This is a hidden gem. PepsiCo headquarters are surrounded by a beautiful sculpture garden that is…read moreopen to public on weekends and is free. This is a great way to spend 1-1.5 hrs walking around meticulously landscaped garden with some nice sculptures. About half the sculptures are modern art which i don't care about. But plenty are actually pleasant to look at. Totems were great looking. Some sculptures are funny like Personage ( aka ET with erection) Overall very enjoyable afternoon here

When you arrive at the PepsiCo campus, you…read morehave to give your name and phone number to security and then they direct you to the parking area, which is also free. There was a food truck in the parking lot with Pepsi themed dishes. They closed at 2pm on a Saturday, so we didn't try anything. The grounds are well maintained and easy to walk. The main path through the sculpture gardens has gravel. We had no issues pushing a stroller. The grass is lush and immaculately mowed. It's perfect for laying out a blanket. The sculptures are unique and eye catching. The printed map doesn't have much detail about the art beyond the name of each piece and the sculptor. There are no placards with information either, so it's not very educational. Some of the trees and plants are labeled, so you get a bit of a botanical gardens experience as well. There were a few benches along the path, but most were not shaded. Great place for a stroll. You can easily get through it in an hour.

ArtsWestchester is so much more than an art gallery. Last fall, I attended both their September…read moreJazzFest concerts and the October Serious Fun Arts Festival that brought live music and art into the streets of White Plains. They are striving to bring the work of area artists to the downtown to offer color and life to the city. When you drive around White Plains, you will see many new murals that have been added as part of their public art program. I applaud their efforts and look forward to supporting more of their events, may of which are free to the public. The gallery just presented the work of contemporary fabric artists and was a great place to visit on my lunch break.

I just have to laugh!!!! I am a global collected artist and a resident of White Plains New York. I…read morehave had workspaces in Manhattan, Stamford Connecticut, etc. so just recently I decided why not bring more artists to my local neighborhood, and local Gallery Arts Westchester. I was shown a space about three months ago, I asked for a negotiated price, and I was told that there was no negotiation on the workspace pricing, OK no problem. I was hoping to be in "my space" in Arts Westchester at the beginning of June, though all of the management staff, was very uncooperative, very unprofessional, very arrogant, and just downright smug. Each appointment was set by management at Arts Westchester, and each appointment was disregard by the management staff. First, it was Covid, second continued meetings, third I was told I had to have a background check, at this point red flags are everywhere. My ethnicity is of mixed origin, in my heart, I was hoping that perhaps I might be overthinking, that the reason was leaning towards racism. Just because a gallery displays artwork from people of color on display, does not mean that racism isn't hiding in the shadows. Persistence is how Artists, or anyone looking to move forward in their career emerge and grow during their travels/careers. Today is Wednesday, July 27, 5:12 PM Eastern standard time, today I finally got the email, we don't want you at our gallery, not in that many words, still in a very arrogant and blunt email. I was told by the owner a week ago, (don't you have somewhere else to go?) (Followed up by you are not a priority!) extremely arrogant, extremely rude, extremely pretentious place, that includes all management staff that I have encountered. Once again a barrage of red flags. I do not leave reviews, although, at this place, Arts Westchester in White Plains New York, something is going on, beneath the hood, something just doesn't feel right. No, I am not being petty, I am sharing what yelp is made for, either positive or negative experiences in a business. In my personal opinion, Arts Westchester is a red flag place to be wary of. The management staff, is very unprofessional, except for one person, other than that forget about it. Also, the host that answers the phone, is amazing! I hope this helps if you're interested in pursuing a place in Arts Westchester, in White Plains New York. Please share your experiences if you have them. Love, strength, and positive energy always. Very respectfully, and always sincerely, Irrix Screen
