Very disappointed in my experience shopping here…read more I originally came looking for a saddle pad, they had a pretty decent selection but not exactly what I was looking for. I ended up picking a pad that was supposed to be a nice cooling one for my horse but it unfortunately didn't work with my saddle and was very slippery. I brought it back to exchange for something that would work better and the owner refused the return because the pad had a little bit of dust on it. She said it was stained, I rubbed my hand on it a little and the dust started to brush off and mentioned that I could have washed it but then I definitely couldn't have returned it! She then went on to tell me I should have used a sheet on my horse and the saddle pad over it which would defeat the entire purpose or this specific pad and it's "cooling" properties. I mean the pad is white, it was already pretty dusty and lint sticks to it easily which I chose the cleanest looking one from the store in the first place. Their employees don't know what they are talking about when it comes to saddle pads and had no clue what to suggest to me by the way.. It cost me over $150, not to mention an hour of travel to have a worthless pad I can't use. I'll take my business elsewhere thank you.

Even though the policy on receipt states that "no credit after 90 days" Cheryl was nice enough to make an exception. I will definitely recommend Eli's western wear to friends and family.

He was great at getting a proper fit and a look that I was comfortable with. They had some great shirts on sale, so I came away with two. I'll probably come back to look at new boots. When it comes to boots, hats and the like it's important that they fit right and they are something you like the look of. I highly recommend looking here first before ordering something on-line or a big box store. This place is a gem. Give them a try.

I found El Ranchito through Google (didn't look at reviews, just wanted to see if they only carried boots like some western wear places do). We stopped over today shortly after opening (11am as per google) but their sign read that they open at noon. No problem. Just know they open around noon. Place is small, but packed with neat stuff. Good stuff. (I'm not a huge western wear person, but grew up in a small farm town and know a thing or two about what to look for in a decent thread.) El Ranchito had a big selection and the quality of their product was really decent. Not like last-forever quality but pretty decent. Prices were fair in the current economy. I'd really recommend taking a look if you like anything western or are trying to make a costume. The staff were super nice. Not fake nice like most people working in retail. They seemed happy, which means a lot to me when I stop into any place. They keep their shop clean and cool. There's a dressing room. It's really chill in there. Check it out.

WELL. My quest for a hat started all because of going to the Yelp Cosmic Rodeo and I needed a hat, like, PRONTO--but I didn't like the lack of choices I saw at Target and Burlington's. So, what else is there to do besides now own a quality-made cowboy hat? They have a rather large selection of hats available, but knowing nothing about cowboy hats (and hats, period), I needed a little help. The nice girl at the store approached me and asked if I needed help, to which I was like, "OMG, yes PLEASE!" She helped me out in getting the right size and trying it on then took her time to talk to me about signing up for free membership. Well. How can I say no? I can't help but notice they have quite a few dresses available and they are ADORABLE. The boots looked pretty sweet too. As for price--not bad for what you get. I did a cold search online to see what a hat would cost in Amazon and in another custom shop, and it's right on point, if not slightly less. I did get a pretty basic standard hat, but it's classic and beautiful, and if I'm going to own a cowboy hat, may as well get something that would go with anything and that I'd wear again. (DEFINITELY to the next Yelp Cosmic Rodeo!)

At one point the girlfriend began to walk towards a trash bin near the restrooms to throw away a paper she had from earlier....all of a sudden an older woman employee came up and literally snatched the hat away from her hands!! She then proceeded to make a rude comment and took the hat to the front cash register. My adult children were stunned and then noticed another employee kept following them around the store!!! Upon being told this, I went to the front register but could not find the older woman. I let the girls at the front what had occurred, how appalled I was, and how I wouldn't spend a dime in their store. This was something that my kids and I have never experienced before at any store.
