This vet is very rude. I needed records of an animal he cared for transferred over to St. Joseph Vet. He told me he could not email records but could fax right away, which I didn't mind. I wanted Dr. Stubblefield to confirm the fax number I gave him to have records sent and he YELLED over the phone to me the fax number he took down. I did tell him that this was an urgent request because the animal was having a splint placed under anesthesia this morning and he proceeded to say I'll send the records as soon as you get off the phone. Again, very rude man and will not EVER recommend this place to anyone. read more

This vet was NOT very nice, he is arrogant, demeaning and rude! I took my cat in because of sneezing & lethargy and had other issues. Her normal vet could not see her. The vet at this clinic made me feel like the I was less than gum on his shoe because I vaccinated my own pet at home (I have veterinary experience). He also told me "It's going to be done my way or you can leave". He kept telling me in "his 50 years of experience, so I know what I'm talking about." I could care less! I don't care if you have 6 weeks or 60 years' experience you should never talk to people the way he talked to me. He will never touch my cat again! I felt like I was bothering him to examine my cat. My daughter worked here in an administrative capacity for one month. Just like employee before her - one month. In the short time she was there, she updated several of his office practices, reorganized (alphabetized) his files, and generally tried to bring his office into the 21st century. Dr. Stubblefield commented several times about how smart she was and that she "had a brain," I'm assuming compared to previous employees. My daughter graduated a year early from high school and is a junior at UIUC studying forensic anthropology (after initially pursuing astrophysics). She's very smart and respectful. She patiently endured Dr. Stubblefield's endless lectures on various minutia, like how the items on her desk should be arranged. She also patiently listened while he scolded her for not recommending medications to patients or explaining what they were for (not her job, not her area of expertise, and certainly not appropriate for an administrative assistant.) She's also been raised to respect her elders. But she's also been raised to not tolerate bullying and inappropriate comments and behavior by people in authority. That's why she quit after one month. Before leaving, she left detailed notes for the next one-month employee about how to do everything. When I asked her why, she said, "Because I had to learn everything from scratch and I don't want the next person to go through that." read more

A very close family friend had been going to this vet for almost a year trying to fix issues with his cat. They recently went to the other vet in town (Paxton Vet Clinic) to get a second opinion. A few days ago though, his cat took a turn for the worse and he called Acre Hill for an emergency visit. The Dr. told him he needed to pick which vet he wants to use and refused to see the cat. My friend then rushed to the Paxton Clinic (the Rantoul location was not open yet) but the cat died on the way there. They discovered several issues with the cat that should have been diagnosed several months ago. He will not be going to Acre Hill for his other pets and nor will I. It is disgraceful to refuse emergency help to any animal, regardless of who or where the regular vet is and the cat could have been saved if he hadn't refused to help. read more

I called with a question (I just adopted a puppy and am trying to set up a check-up with a vet) and the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude. She did not even let me ask my question.
