The centre is indoors and has always seemed clean and tidy but the choice of stores could be better theres a dorothy perkins new look and other chain stores but also a few scruffy looking independant clothes stores. Theres a good size marks and spencer with the usual range of clothing home wares and food. Theres a few really cheap stores within the centrw the most marked being ethal austin which really is dire untidy with very low quality stock I do visit this centre whenever I visit family but cannot say that I would make an effort to visit her on purpose.

The store is very easy to find, it is based where the Accrington college used to be situated. The car park is under the actual store, so is very large, although I always find that under-store parking seems to be dark, maybe a few more lamps wouldn't go amiss. There are two cash-points at the main entrance and I quite like the box with two foot-prints painted on the outside of them, to show people to stand back when waiting, I personally loathe people standing to near me when I use an ATM. Just inside the entrance on the right is a play area for the kids, you will notice when entering the store that there is enough light, as the window-walls are next to the 'Travelator' that you go up to the shopping level. Of course, the store is an 'Extra', so it offers grocery, electronics, clothing, pharmacy and has a stylish cafe just as you get to the shopping floor. The aisles are very wide, so it's great to get round, this in fact is the reason I shop here, also down to the fact that the Tesco is new, so it's fairly quiet at most times, I think this is down to the locals being loyal to Asda, but I would recommend they try Tesco out at least once or twice, it's a lot bigger than Asda and I find that there is more on offer at Tesco.

They seem to sell mid-price brands, so probably closer to Beaverbrooks/F. Hinds than Goldsmiths/ Ernest Jones. The service, however, is much better than anything you will find in the national chains. I bought two Seiko watches and got a good deal on them (wouldn't have bought two otherwise!). The staff didn't try to rush me whilst I was choosing and took a lot of trouble over adjusting the bracelets to get them just right. If only all jewellers were this good! I am delighted with my purchases and, although I don't live locally, will definitely be visiting this shop again.

This is the perfect Home Bargains store in the area as its on a shopping estate with free parking…read moreoutside the door.So no need to lug heavy bags of shopping for miles to load it into the car.The store is larger than the average Home Bargains store and so stocks some lines that the smaller stores dont.Its also more spacious so no being rammed into the shelves by demon grannies with trolleys.The only downside of shopping here is the staff because crikey they are miserable and grumpy.Maybe they have good reason to be grumpy but if they cheered up a bit it would be a better place to shop
