Spoke with " Juanita " and she was very rude, I explained my situation too her, about a dentist bill that I was unaware of and all she did was tell me what " her " experience was like ( which has to do nothing with me) she wanted me to pay the bill in full ( I explained I had insurance ) but clearly something went wrong " after the fact " . She was rude / poor customer service, she didn't even understand my point. Terrible business- Juanita you suck - and I'm sure your great at it, now swallow that. I'm mainly writing this to acknowledge the professionalism and friendliness of Juanita Mendoza, who was my primary contact during the repayment process. My wife had run of medical expenses some years back, and the debts had followed us into COVID, unemployment and beyond. Juanita worked with me to process a settlement, and was the perfect point of contact. It was an uncomfortable process to get going on my side, and then after we started the ball rolling, our finances fell through again and I delayed another week before calling back. But Juanita never condescended or guilted me over the debt, and I'm happy to say that it is now resolved, presumably to both parties satisfaction. I'm only dinging 4-stars because Acclaim's calls consistently came in around 8am, an hour before my day began. I understand that the call time is within their rights, and many people are awake by then, but I've worked nights most of my adult life and the calls consistently woke me up. read more

I called because I contract with the Federal Government. We had been on Furlough 35 days! I called a few weeks before my payment was due and explained that I am a Federal Government Employee with no income, she said would you like to skip this month. Yes, she replied no problem, done goodbye. Well thanks for taking the payment anyway. Between your company & the White House I am more than disappointed and hope never, ever to deal with your office again. Thanks FYI The man in February may put us on another government closure and we contractors have not even told if we will be paid furlough. read more

They are by far the best debt collector's I have come in contact with. I needed this account off my credit. It was only a couple hundred dollars so I called them and made a deal to pay it all off for a slightly smaller amount. After getting a supervisors approval I made the payment. I needed this removed from my credit account ASAP so they said to pay through money gram and they would have it cleared from my name by the end of the day. The end of the day came and it was still showing up on my credit report. So I called them the next morning and they were so nice about it which I was surprised about because they already received my money lol. They could have easily blew me off. But they investigated my issues and actually called me back. They explained everything to me thoroughly and told me what else I needed to do on my part. But most importantly they treated me with respect. I did not give them 5 starts because when I called transunion they said they were still waiting on a response from acclaim to officially remove the debt from my name. (2 days since payment) i will give 5 stars once account is officially removed. read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. I took my son to emergency room (the hospital failed to bill medi cal) I got a call from them after I didn't have medi cal anymore. I told them I was working part time 8hours a week! I told her what my check normally came out too she had the nerve to tell me she wanted all my check I told her I couldn't do that I have a baby I told her I can do $20 a month until I got a stable job she said that isn't good enough!! Even tho I was trying to make something... Wow!! When asked to speak to a supervisor I was denied.. They keep blowing me up EVERY day 3 times a day.. I don't answer. They can send me a letter with a settlement! Im not going to pay anything dealing with people like that. Clearly it's bad to be in collections but they need to understand that life can be hard and to be turned down on payments you can make!!!! Just read your comment. I can happily print out phone records. I'm sure that's your company values but not all employees are following them. Yes they attacked me. Yes I get multiple calls a day. This company is absolutely useless. I asked them to collect a debt on my behalf in January 2009. Called them in September 2012 just to find out that they were unable to contact the debtor. They didn't even bother to notify me about it. When asked what further steps they were planning to take, they answered, "None". I closed the account right away. Next day, I drove to the debtor's office, talked to him and settled the dispute. What they couldn't do in three years took me exactly fifteen minutes. Don't waste your time. read more

This is a review for Juanita Hernandez, who is seriously a Saint. Long story short, I've spent a lifetime building my credit score up to the 800s only to have a disputed $186 medical bill go to collections. I was in the process of buying a house when I was alerted that my credit score tanked 100 points, which is the difference between being able to afford a mortgage and not. OH MY GOODNESS. This could be a scam. They called me with a claim from a company I did business with. They had no correct information. They had no proof and could not tell me much. What a joke. I have other people I pay from the same card account and no one else has had a problem getting funds from this account. They are indeed useless. read more

Back in April, I went to the urgent care with my child. They said I had an outstanding fee. They asked if I lived in Utah(never been there). The urgent care gave me the number to call and pay the fee. I did it right then and there. I spoke to Acclaim credit they had the same information (in correct address). I paid the fee. In July, I go to refinance my house and find this on my credit and ask them to remove it and they said they could not do that. Horrible customer service! Now I will lose my house because of them. I lost my job and got a new one with half the pay, now I will lose my house all because of one item I had no idea about. This is so wrong! read more

We have been using Acclaim Credit Technologies for years and are very satisfied, always professional and work hard to collect.

I offered to settle a five year-old debt of $90 my ex-wife stuck me with (which had even stopped being reported). When I called they were rude and demanded $140.00 and treated me like a jerk. I called my dentist and was told it was "pulled back" and they allowed me to pay it off in the office for the original amount of $63.00. Then I got a letter from the collection agency informing me it was paid in full. When I called and said why did they send it when my bank statement clearly shows I did an electronic debit to the dental office they said it was never pulled back from collections and the dentist "just let you pay it there" which I have never heard of before in my life. They are lying cheating dishonest and I am in the process of a CFPB complain and hiring an attorney for vindictive credit reporting. I have paid off several old debts and they are the only company who refused to give me a removal letter and they are the only negative mark on my credit report. If I had just ignored it it wouldn't show recent activity, and wouldn't be a problem. So for $68.00 on a ten year-old debt that was in actuality incurred by my ex-wife, I now have this blemish on my credit report for the next 7 years. Even people who have hired them to collect debts have stated they're awful. Do not hire these people to lick your boots. read more
