It can be totally frustrating if you get the days mixed up and get there when they're closed, but apart from that now that I'm used to the hours I find they are suited to most people. Open from as early as 7.30 most days for those that need to get to work or school early, and open til 6 or 6.30 for others. Makes it convenient for everybody to find some relief! I've been here once and Michael, a qualified chiro, did a great job. I heard a couple of cracks in my back, and I've never felt more relieved or tensionless. I could breathe further down into my stomach and ribs and was able to make moves I haven't been able to since the age of five! Only reason they don't score slightly higher is because I felt a little uncomfortable with Michael. He is brilliant at what he does, and there's nothing wrong with his manner, it's because I personally feel more comfortable with a female. Hard marker huh? Ok. 3.5 stars.

Such is life in this crazy 'social media' world. It is true that I did a lot of independent medical examinations for insurers - and, yes, they did seek me out, because I wasn't ripping them off, as many were (not just chiropractors, but physios, osteos, and medicos too!). For the most part, my opinion was on the side of the claimant. When not so, I perceived that the problem was often not with the patient, but with the practitioners and, not infrequently, the lawyers. Cannot please everyone, but some of the rorts would make your blood boil.

Body First Chiropractors are among these few - they follow the Gonstead Chiropractic principles. Yep... I'd never heard of it either, until a very good friend of mine was singing their praises for greatly reducing her migraines, and I Googled it. They take the time and are trained / experienced in doing a more thorough assessment to enable them to better determine route causes leading to more effective treatment. They look at the body as a whole, connected "machine" and understand how parts of the body which are suffering are affected by other, seemingly unrelated parts of the body. Long blurb... Short story: they do great stuff! I had pain and discomfort for over 4 years. Deep tissue massage, physios and plain old "ignoring it, it'll go away" didn't work. I had disturbed sleep and restricted movement. I'm four visits into a treatment plan with Body First and my pain has all but gone and have a working plan to keep things just dandy. I'm looking forward to being able to move like a normal person for the first time in years! After medical insurance, I'm paying less than $20 per visit. Well chuffed!
