And even though my family of four just did a 20-minute session with her -- and we are not usually a group who enjoys being photographed -- Carrie created such an easy-going and fun environment that everyone had a great time. On top of that, she got back our photos within a week, which was WAY quicker than I was expecting! We scheduled a 3:00pm appointment with her for my 9 year old niece's birthday. We arrived to the studio around 2:55pm. When we entered into the studio, Tanya (I assume that's who she was because she never formerly introduced herself) told us to come in and have a seat. At the time, she had another customer she was working with so we sat and waited in the waiting area for her to finish. As the time passed by, she did not address her tardiness, nor did she apologize for running behind. We had to sit there and wait on her other customer to take her pictures, do several outfit changes and whatever else needed to be done during OUR TIME. After about 30 minutes of waiting for her, we quietly gathered our belongings and left, feeling like our appointment and time in general just didn't matter to her. As we got in the car and were ready to pull out of the driveway, Tanya comes running outside asking if she was making us late and that she apologized for the time. She told us from her own mouth "I didn't know what time it was." We were told THEN that she would only be a few more minutes with her other customer and that after that she would be able to give my niece all the time she needed. Right before she said this, her other customer went back to the bathroom for another outfit change so we knew "a few minutes" was a stretch. We wanted the perfect photo shoot for my niece's special day, unfortunately that was ruined. This was completely unacceptable and we will definitely not be supporting, or referring anyone else to this business.

Her energy makes anyone feel seen and known. I have the most magical photos from our shoot that are anything but pastel/basic. That's just not my jam. At the last moment. Perfect....what do we need....minister....check.....car and driver....check....photographer....let me defer to the soon to be wife on that one! So, wife to be does her research and gets good ground level intel and gives Amy at And How! a call. She saw her work and heard great things about her. Wednesday is the wedding day...and she was calling on MONDAY. (I wasn't lying when I said it was at the last moment). Even though Amy had a shoot booked for that day, she so kindly rearranged things a little and, BAM, we got ourselves a photographer. Wife to be had several ideas of locations, shots, and even examples of what she wanted. Amy loved all of that and there was a lot of back and forth between the two to come up with some great locations. On the big day, Amy was right on time and ready to go. We had a blast with her as we drove to a bunch of different locations throughout Nashville. She had some great ideas, and between her and my wife, we really ended up with a ton of amazing pictures. Honestly, after seeing what my wife wanted to duplicate and seeing what Amy actually shot, I thought that Amy's work was better time and time again.
