Provided by YP.com Posted by SOLDIER4JESUS on 08/30/2011 please children of god BEWARE of this business, it is based on false teachings, they mix lies with the truth,I do understand that a church needs funds too keep the doors open and the lights on etc., but they spend an unbelievable amount of time convincing people to OPEN THEIR WALLETS.I couldnt help to notice there not even being one cross in the place, not anywhere on there property, the cross symbolizes what jesus, its the bridge between us and him, not even a cross around any of the pastors RANDY HAND or CHERIE HAND or nick hand for that matter, oh but i didnt notice a huge domino pendant around cheries neck the symbolic meaning of the domino is : COMMUINSM CAPITALISM or " THE DOMINO EFFECT" pure evil in my eyes , also something much more scarier folks is there logo this is what they replaced the croos with the "ALL SEEING EYE" please research the meaning of this for yourselfs also compare there log to thee all seeing eye in 'google images' i have nothing to gain from posting this, just posting the truth! We have spent our livelihood there and have left heart broken. The tithing is just one of the major problems there. You will not grow in Jesus Christ there. I'm not sure who they worship there, but it's not Jesus. I hear more about a movement than I do Jesus. I want my kids to learn about him and we learn more about heaping up treasures that never come. I regret exposing my family to this satanic environment. I thank God, Jesus Christ of the Bible, that he opened our eyes to the lies. So many unspeakable things happened. Sexual immorality in the leadership. They sell lies there, folks. If you want to leave broke, with no job, harassed, deceived, spiritually oppressed, then go. As for me and my family, we are picking up the broken pieces and moving on in Christ. May God have mercy on the leadership there. Please, if you have a family, don't GO! Men, protect your family. That is important when reading my review because it is coming from a perspective of being very involved and seeing things operate from the inside rather than just sitting in the seat watching. Please. If you are looking for a church to attend do not try this one. It was great starting out, then things began to get really weird. Don't get me wrong I am not religious, just interested in a relationship with God. It started to become very Cult like rather than a house of worship and fellowship. Leaders are encouraged to cut all ties with people that decide to leave (no visitation, no fellowship...this includes if a child stays and a parent leaves) They teach that "spiritual authority" comes before Parental authority. They say that their campus in fresno was gifted to them..when in fact they still pay rent for it. Their "paid-in-full" campaign for the building that The Well ministry now owns was never paid for...and why haven't they opened that BIG Levitz site yet? Ask the City of Fresno. There is just so much deceivement going on that nothing lines up with the Word of God. If you are looking for a pastoral staff that is hands-on that will shepherd you, you will not find that here. read more

