I have contacted him at least 6 times and now he says he needs to contact the roofing material manufacturer since they are uplifting. If a hurricane comes along, I will lose half my roof. I need this resolved and I am getting g the run around. I will be reporting this to someone who takes reports on shady contractors in the St Tammany area. THIS MUST BE RESOLVED!​​

Well anyway Mr. Caillouet came out and meeting him was well worth the frustration I experienced with Home Advisors. Mr. Caillouet has an established business, licensed and insured. He's very customer oriented and very thorough, and he keeps scheduled appointments. His family ( wife and children ) are involved owners in a 4th generation business. I did not use his services at this time, but I have him lined up for several projects very soon. I could not go without sharing this info with every one of the YELP community! Over the course of what turned out to be 5 year renovation, I've worked with several local contractors and none can compare to J.A.L.'s professionalism and sensitive treatment of me and my home; when you have to live on-site during a renovation, it matters a lot that the workmen keep their areas clean, reduce noise whenever possible, and do no damage to the furnishings, but J.A.L. exceeded my expectations in every way. I'll confirm one of the other 1 star reviews as being 100% accurate. When I initially reached out for an estimate I never got a call back with a quote. I should have taken that as a sign and took my business elsewhere. Kevin May was hired to do a job that he clearly was by NO means qualified to do. He half did the job. So many errors so many imperfections. He tried to get away with not properly doing things then when told about them he had an extremely nasty and unprofessional attitude as though this was a service that he was doing for free. He went to lowes to supposedly purchase materials. Only to later find out that he thought that it was okay to purchase chips, and drinks at my expense. Complete and total ignorance. He left trash outside of my home boxes old cabinets ect. he did not clean up after himself neither did he haul off trash from the poor job that he completed. The job remains to have many errors that he feels like I should be okay with. I attempted to report him to the better business bureau but he's not listed. I can definitely see why. Based on the quality of work or lack thereof its clear that he is by no means licensed. I'm not sure who could have given him five stars and why because he is horrible and lacks professionalism and his work is garbage. I will never in life use him if he were the last person standing and I would never recommend him to anybody. I strongly urge you to find you a reputable company that embodies skill and professionalism. I will be taking him to court if I continue to have problems with the job that he was paid to do. He falsely offers a year warranty which he has no intentions of fulfilling. He wants money and lots of it but doesn't want to do the work of the money. Which is sad. NEVER AGAIN...
