They said it was nothing to worry about. So now I found out that the transmission is a CTV and they fail completely. They knew that and sent me away. So now my car is failing me. I had hopes of driving it for many more years and trusted the Toyota reputation. I don't trust Lake Country now because they failed to do what was right. My husband passed away and now on a reduced income I am faced with needing to replace my car. Very disappointed in Lake Country and Toyota.

The sales manager was also quite helpful and made it a point to be sure my trip from Wisconsin wasn't wasted. I like their no bullshit, matter of fact style of doing business. Our meeting was relaxed and comfortable. The friendly conversation wasn't forced. It's nice to buy a car from other "Drivers" and car lovers - they get it. We could have chatted for hours. Car buying is supposed to be fun. Well, I found that Lake Country Toyota still believes that and does everything they can to carry that tradition forward. By the way guys, my wife was stunned when I picked her up from work in her new pickup. I think she loves it more than she loves me! I'm glad you were a part of it and helped make it happen.

Answer no. What would you rate overall condition of suv. They said 9.5 out of 10. So told them would be driving. 500 miles one way because this was the one I was looking for. They pushed their financing and I said no repedily. I drove the 500 miles. Walked in saw suv. It had 9 big dents in body!! One as big as a child's fist above front door. Chips all over. Rust on the lower panels. This suv looked like it had 100,000 hard miles. Not 60,000. They lied about condition. Let me drive 1000 miles round trip for nothing. My trade in looked new compared to this suv. Wish I had read reviews before I drove there. Was excited to find one with miles and color I was looking for. What a disappointment. I spent many years working at dealerships and they would have never had done this. Someone would have got a nice chewing over treating a potential customer this way. I'd advise you to look elsewhere. If they misrepresent this what else did I not see.

The front passenger carpet when I run the air conditioner gets wet. It hasn't rained in a couple weeks. I know it's not leaking condensation from anywhere except the air compressor system. I stopped in at Mills Ford today. Talked to Eric in service I Let him know that I bought the Ford part in his parts department to fix the issue which I showed him I had in my hand, it's the firewall part as Ford built these with a defective part that allows leaks back in under the carpet. Eric was insistent that it's just an aesthetic part and he's never heard of it before. I asked him to look up the part number for a service bulletin. He refused, said he never heard of it, and he has no way to quoted it he's not interested. I asked him if my extended warranty would cover and he said no it's aesthetic parts. I explained to him that my carpet was wet it's gonna start molding and smelling and there is a possible service bulletin out on it and I have the repair part in my hand. How much is it gonna cost to repair it? Eric again replied to me he's never heard of it, and he's not gonna quote it because he has no idea what I'm talking about. I asked him again to look up the part number look for service bulletin. He refused. I came home looked up the part number on the computer, there is a service bulletin. It takes 1.4 hours to repair it and it is an ongoing issue with F150s 2018 through 2020. I will not buy another vehicle if I'm treated the way I was treated from the service department, it still puzzled me that they would have a part number that repairs the issue yet Mills, Ford Baxter Brainerd continues to say they've never heard of it and it was an aesthetic issue. The trucks is made out of aluminum, it won't rust and just vacuum the carpet dry! That was his solution. Here is the service bulletin if you have this issue. Apparently my car has a laundry list of issues wrong with it so they can't fix some (which is understandable) and would need to go to Hyundai. They estimated it could cost $2k-$3k to fix over there. When I went in and paid, my oil change was $70 - they auto upgraded me to synthetic without asking. On top of that - with a laundry list of issues I wouldve declined the oil change if I were to get a new car Picking my car up: When I went in to get my car I waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged by the male and female in the back. They were 5 feet from me and had customers but a simple "hey I'll be with you in a moment" would do. When I was finally helped and walking to go pay for my car the female made jokes about it being on its last leg with the amount of issues going on with the SUV. In my car: Was a flyer about 1. How awesome my car is and the used market is needing it so they'd give me a good offer (it was $200 on a $5500 car) 2. That they hoped they "wowed" me with the server. They did not Looking at new cars/lease: They rip you off on the loans. For a lease you pay off the $42000 MSRP. Or the $39000 sale price for buying. The % per year is higher. They wanted $800 a month to lease. Buying the car at $39,000 for 5 or 6 years the total you pay with interest is $54,000-$57,000. A damn near 50% mark up. On top of that my car is worth used $5,500 and it's worth repairing it for $2,000-$3,000 because of it lasts more than 4 months it's cheaper than the ABSURD monthly payments they want. That doesn't even count what it goes up based on your credit. Will not be going back and want my $70 over charged oil change refunded.

