On 15/07/2013, James Chang from Dustless World quoted me $300 via email for my 2-bedroom carpeted unit to be cleaned up (Including steam cleaning the carpet). I accepted the quote on the same day via email. James emailed me back saying he will send 2 cleaners on 02/08/2013 at 10.30 am. At 7.20 am on 01/08/2013 (Day before the cleaning date) I sent a friendly reminder to James about the cleaning to occur next day. He replied at 9.50 am on 01/082013 saying - "2 cleaners will be your place tomorrow at 10:30am." Everything was going smoothly ... until - At 2.47 pm on 01/08/2013 (same day) I received a call from a certain "Andy" who is from 'iGreen Carpet Cleaning Services Sydney'. Dustless World, it seems, sub-contracted the job to another company. Andy said, he can't come at 10.30 am. He can come at 3.00 pm. That was very problematic for me as I need to submit the keys by 5.00 pm before the Real Estate closes, and I know for a fact that it is not possible for 2 people to clean the entire unit and steam-clean the carpet in less than 2 hours. Disappointed and disgusted by Dustless World's misleading timing, lies and broken promises - I have called them up and cancelled the booking. I have then called another company called Apple Cleaning Company (0488 992 771). Natalie on the phone was very professional and helpful. She organised everything for me. Apple cleaning charged $345 instead of $300 - but that's a price I am happy to pay because I want certainty on my last day of the lease so I can return the keys on time. Dustless World is useless. Don't use them.

The manager of the company came to review my home and gave me a truly reasonable quote. I was so thrilled I didn't even feel the need to shop around. The next week a very sweet couple started cleaning my home fortnightly. They are honest, reliable and worked some serious magic on my tub. It had epic stains that they made completely vanish. Even my very clean-freak sister-in-law was impressed. Also, I left a broken glass on the counter and while cleaning, our cleaning lady thought she had broken the glass and came to admit this to me. My former cleaning lady would never have admitted breaking anything so I was very impressed. Can't tell you what a relief it is to have a sparkling kitchen and bathrooms every other Thursday. The cleaners got right away to setting their equipment and first started cleaning the carpet in my living room and later moved to the one in the bedroom. I guess they did an amazingly good job, they were very speedy and thorough and even had moved the furniture around in order to get the whole carpet cleaned. Later it appears that they'd forgotten the right arrangement and I found my furniture not in their right places but still I think they were pretty good and will continue to use them.

Once Ruby was banished to the laundry, it was down to business. The rooms were looked at and we agreed on what furniture was worthwhile moving and what should stay. His offsider then arrived and the vacuuming & steam cleaning began. Both fellows were not only polite but were careful moving furniture and putting back in the same position. It took 2-3 hours. A bonus was that their cleaning agents are eco-friendly, kid/pet safe, and smelled pleasant. No chemical smell that needed airing out. The paint came out of my carpet, except for one black spot that isn't that obvious but slightly still there hence the 4 stars (not sure if that was just because it was black paint but I thought it all being water colours that it would have come out easier, I could be wrong - I'm no carpet expert!!!) and I could walk straight onto it afterwards. They used sub-contractors for the rendering, the plaster board and painting. The only work they didn't carry out was the plumbing but they did the tiling. Everyone of them were top knotch and lots of fun. Very pleasant people just like Jamie himself. They carried out the work putting in new windows. putting up the framework and floating floors all in super quick time. I would thoroughly recommend them.
