He loves coming in, we've had him board as well, he gets his grooming done by Gilbert nothing but great things. They have lovely events, seasonal pictures & just so involved with all fur babies! Thank you Sophia, management & everyone else!

I had my Sheltie in for grooming yesterday, and prior to the appointment, I spoke with the groomer…read moreby phone to clearly explain what I wanted -- a trim and to have her undercoat brushed out. When I arrived to pick her up, I was absolutely shocked to find that she had been completely shaved. This is not only negligent but demonstrates a serious lack of understanding of proper grooming for this breed. Shaving a Sheltie is harmful and can cause permanent coat damage, skin irritation, and increased risk of sunburn and heat stress. My dog is a beautiful, lively Sable Sheltie, and now she looks and feels nothing like herself. I am extremely upset and disappointed with the service I received. For reference, it is never appropriate to shave a Shetland Sheepdog. Their double coat serves to regulate temperature, protect from sun and moisture, and insulate against both heat and cold. Shaving removes this essential protection and can cause irreversible harm. I provided explicit instructions for a trim and brush-out only, so I am at a loss as to how this happened. I will be posting a detailed review with before and after photos. I have had her at this groomer before and it was done properly. I don't know if I can trust to bring her back again. If I could give negative stars I would.

New visit, new review for Davies. I think it's important to not only catch the bad experiences but…read morealso catch the good reviews as well. Showed up Saturday morning with no scheduled appointment. Had a horrible night with my girl with her panting and breathing uncontrollably the whole night. No sleep for either of us. Davies was able to accommodate us and see my little girl. I do wish collecting an emergency pay could wait til the end but I'm sure they have dealt with a lot of no pays so I get it.. the doc looked her over, prescribed a small pharmacy of medicines but she is so much better now. Kudos Davies. Thanks for taking care of my gremlin again.

We were clients here because the weekend hours were convenient, but after multiple experiences, we…read morecan no longer recommend this clinic. More than once, we received diagnoses or treatment plans that were later contradicted when we sought second opinions or specialty care. One experience involved our dog, who had already been diagnosed with an autoimmune condition. She had follow-up bloodwork done at Davies and was prescribed antibiotics. After she continued to decline and consulting an emergency veterinarian, we were told antibiotics were not an appropriate treatment for her condition at all. Then experience that ultimately made us leave was when our dog swallowed a foreign object. X-rays were taken, and we were told there was no obstruction. When she continued to decline, we took her to a specialty emergency hospital, where she needed a $10,000 emergency surgery to remove an intestinal foreign body. The specialist explained that this type of foreign body doesn't typically show up on X-rays and that an ultrasound would have been the more appropriate diagnostic test. An ultrasound was never discussed or even offered to us. Tragically, our dog did not survive. I understand veterinary medicine isn't perfect, and not every case is straightforward. However, after multiple situations where specialists gave us very different diagnoses or treatment recommendations, we lost confidence in the care we were receiving. The weekend availability kept us coming back out of pure necessity but after our experiences, I would rather drive to Roseville and pay emergency specialty prices than risk receiving another incorrect diagnosis or treatment recommendation.

Roughly 3 months ago, I told one of the girls at the front counter, that she looked like a certain…read moreactress and I showed her a picture of the actress. She said yes, she can see the resemblance and that was the end of it. The next month, I picked up insulin for my dog without any issues and again the month after that, I picked up insulin for my dog, yet again without any issues. Then a few days ago, I called in his prescription and they said, that they would fill it. It was his last refill, before needing blood work done again. Then just 2 days ago, I received a voicemail, while I was asleep, saying that I am no longer a serviceable client, due to an incident in their office. If they are referring to the conversation that took place 3 months ago, it wasn't an incident, it was a conversation and if that's what they are referring to, why is it now an incident, 3 months after the fact? Regardless of their reasons, if they don't want me as a client, that's fine, but don't let my dog suffer without insulin, over a 3 month old complaint. They are the only Vet, that had my dog's records and therefore, it would cost me hundreds of dollars, just to have him seen at another Vet and to have a Blood Glucose Curve done. No new Vet, will just give you insulin for your dog, without an initial screening and without a Blood Glucose Curve. I work long hours and 6 days a week right now, so scrambling to find a Vet, that would see my dog in the next day or two, was gonna be a challenge and that's not even considering the monetary aspect of it. I had to come up with a few hundred dollars and find a Vet that would see him immediately, just to get his insulin, which he hasn't had in 2 days. I still had 1 refill for my dog, so I suggested that I pay over the phone and send a friend in, to pick it up, but they refused to release, his last refill. Diabetic dogs shouldn't go more than 2-3 days without insulin, as it could cause life threatening issues. So whatever the issue was, which wasn't bad at all, they blew it out of proportion and they were willing to let my dog die, all because they took the word of one of their staff members and didn't even hear my side of it. Professionally, they should have let me know, what the complaint was and allowed me to share my side of it. I am only guessing, that it was the conversation that took place 3 months ago. I was able to round up enough money and I found a Vet that would see him today, so I took him to the new Vet and paid for the initial visit and a bottle of insulin for my dog. They scheduled an appointment 2 weeks out, to do a Blood Glucose Curve for him, but they gave me a bottle of insulin anyways, to save my dog's life. Whatever the incident was, I can assure you, it wasn't inappropriate, or sexual in nature. Even if she felt uncomfortable about it, why complain about it 3 months later? Why choose to not treat my dog, over something that I may, or may not have said, without hearing my side of it? I still don't even know what's it's about. Either way, they were gonna let my dog die, because if I wasn't able to come up with the money, or find a Vet that would see him immediately, he would have continued to go without his insulin. Not wanting me as a client is fine. Letting my dog suffer, or die, is not fine. I was even willing to pay for the insulin, over the phone and have a friend pick it up, but even that was denied. Luckily, I found another Vet, that was able to see him and they gave me a bottle of insulin to take home and scheduled the Blood Glucose Curve, for 2 weeks out. They saved my dog's life. I won't mention the Vet that saved my dog's life, not in this negative post, as I don't want anyone to be confused on who the negative post is about. I will write about, the positive experience that I had with the rescuing Vet, in a separate review. I don't usually write reviews, but this was about my dog and his life wasn't valued enough, to even get his last refill. I get defending your staff, but I did nothing wrong and still don't even know for sure, what the complaint was about. Even so, my dog could have died, because of the complaint, that if I am right, wasn't even an incident.