Engine light came on and off also TPMS (which they did fix) the first week I had it and now back in after 2 and half months engine light is on again supposedly they figured out what it was BUT it will cost over $400 out of my pocket (even though have warranty they offered) just to get where the problem is and to see where it's leaking then plus the parts to fix but don't worry they make it sound like they are easing your mind having this warranty. Do not take their warranty they offer and make sure you get everything wrote down. I feel like I got taken advantage of, they do have great salesmen they make you believe they are way better than mom and pop shop and they are far from it. Service manager is NOT easy to deal with. Does not reply to voicemails, my car sat there for a week I ended up stopping there and talking to connor the salesman who sold me the car to help get an answer. If you buy from them make sure it's brand new (factory warranty) or lease you might be ok BUT I guarantee I will never buy from them or recommend them. Which they just lost out on possible two more car sales considering parents are looking and soon to be 16yr old. Just don't want anybody else to deal with this headache. Lesson learned the hard way.

When I picked up the car, they ran the diagnostics for the check engine light. The codes were listed on my invoice but nothing was really checked. They just cleared the codes. Then the service manager tells me he took the car for a 5 mile ride to make sure it was okay but when he was driving the VSA light and the triangle light came on. Didn't say anything about checking out why this happened. Told me to drive it awhile and maybe they will go off. What service place sends you home with warning lights still showing on the vehicle? I don't really think this place knows how to repair cars. I told them I would more than likely be calling on Monday to make yet another appointment and the service manager said, "no problem, we won't charge you for another diagnostic check". I would hope not. They should have fixed everything before I left. I was so taken aback I didn't know what to do. Yes, I should have demanded they repair the car then and there. However, it was Friday at 5:00 and I believe their mechanics had already left for the day. They have had more service managers in the short time we have been taking in our car. I'm in the market for a new car and love Honda but knowing how this place operates makes me realize this is not the place to purchase a new car. If their sales force is like their service people, how could you justify buying a car from them? Honda called to check on our satisfaction of service and my husband told them what happened. They said they would call on Monday. So far no phone call. We will be calling them today. Anyone know of a good mechanic that is reliable and works on Hondas?

I've also had exceptional service at the Mills GM location and the Mills Body Works in both Customer Care and the physical work done on my vehicles. Everyone I have worked with at all of these locations have been very pleasant, knowledgeable, and kept me updated with progress reports while working on my vehicles and gotten them done in a timely manner. It is a rare gem to find a business that not only treats you well at one location, but throughout their whole corporation. I highly recommend any of the MILLS AUTOMOTIVE GROUP locations. Everyone I've have met is very pleasant kind and happy to be around. They are very knowledgeable and honest. Another bonus is how immaculately clean and comfortable the waiting areas are. Air dam continued to go off, so made an appt. to have air dam fixed and new tires installed. They installed the tires, but not the air dam. Said they had to diagnosis the air dam. We told them it had been diagnosis, twice. They ordered parts and set another appt. to have it fixed (under warranty). Took it in and they claim that they could not replace the air dam parts, they would just update the software. They updated the software and then charged us, because warranty does not cover software problems. The service man was condescending and rude. So, we paid, using our Ford Charge Card and they CHARGED US 3% TO USE THE CARD. I recommend to all customers. Do not use businesses that are charging to use your credit card. The fee they pay is the price to do business and they want you to pay for using your card. Northern Minnesota is the only place that I have been in the last 2 years (out of 9 states) that is doing this. Our previous Ford dealer would never have treated us like this.
