I don't have enough kind words in my vocabulary to describe Sur La Lune... Carrie and Ganer are just absolutely wonderful people in every sense of the word! Looking through our wedding photos for the first time transported me back to those moments on that day even though it was weeks later in my living room. Carrie's artistry is perfection! She's so detailed oriented and every photo is absolutely incredible! The angles, the lighting, the posing, the backdrops, the candids, BAM, nailed it! I literally just shared our entire wedding album with my family and friends because everyone deserves to be touched by the joy Carrie and Ganer captured on our big day! Every photo is so authentic, and we couldn't be more thankful! Our wedding was held on my family's farm in Edmonton, KY. My family and I created our little wedding venue from scratch and Carrie and Ganer were able to capture EVERY DETAIL! When you spend so much time putting together your day, it's so important to have thoughtful, meaningful, BEAUTIFUL documentation of all the details and little moments most might miss. Along with this, my husband and I are really free-spirited, easy going, and family oriented, so it was extremely important that our wedding photos captured the essence of "us" on our big day. Carrie did the prep work necessary to make sure they were able to capture all the important parts of our day, big and small, and it means the world to us that we get to look back on them whenever we want! She took the time to get to know us as a couple and truly understand our vision for the day. I can't wait for more of our next big life events to happen for a lot of reasons, but also to have an excuse to work with Sur La Lune again! I'd been following Sur La Lune Photography for a while now, so when I needed a family photo session, I knew just who to reach out to. Carrie was quick and accommodating! And even though my family of four just did a 20-minute session with her -- and we are not usually a group who enjoys being photographed -- Carrie created such an easy-going and fun environment that everyone had a great time. On top of that, she got back our photos within a week, which was WAY quicker than I was expecting! Not just in timeliness but in correspondence and the photo shoot itself, it's clear Carrie cares about her clients and making comfort a big priority -- and the brilliant photography she produces was simply the cherry-on-top to our experience. She made scheduling easy, helped me with any questions or insecurities I had and made my husband, fur baby and me feel at ease with our session. If I could give them 10/5 stars I would. Carrie is beyond talented. Her pictures are GORGEOUS, she is extremely patient, her eye for light is incredible. She photographed a good friends wedding, and so I commissioned her to shoot some family shots with my husband and puppy. My dog acted like a crazy animal during our session. Somehow Carrie managed to capture the most beautiful pictures of our dog - they are truly some of my favorite pictures I have. Also, her turn around was super fast! We had our session in early November, and I told her that we needed them for a Christmas cards. She was able to get us (many many shots) back VERY quickly!! Did I mention her pricing is super competitive?!? I will be using Carrie for all of my pictures going forward. And for those looking at her for a wedding: my spouse was in our friends wedding she shot and said she was nothing but professional and said we wished we Knew about her when we got married. Absolutely FANTASTIC. I hired Carrie to take some head shots and other "author photos" for use on my website and books, etc. The main thing I wanted was to look like myself, which I rarely do in pictures people take of me. I am more than happy with the results: Way, WAAAY more than enough awesome pictures to choose from, delivered in a private, online gallery that I can access anytime I want to. Carrie was completely focused on getting natural, relaxed shots, which is exactly what I asked for. She spent lots of time with me and I never felt like she was in a rush to finish up. I really hope to see Carrie branch out to doing more candids, family photos and even promotional pictures for musicians and artists, because she would do a brilliant job with all of them. Who you choose to entrust with documenting one of the biggest days of your life is no easy decision. So much time was spent scrolling through different websites and Instagram accounts. When we came across Sur La Lune, we immediately knew they were the right team for us. From the beginning, Carrie was warm, welcoming, and shared a genuine excitement for our big day (even though it was over 1 1/2 years away). It was so easy to connect with her, and we left that first meeting already looking forward to seeing photos that hadn't even been taken yet! We were blown away by both our engagement and wedding pictures. Carrie puts her heart and soul into every shot, and she genuinely cares about capturing the essence of who you are as a couple.
