Once the seller accepted our offer, we were in a pinch to find a home inspector. We called all the inspectors that our realtor recommended, but none were able to do our inspection within our closing timeline. So... John was able to make it out to the house within a few days and did a phenomenal job. He spent at least 4 hours going through every part of the house--inside and outside. He took pictures of everything and provided thorough documentation in a very short turnaround. My wife and I have purchased a few houses in the past, and John was by far the best home inspector that we have had. In addition to his thoroughness, he is also quite personable. He inspected our house for "monsters" too.... There are dozens of things in every house that can be called out as a potential issue. John will note an item in a report and if it's a problem, he tells you it's an issue that should be addressed, but if it is an item that should be noted but considered a maintenance item...he tells you that too. Far too many times I've seen inspectors consider every item an urgent issue when it just isn't the case. This was my wife and I's first home-buying experience. John was highly recommended to us and we found that he was well-rated online. He did not disappoint. He was very thorough, evaluating the roofing before we had arrived for the day. He used heat sensing technology to look for gas leaks electrical wire malfunction as well as insulation deficits in the attic. He was able identify several significant factors that needed repaired before closing day. John has a history in working as an electrician and this is very useful for homebuyers. This was our second home inspection while buying a home and the experience we had using Accurate was much different than the one we had with another inspector. Our first home inspector just gave us a checklist that showed if something was acceptable or not. He said he didn't get on roofs or into crawlspaces. The Accurate inspection was about $50 more than our previous inspection but it was so beyond what we expected. The inspector got on the roof, in the crawlspace and, the attic. He gave us an 87 page inspection report full of photos and we also got a home energy score. I'm pretty handy but John pointed out several things I wouldn't have thought to check. When we need a third inspection we will definitely be using Accurate again. read more

He identified a mold problem in our home that we were able to get fixed by the seller and his infrared detector found an area of our garage that wasn't insulated properly.
