I cut out the wet, mildewy piece of drywall and then decided to call American Plaster and Drywall to fix the ceiling after reading some great reviews for them on Angie's List. Jeff Wilson, the owner came over to check out the problem area and his quote was very reasonable. I scheduled an appointment to have the repair done two weeks later. His guys came to replace the drywall and retexture and paint it to match the rest of the ceiling. They did such an amazing job that I literally can't tell where the repair was done. I happily referred them to my parents to have a similar drywall repair done in their bathroom ceiling and they were very happy with the results as well! He took out a wall, repaired plaster cracks and joints and skim coated all of the walls on the first floor. The walls came out perfect. Poor time management, was always hours later than expected and rarely worked for more than a couple hours in a day. Clearly did not know what he was doing and that should have been communicated from the beginning instead of attempting to do it regardless and wasting thousands of dollars.
