I am an out-of-state owner so good communication was imperative. He kept me updated on the project and his prices were very competitive. I received before and after pictures so I was assured that the work done met all of the POA requirements. They've upgraded their equipment in a big way, now bringing in one of the largest skid steers on the market with attachments like a mower, grapple, and a powerful masticator/mulcher. It's clear they're invested in doing top-quality, efficient work. Their services have expanded too--they now offer everything from defensible space clearing and stump grinding to weedeating, mowing, heavy brush clearing, and downed tree removal. It looks perfectly professional, from the trim, to the paint, to the electrical work. The wall texturing is what really impressed me. It was a perfect match for the texture already on the wall. Every neighbor that walked by commented on how lovely the new fence looked. His estimate was spot on and he made us aware of any concerns he had along the way. For example the gate screws were not the correct kind or placed correctly and he changed them so the gate is now very secure. He was willing to seal the fence so it doesn't warp in the sun and heat. His estimate came in much lower than any of the other estimates we received and his work was stellar.

I incorrectly assumed the hourly rate would fall within the parameters of a reasonable rate for an unlicensed handyman. Our bill for 15 hours of work was nearly $2,000 (minus some materials and small trailer rental) with a fixed hourly rate of $130 per hour. Although I appreciate George helping us out with our list of miscellaneous handyman items, we would not have proceeded with the work had we known that the hourly rate was so high.

My freezer door was left open over night and my fridge had stopped working Saturday. I couldn't…read moretell if it was the fridge or the circuit breaker when I tried to troubleshoot. I contacted Reed Electric through yelp on a Sunday morning and I received a call less than 2 hours later. I explained my situation and Reed helped me troubleshoot my fridge and circuit over the phone and discovered my circuit breaker was working properly and the problem was my fridge. Reed was very helpful and informative with my questions. I asked him how much for his time and he said no charge. Needless to say, if I ever have electrical issues, I'll be calling Reed Electric again. Just had my new fridge installed Wednesday and no issue with the power/circuit. Thanks Reed
