I have an old farm house that is always in need of updating. One of the last big items on the list was rebuilding the back porch after old delapadated one was torn out. I contacted several local guys who either were not interested in this small-ish job or were apparently not eager to earn new business. But when I contacted Band Of Brothers, they scheduled a free estimate right away. When one of the owners (Stephen) came out with their estimator (Tim) I was very confident that these were the guys for me! As a single female trying to keep an old farm and farmhouse up, I have to be wary. I immediately felt at ease with Stephen and Tim and decided on the spot to hire them to rebuild the porch. As I stated, it's an old (1949) farm house and things are not always square, plumb or level! Once the work began, Stephen and his crew led by Mario made me feel extremely confident in their work. I am blessed beyond reason by finding them and will hire them for my next big project which will include a patio and 3 season room. I am so very confident in their work that I am writing this review before the porch is finished. I will add finished pictures when the job is complete. The initial planning process and quote were good. They told us it would take 3 - 4 days to complete. They showed up the first day and took out the old screen porch. The next day they were supposed to start installation. The materials never arrived and I was told the Lowe's truck was in accident. It then took another 2 - 3 weeks for them to get the materials delivered, and then they needed more time for another material. They finally began installation. It was evident this crew was not experienced. For example, they put the drink rails on backwards. In addition, there were several areas where they installed materials that were not flush against the house. Note, they did come back and repair those mistakes and communicated that this was a new crew that was not experienced. After about six weeks, it was complete. Not great, but acceptable. Therefore, I paid them in full and they provided a modest 5% discount for my inconvenience. Note, My wife and I were incredibly patient and understanding through the process, never complained and were incredibly flexible, given we have three dogs and it was not easy when workers were on site, may times unexpected. My main issue with this company is after the job was completed. One of the owners, his name was Steven, helped finish the job and addressed our issues. there was some touch up painting that he said he would come back complete. I could have easily held payment until that was complete, but I also understand small companies need to get paid on time and I did not want to hold their payment over painting and I trusted Steven's word he would come back. He never showed. My wife texted and called at least six times and he never responded. While that was frustrating, I can handle doing touch up on my own. The main issue is the attached photos. These are pictures of the posts they installed coming apart, and other areas that are becoming detached. I have sent them two emails in the past two months, the last email with multiple pictures of their work deteriorating. At this point, all I can say is I would hope a company advertising themselves as veteran owned would operate with honor and integrity. that does not seem to be the case for Band of Brothers. I highly recommend anybody considering this company look for other contractors that finish the work complete and with high quality, and are honest operators.

I told them before my deposit that I must have by the end of six weeks as this is a church campgrounds for delivery and once kids are there we couldn't have them in there putting it up as would be a hazard with kids present. The kids would be arriving after seven weeks from deposit. We are now at six weeks and have been told they couldn't do it at that time frame because they have to have enough other runs or sales in my area before they couldn't bring my $7000 cover. The date they are giving is when kids are present during camps which I told them before had to be in that 6-7 week window. So my purchase is not doing me the good to cover my rv during the camp season that I purchased it for. Then when the kids will be gone they can't guarantee that date either because they may not have other sales on my area. This is not treating me as a customer correctly and I have talked with several managers and promised a call back the next day but didn't happen. Said I could call him also but no answer and left voicemail with no response. The contract is ridiculous if you go back and read all the fine print but one thing it says is they want to satisfy the customer 109% but yet they don't stand by their delivery dates! I've released the concrete money to them from my loan, they won't send me my money. My building is up and I will not be releasing anymore of the loan money to them until I receive my money for the concrete. stay away from these people. When I said "It is just a shed" I never imagined what shoddy work a professional would possibly do. There was no supervisor present on the job. The #10-2 wire from the house was buried at about nine inches. The pegboard was not straight, had rough edges and did not fit neatly around joists and such. The outlets were at the floor instead of workbench high. The insulation was improperly installed and large sections were missing. All the scrap materials were left on the site. The owner said he was "shocked" at the pictures I sent and said he would redo the work. He sent the same workmen to redo the job. This time a supervisor showed up in the morning and for a short while mid-day, but did not inspect the job at the end. The work was improved, but still shoddy. We asked the owner for about 20% refund on the work and he literally (email) laughed at us. "LOL" On further complaint the owner said he wanted nothing further to do with this job and we assured him the feeling was mutual. We would not recommend this company for any kind of work.
