NEVER AGAIN. Contacted the company requesting a quote for…read moresteam carpet cleaning, which they replied to promptly, but service from then on was shocking. I made it quite clear in my emails that I wanted my carpets steam cleaned, not dry cleaned, and they said they were glad to oblige, even though they believed dry cleaning was superior, but ultimately, it was my choice to make, which I confirmed. TWICE. They showed up more than an hour early, rudely insisting I had gotten the time wrong despite me having the email confirmation of the appointment time. Then proceeded to tell me that my carpet would be dry cleaned only, not steam cleaned as they promised " because it's just better and a steam cleaned carpet would take 3-4 DAYS to dry!" I politely told them that I have had carpets cleaned before, and it should not take more than a day or 2 to dry, otherwise it'd reflect on their lack of technique, and suggested that if they could not deliver the service they had promised, there was no point in them being there. The man then proceeded to rudely tell me that he didn't bring any steam cleaning equipment with him anyway and that if I refused to have my carpets dry cleaned, he would charge me a 35 dollar call out fee - for a service they promised to provide but would not! Thankfully he left, and I contacted Benson's cleaning instead who provided excellent service- professional, punctual, friendly and most importantly- a job well done. Carpets cleaned and dried in less than a day- no thanks to Go Clean.

So with the all or nothing approach I decided to venture to a local laundromat with not only the blanket but also all my curtains. I liked this one and would go there again when the need arises. It's off the road in a small block of shops with parking right out the front. I walked in and it was clean and tidy. I put on 3 machines with curtains and one with the blanket. Then walked next door to get a drink from the deli while I waited. Best part was being able to use a few machines at once (they have double and even triple load machines so fit more in each load as well) so I did the equivalent of I think 10 loads in the time it takes to do one. Dryers are huge and worked really well. Big tip thought before you go - take LOTS of coins!!!! I took heaps and still had to ask the nice man in the deli next door for some extra.

Last thing I took in was a pair of UGG boots (ok sort of shoes) that had quite a bit of sentimental value and quite a bit of loving ware repairs. The lad at the Hub Shoe Repair stitched them up better then before and at around $16 I was more then happy to have not had to part with $150 for a new pair. But they will fix your shoes, mend your jacket or reimburse your purse for a fraction that would cost to buy a new one. Store always has people moving in and out and I think that speaks more then any review could.

Lucky for me, I've got Ford Dry Cleaners a hop skip and jump down the road - and they can usually turn it around in a day or two. Service is really good (though I never go in for anything but your basic dry cleaning) and the prices are on par. They always treat my babies gently and have always removed any specific stains I've brought to their attention - including one huge coffee stain on my cream Lover dress, which I was totally freaked out about. They also offer your usual bits and bobbins - zips, dyes, buttons and the like - as well as minor alterations, but I wouldn't really recommend them for anything but the super basic, super specific alteration, as they're not really set up for it and don't have a change room. But hey - they do one thing and they do it well.

The lady took one look and said they would do their best but she couldn't promise anything. I returned 4 days later having very low expectations, as long as it was almost wearable I would be happy. But OH MY GOD it was perfect. They left a note on the dress saying there were a few spots left, but I couldn't see them. I was so ecstatic I could of kissed the lady serving me. Definitely the best $19 I have spent in my life. I'm generally not a dry-cleaning person. I usually put the washing machine on gentle and hope nothing shrinks. However, there are some special items that definitely need dry cleaning. I would most definitely recommend Ford. They are friendly, fast and do a brilliant job.

SA Quality Home Improvements have failed to reimburse our expense to rectify the defects resulting from their sub-standard workmanship. SA Quality Home Improvements construction manager refuses to return our phone calls or reply to our emails. Needless to say, we have not and will not use SA Quality Home Improvements again as the values and principles you would expect from a reputable business are non-existent. If you don't want your clothes removed, don't go off and leave them. They don't take that long to…read moredry. Take some reading matter. Also, the laundromat is not in Firle (Kmart) Plaza. It's on Glynburn Rd, a short distance away. It's high time that the owners put up their own web site, with a decent amount of correct information. All other laundromats in the area have a web site. They will lose business if potential clients can't do satisfactory research prior to attending & using their laundry.

You wait and wait, put more coins in, and when you leave your sheets and towels still aren't entirely dry. If it wasn't for the interesting creatures you get to see in there I would probably try to dry my stuff at home with a hair-dryer. Firle Super Laundrette is conveniently located in Firle Plaza, so you can at least combine it with going to the supermarket. Overall I've always been satisfied with this place because I never had to wait for a dryer and they have a coin machine, which I need about 99% of the time I go to a laundrette. In terms of price and service I guess it's like everywhere else. Around $2 for 8 minutes in the dryer and you'll probably have to use it twice, maybe 3 times depending on what and how much you put in it. One time there seemed to be a problem with their machines and all the dryers (including stuff that came out of them) smelled of gas. Not very nice. But it seems that it was a one-off problem, so 4 stars for Firle Super Laundrette with their coin machine.

I…read morewon't go into the story of how my housemate found out about his services (they shared a taxi once when she was drunk) but anyhow we gave him a call to come out and have a look at a couple of dodgy looking spots on our living room floor just after we had moved into our rental property. He came in with all the gear but after telling us the marks on the floor were slight burns and would not come out, he didn't even charge us a consultation fee. He also gave us a complimentary bottle of carpet cleaning spray and instructions of how to use it to keep our carpets spick and span. We are looking to move out of our rental property soon and will definitely be calling him for our carpet cleaning needs before the real estate agents caste their beady eyes on them.
