At the beginning of January, I received a call from a receptionist at H & R Block reminding me that…read moreit is tax season. I was informed of different ways that I could file: in person appointment, online with a tax preparer or online, independently, using their software. I chose to work with a tax preparer online. I made an appointment to receive a call from the preparer in order to get the ball rolling. Anthony Ambrose (same preparer from previous year) called at the appointed time. He confirmed that I would like to file online with him. He explained that all I needed to do was upload pictures of my paper work to him so that he could get started. During the tax prep process, I was able to log into my account from HR Block web site and check on my messages from Tony. I was also able to send messages and questions to him on this account. My husband and I had numerous questions and Tony patiently answered our questions. If he needed to research the answers, he got back with us quickly via phone calls. I would definitely recommend Tony at H & R Block (Broadway, Lancaster NY) because he genuinely seemed to care about providing good service. He was very thorough and he completed our taxes in a timely manner.

Nicole, and the legal clerk Sheila, took over 10 months to close on a vacant lot. It was absurd that it took so long to close on a cash deal between family members and they could not even give a good explanation why. They gave excuse after excuse and still charged me $500 for legal fees! They should have waived all fees since they took nearly a year to close the simplest of deals. Please avoid going to this firm. Sheila will lie to you about timelines and Nicole will not help get the answers needed to finish the transaction. I cannot urge you strongly enough to stay away from the incompetence that surrounds this law firm.

I have now called your office approximately 8 times regarding this situation.  My last call about 3 weeks ago your assistant stated " I do see something here, and I am waiting for Nicole's signature, it is on her desk" 9 months ago when I called, I was told by Sheila " these things take around 8 months to complete" therefore I waited the 8 months to call, and we are still waiting for a resolution to this matter.  Secondly, when the sale of our house ( Tremont st) went through, we never received any paperwork, or emails stating money made out, and to whom.  Therefore we have absolutely nothing for preparing taxes this year. A paper copy would be sufficient, however a Pdf file would be alright as well.  Lastly we are concerned if we were ever represented properly? Closing took an absurd amount of time, and Everytime we called for an update we were rudely rushed with inaccurate information.  I have requested to speak with you, and have left several messages with a return number for a return call back without any success. We have been rushed through every concern and are so disappointed, we don't know how to proceed at this point.  Could you please take a moment and return our phone call, so we can attempt to resolve these matters?  I am not sure if your assistant has been notifying you with our urgent request to speak with you on multiple occasions.  I want to thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter.
