I had a dentist once who told me off for drinking too many fizzy drinks. This felt immensely unfair as I don't even like fizzy drinks very much and rarely drink them. Anyway, it put me off dentists until I really had to go before all my teeth fell out. I went to my nearest (Rooprai), signed up as an NHS patient (they do private too) and I really liked them from the start.
My dentist is very kind and friendly, he gives very good advice but never tells me off, even when I probably deserve it. I've had several fillings done here- the expensive white ones and the NHS grey ones. Nothing has been particularly traumatic and I really can't fault the service. All fillings are present and correct and you get a tooth clean when you go (actually I hate that bit, but it does give good results... great for habitual wine and tea drinkers like myself).
Today there was a lady who was very nervous- she had the dentist fear AND needed a wisdom tooth removed so I can't blame her. She said that the dentist was giving her opportunities to calm her nerves before the work, which seemed helpful.
Anyway, always quick, efficient and friendly. Great quality work, private services available if needed. read more
