My dermatologist handed me a prescription and I popped in here to have it filled. It literally took 5 minutes. They also sell cold beverages so if your doctor is running late you can stop down and grab a few cold ones. Very knowledgeable pharmacist who has a good bedside manner. If I didn't know better I think she was high or something. She works in the pharmacy yet has no idea about anything. Common cold medicines. I said I wanted Mucinex with decongestant and pseudoephedrine. She's like we don't have that we only have pseudoephedrine. The pharmacist who looks overworked and burned out, I was able to yell to her. You don't have congestion and pseudoephedrine together back there? She said you mean Mucinex D yes I said. Of course they have it. Pearl had no idea what she was looking for what she was giving me nothing. I got the Mucinex. I wanted the 600 mg and 60 mg but I was never asked what I wanted they just hand it to you and act like that's all they have. The Customer Service is basically you're an irritation. Worst pharmacy in town, in my opinion. My mom was getting…read moreher prescriptions from here. I asked that I be able to pick up her meds, rather than wait around all day for a delivery. When I did go pick up her meds, the staff were unfriendly and seemed annoyed that I'd come to get the meds rather than have them delivered. 2 months ago, they sent her a text that they had planned to deliver her meds that day (not sure why they ignored my request to pick them up) but had only discovered that day that she needed refills, so her delivery would be delayed for 5 days. No apology, no offer of emergency meds to cover her, I guess she was just supposed to keep her blood pressure down with the power of her mind. Last month, again they ignored my request to not have her meds delivered and sent her a text that the delivery was on its way. No one showed up. She called the next day to ask where her meds were and they said they would be delivered the following week. Again, no apology, no emergency meds. I'd had enough and went to another pharmacy to transfer her prescriptions. The new pharmacy called me and said that Akron Health Mart Pharmacy had actually refused to allow the transfer until I called to tell them why. So, I did. She's now with the new pharmacy and we are so glad to be done with these folks. Please, save yourself the headache and go anywhere else.

LOVELY Monday Jan. 12, 2026: fill in…read morepharmacist -I have used Highland Square Akron Pharmacy for 20 years never had a problem NEVER this week (a temporary pharmacist on duty) the way I was treated was horrendous, I actually cried when I got off of the phone, I have never had anything like this happen before, the disrespect, I was a wreck the entire day. There was 1 staff member that was not a regular also and both women were just awful to me. My doctor was forced to call the pharmacist 2 times to get my prescription set and admittedly my doctor was upset because she knows me and I was upset. how it ended? the TEMPORARY Pharmacist told my husband who went to pick it up that she "didn't like the way my doctor talked to her", so she refused to fill my prescription. AND I NEEDED IT. I found a local pharmacy open til' 8:00pm, my doctor made a 3rd phone call for me to the new pharmacy and thankfully I got my medication there at 7:55pm. AGAIN - my doctor referred to the pharmacist as 'a floater' not knowing I already knew she was not a usual staff member, but regardless, my dr. was rude to her so I had to go w/o my medication? My calm, cool, collected, extremely kind husband called me from the parking lot after the final attempt and he told me he raised his voice and yelled at the pharmacist, told her she was unprofessional and causing his wife undue stress, among other things. I was beyond stressed because he never raises his voice, he is the most calm person I know - and he hit his limit with this TEMPORARY pharmacist. In the wee hours I got the app for the pharmacy I ended up getting the meds from and I electronically transferred all of my prescriptions to that place, I can't fathom having to go through anything even close to what I went through yesterday. We are going to be writing up a formal complaint and making phone calls but I need to calm down first, but this review I can do, so there it is.

For a few years now I have had to get cat meds compounded and they have always come through with quality & quickly. I drive 30+ min to get to them (and they are a nice, super-clean facility), but last year realized that they offer the option of shipping and have been doing that ever since. This week we were having an awful heatwave, but I was due for a refill, and I was so impressed when I received the package that the first thing I did was write this review. They had taken so much care with packaging (padding, cooling pack, individual blister pack so the pills (trituate type) wouldn't melt together. They can help you will any kind of need for animal or human meds. If your pet is particularly troublesome getting meds into, just call and they are certain to have and idea of how to compound the meds for them.

They don't think it is their job to do their jobs. They try to tell the patients that they have to contact the doctor when in the past that was the pharmacist role. I will tell my doctor I would rather be dead than work with people like them. They have such poor attitudes. They treat people like dirt and then play the victim. These are people that don't care how many people they harm. Just don't hurt their precious fragile feelings. If you ever do much as hurt their precious fragile feelings even though they have hurt your countless times, they will threaten to terminate the relationship. They can't live to the standard of behavior they set for their customers. Heartless. Cruel. Last year they refused to send my heart medication to another pharmacy. I had to explain to my doctor why I wasn't taking my medication for the last year. I told him it was because they didn't feel it was their job for me to get it. They have also made others errors that I was gracious enough to overlook. I am tried of being mistreated. Customers deserve better treatment.
