It was really nice of Ace to give quarts of the Kingston paint . We shop there all the time and they are very helpful and this is not the stores fault.
I just want to let others know that my sons dog had to be put down after being in the room where my son was painting with the Kingston paint. The dog was 2 years old and in excellent health. That night the dog had a few seizures. My son took him to the vet and the dog was put on phenobarbital and as time went on, the meds were increased & going in for blood work as he kept having more seizures. This went on for several months of vets visits and tests, more meds, when it finally progressed to 30 seizures in one day for 2 days at which point no one got any sleep and they took the dog in and 5 vets looked at him and said there was nothing else that could be done and that the paint fumes may have very well triggered the seizures. Their little son was heartbroken, so they bought another dog a few weeks later. The dog had nothing else new in his food or otherwise. So, I did call corporate and now they want verification from the vet and the old paint cans! Who saves the old cans???? My son said he does not want to go back to the 5 vets and then pay more once again for a statement, from them. He has spent a fortune on the visits, meds, tests and a new dog.
I just want others to be aware that this paint may have something in it that is not safe for pets.
