back with an appointment 45 minutes later. I'd been in agony with a back molar that needed to come out. I don't know anyone who likes going to the dentist but I must say this was a pleasant experience from start to finish. Receptionist and other staff in reception area were all so lovely. The lady dentist and dental nurse were absolutely fantastic. Talked to me through the procedure and made me very at ease. I've had a lot of pain in the past when I've had the injections to numb my teeth but not today. I didn't even feel her extract the tooth. I was given expert advice following the extraction, especially on how to prevent a dry socket which I've had previously and never ever want to have that pain again. I would highly recommend this dental practice and if I could change and have these as my regular dentist I would. Thank you ladies. You were all amazing

The Hyman Practice is also very modern and clean with a spacious waiting room with lots of seats so you don't feel like you're catching anyone's bugs! As you walk in you can speak to the receptionists or use the self check in machine on the wall. I always find the reception staff kind and efficient. Reception staff often get a bad rep but they are lovely here. I visited different nurses at the practice several times last year as I had a burn that needed changing and checking. They were incredibly kind and gave excellent advice. I've only seen a doctor once and she was also very kind, efficient and helpful. Handily there is a pharmacy downstairs so you can pick up prescriptions there. There are just two issues. Firstly, it can be difficult to get an appointment with a doctor. You can sit on the phone ringing and ringing for ages. Secondly there is often a delay when waiting for your appointment. However I think these are problems across the NHS rather than with the individual practice.
I've been with this dentist - which takes NHS as well as private clients - since forever. I've had…read moreevil looking wisdom teeth removed here, sat through root canal treatment that was all sadly reminiscent of the torture scene in Marathan Man (not their fault at all by the way - they were lovely - it's just not very nice) and had my teeth scaled and polished to a nice pearly white. The staff - receptionists and dentists alike are all very nice, calm and professional and they have put up with me being consistently rubbish about turning up on time - usually thanks to the number 11 being its usual unreliable self. As well as offering standard treatments they have a hygienist and a range of cosmetic services available. When I had my wisdom teeth out the procedure was so noninvasive that I was able to go back to work after (although given how spaced out I was on local anaesthetic and the fact my then partner made me run for the bus I'm not sure this was such a brilliant idea) And another thing - not only do they sells a range of toothbrushes, floss, pokey stick things (for cleaning between the gaps - they look a bit like pipe cleaners) they have a really good range of magazines available too - no two year old copies of Take a Break here.

The staff used to be brillant however i dont think that they had the funds to continue such a shame. I know, I can't give 5 stars to a dentist because of the nature of the business but 4 stars is…read morepretty high. The reason, because this place actually helps you to prevent having treatment. They are full of advice; in fact I realised that the reason I've had fillings in recent years, when I really don't eat an awful lot of sweets (except for cinema treats) is because I'm not brushing correctly. It turns out, just brushing thoroughly for 2 whole minutes twice daily and flossing does the trick. It's the first check I remember when I had not treatment, not even a little tiny filling. Mr Rooprai, who I see always remembers conversations (a bit like a hairdresser) does and we talk about me travels during the 2 minutes I have before he starts checking my teeth. He's also full of humour and they always have the radio on which relaxes me just a bit. Highly recommended if you can get in as a NHS patient.

It's a nicely decorated and rather soothing place and the staff seem friendly. I've popped in a few times with my Mom - she needed a bit of moral support following an unfortunate incident with a boiled sweet (she had to have root canal treatment...which is as horrible as it sounds) but really, I wasn't needed as the procedure was pretty straight forward and the Dentist who treated her just the right mix of professional and soothing. There's also a good selection of reading material - Hello, Okay and other glossies that I only ever read in waiting rooms and are a bit of a guilty pleasure!
