He also enters some comedy into his message that keeps the mood light in the room. If you cannot attend the service in person, it is uploaded onto Facebook and YouTube. The entire church really makes you feel at home. This is a church that talks about your relationship and not about religion. We are blessed to have found it and will continue to go and get involved. She absolutely insisted over and over that I HAD to tell the head of women's bible studies. Then they had to dig around to find as many faults about me as they could. I talk too much, I only think about myself and they through me out. Never even met the other lady. Another interesting note. They don't forgive..I said I'm sorry. They said nothing. This includes the pastor, his mother and the head of women's ministries. Interesting that the pastor recently said in a sermon " What do you do when someone hurts you?You love them, pray for them, forgive them" That's an exact quote. I've never felt so depressed, so disconnected with God, and probably will never go to church again. Lynn

I had difficult church experiences before, with my questions being brushed aside and the young adults being divided by cliques... but the leaders at Clovis Christian were willing to listen and search the Bible for answers, plus I was treated like family. It's been several years since, but I'm grateful that arms are just as much open to the community (and other parts of the world, in their support over overseas ministries from Cambodia to India). Sermons are a good balance of comforting and challenging, worship is subdued but with a lot of emotion, and there's a lot of new growth and volunteer opportunity happening that's kept me feeling connected and with something useful to contribute.

A man walked up to me and handed me a bulletin and walked away! I sat in the back and watch the pre-service video announcements. One announcement stated the visitor welcome program was a huge success, and visitors were saying how welcomed they felt... good job CCC! I left that day never talking to anyone, even though I tried to connect with people. I didn't feel like anyone even cared I was there. They all seemed so excited to see each other, but not too excited over visitors. I saw a few families that I assume were visitors look as bewildered as I was! The message was average. Not for me.

A friend dragged me to BridgeChurch and honestly I'm really glad she did. The vibe here is nothing like what I expected. It feels current and real. Nobody is performing, the message actually connects to stuff happening in your actual life, and the worship is genuinely good. Like I looked forward to coming back, which hasn't happened for me in a long time. The people are welcoming without being weird about it. Nobody swarmed me at the door or made me feel like a project. Just normal friendly people. Its on Ashlan which is super easy to get to from most parts of Fresno. Parking is fine, service runs a reasonable length, and the whole thing just flows well. If you've been church shopping or kinda drifted away, this ones worth a try.

I had clicked on their website and watched a bit of the Pastor's message for the morning service and was really touched and decided to go to the second service. I arrived and there were a lot of people outside. It was a small crowd, maybe 80 people. In that size church, all the regulars know each other. I'm sure they could tell I was new. Not one person greeted me. Even inside, a guy by the door to the auditorium didn't speak. I had to tell him good morning and reach out to shake hands. An important part of Church for me is worship. The praise team was talented with a lead singer who has a wonderful voice. They sang some nice contemporary songs. Unfortunately for me, there was no section where there was a place for the congregation to sing along in an extended way ( for example, repeating choruses of "You are Holy, etc."). That is the part where I can really lose yourself in worship and be lifted by the spirit. I'll have to keep looking for a Church where that is part of their Worship as this type of thing really blesses me. I want to be part of the Worship, not just listen to songs, even if sung beautifully. I guess that is why there are so many Churches, so different people can get what they need! The Pastor gave a great sermon. I was really drawn to the focus of living the teachings of Christ instead of judging others. Putting the emphasis on love instead of judgement of others. Yes! His Sermon was just the kind of approach to Christianity that I want to be part of. It is sad for me that the other important parts of going to Church were not what I need: Worship and Fellowship. There was no place in the service where we were asked to greet others around us. I found that lacking because one of my reasons for going to Church is Fellowship and Community. Leaving the Church, no one spoke to me. How could my experience have been improved? Add a space for fellowship during the service. Have the congregation look around and greet someone and shake hands. The new attendee in the group will feel seen and welcomed. Have people by the doors greet people coming and going. This provides a welcome. I felt completely invisible there. In a Church this size, everyone knows everyone and they know when there are new people. I grew up in a Church this size and we always knew if people were not regulars in the congregation. You grow the Church by welcoming and including new people, not ignoring them. I will tune in at home to catch the Pastor's sermons from time to time, as he really fed me with spiritual food I really needed. Thanks and God Bless you, Pastor!
