Note that this business (in Boise) is registered by MTM (Medicaid transport) as "Transport 43 LLC DBA ACE Medical Transport." So far I'd recommend, though them being actually based in NV seemed to make communication among staff/drivers delayed. (Ie I didn't get ANY confirm that a ride was actually coming until the day of...the hr of the ride... that I had scheduled 3 business days prior (& MTM appeared to send quickly to ACE, so that wasn't the delay... ) That said, both the drivers I had were SO nice. I was ahead of an Ace Medical Transportation van in Blackfoot, Idaho, today and the driver tailgated me through an intersection and across the railroad tracks. I was driving 20 MPH as I entered a school zone at 4:00pm on a Monday and the van with a Vegas style sign on the door swerved around me at a quick clip and sped around another car driving 20 in the school zone. If this is how drivers for a transportation company drives, I don't want to gamble with their terrible driving. read more

Contrary to larger umbrella company advertisements they do NOT have non-emergent BLS ambulances with trained staff for stretcher/bed bound patients, nor handicap/disabled accessible vans or mini-buses with wheelchair lifts, etc. To call this medical transport in our area is a joke. They are nothing more than a taxi service that takes insurance and no tips so cheaper than regular public taxi service. The branch here is just regular must climb up to get inside vans or taxi cabs! The drivers will put your wheelchair or walkers in the back of a van or into a car trunk like luggage ... once you've gotten your own self into the vehicle ... and will get them out and put them next to the vehicle upon reaching destination leaving you to get out on your own. They won't even get out to do that if it is snowing and icy or otherwise bad weather so YOU will have to get somebody else to retrieve your wheelchair or you will just have to manage it yourself -- even if in ice and snow! Good luck if you are weak, unsteady, handicap, disabled, mobility impaired, recently discharged from hospital, in pain, just had surgery, etc. and are using them for returning home or going to a follow appointment soon after discharge, because then the driver won't even get out at all! At best they'll call upon arrival to hospital to announce that parked outside and leave it to the staff there (or to you) while they remain behind the wheel. If appointment is not located at a hospital then you had better call and check with doctor office, the lab for testing/imaging, etc. ahead of time just to make sure they will actually have and will be able to send out some of their staff to take care of you and to see you safely in and out of the vehicle and into the building and back again! And you will need a caregiver/helper any place else. They won't even help you to the front door of your own home. read more

I received a text the day before my Medicaid non emergency trip was scheduled stating I would be picked up at 12:40. I called Ace the next day, the day of my appointment, and spoke to a woman (I don't remember her name) and told her I didn't need t o be picked up until 1 pm. she said ok we will have someone there at 1. No one showed up. I called and texted Ace, and no one answered. I called Medicaid and was told my trip was canceled. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

I was assigned this provider from Medicaid for the MTM transportation request. The driver could barely stay on the road. She ran over curbs, almost hit someone's car at an internsection, she almost hit someone when she turned out of a gas station after taking a short cut through the gas station and finally when we got to the clinic, she ran over another curb and almost hit someone at the door. Seriously, DO NOT take these people. They are dangerous. Not only are they dangerous, but they are stupid. They sent a minivan without any step stool or any aid to get into it to pick up someone who's legs are weak and unable to climb easily. I will never take them again. EVER... read more