I am writing this review, because I think it its extremely UNFAIR to review an establishment like a church when someone has only been there a few times or a few months. C'mon people, do your research. I want to say that I am not disgruntled and hold no bad vibes to this church. This will however be an honest review for honest people. These are just a few points in what could be a book of things I saw in the years I was there. As a former KIC teacher for 3 years and 7 year dedicated "follower" I speak. (I was the one in front dancing with the kids before every service) I was highly involved in men's group, and even hosted home 'connect' groups when these were going on. Not to boast, but with my children's ages and my wife and I's involvement, we were much respected and an intricate part of growth at Celebration. The only thing I can say about Celebration is you'd better have money. My advice is to not give your tithe all at once. Believe me, you'll have PLENTY of other opportunities to give, like to Pastor Cherie's birthday fund. (I thought the new testament said for women to remain silent? Oh, never mind, that's for another thread) Maybe a prophet deserves a prophets reward, or another UFC fight in Vegas...I donno, somethin'. I can feel the spirit of prophecy in me right now.....The lord told me that Celebration will try to open another facility soon, so yeah, have money. I know when my family of 5 went there, you have to follow around whatever 'Rock Star" is forced down your throat every time the doors are opened. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT question anything these men say. Trust me, they are better versed than you. Just shut up and do what they say. If not, how else will they pay for a building that keeps getting promised to open soon?!?!?! At this time it was Crazy Uncle Damon Thompson. You also need to "get up under" a good leader as they tell you how much more you should be doing and giving (mine was Pastor Carlos). While you are being 'mentored', don't you dare question ANY of the doctrines or theologies. You should be prepared to sit there every week watching the back of the G4-2 students (chosen ones) and watch them drool over the newest style of teaching and tattoo trends as they themselves try to emulate this style of speaking when finally given the chance to prey er.....I mean....pray in front of the congregation. I was going to write a long review, but frankly I'm tired of talking about this place. Yelp police just censored me again. Celebration worships mammon, they want your $$$s not your heart. It is strange how they seem to be so into outward worship, yet you never quite know what that is. They do not like to see you leave the church, they want your dollars to stay firmly put with them. Below is my post from a few years ago. This place is a place to be cautious of. They worship something there but I don't think it is God (maybe money). Instead of bagging on them too much, I will instead pose a series of questions and things to look for. Any faith seeker should question these things and check them out for themselves. 1) Count all the crosses in the entire building...how many do you get? 0....1...2...10? 2) Examine the logo carefully, now examine the dollar bill and the eye of the Phoenix on top of the pyramid; next do a little research about why that logo is included. Check out the movie Eye Phoenix Secrets Dollar Bill. 3) Examine how long they spend on the tithe and offering; just how many minutes were spent per service on average over say 3 weekends. Was it 1 minute, 10, 20? 4) Examine what scriptures they use to teach from. Do they read a chapter in its entirety or do they cherry pick verses from differing translations? Then ask yourself why that might be. Examine the context of the scriptures around what they are preaching. 5) Examine their belief in why they speak in tongues. Ask them why. Next ask them why they choose to speak in tongues in public during a service without interpretation of it; refer to the Apostle Paul in 1Corinthians 14, more specifically 1Corinthians 14:6-14. 6) Try to videotape a service. And you will quickly be reprimanded. You don't believe me, try it. Next question why sharing something Holy needs to be kept secret like the Illuminati prefers. 7) Ask about their building project on Shaw and 99. Ask where the money went, why it is no longer working? 8) Ask to see the financials of the church. What kind of information do you get from that? 9) Examine their claim that they are a movement and not a religion. 10) Pray about it, ask God where you belong. read more

The whole time there just telling us how important it is to give and how we need to give money all the time, they offer to hook it up to our bank accounts whatever is the easiest way to get the money out of your pockets into theres but all the leaders here don't do the same. Pastor Stovall lives in a 1 Million Dollar house and in a neighborhood amongst Jacksonville Jaguars and all the reverends and Pastors and people collecting money off the payroll of the Church send their kids to expensive private schools and live Upper Class lives. Your a pastor trying to spread the word of Jesus but you live the opposite of modest. 60% of the service is just Pop music, 20% is telling you how important it is to give and the other 20% is them actually saying something biblically related. I'm very disappointed of this Church to which I have attended for over 10 years, I can remember even in the kids church how much pressure they put on the kids to give. This comment will probably end up getting deleted and the pastor or the team can shoot me an email whenever at roneeta2@icloud.com and I will personally come up there on stage in front of everyone and talk with the pastor my grievances with the church, head on. Celebration Church is a scam, many former church going families that I used to go with all the time have left including mine. Very disappointed and want answers. But the Church will never talk to me about my grievances with them and continue to ignore this comment and me or probably end up deleting this. read more

This place changed my life. I walked in there a mess & since my dedication to follow Jesus I have been a MESSAGE every since. I was a drug addicted, gang affiliated whore and I walked into Celebration, pregnant out of wedlock, baby daddy gone...like I said, I was a mess. Fast forward 12 years: I am a mighty woman of God! I am married to a man I met at Celebration, I'm a graduate of G42 School of Ministry & was on staff at Celebration. I know where the tithes & offerings go, they go toward bringing more people to the saving grace knowledge of JESUS CHRIST. If you don't want to be financially blessed in this life, then don't give...BUT every dollar I have ever given has been with the right heart & my life & the lives of my children reflect that. I've had 4 HEALTHY babies since my 40th birthday, coincidence? I think not. Tithing rebukes the devourer. Faith is the currency of heaven, money is the currency here on earth. We need to be financially blessed to do what God needs the church to do, win souls to Jesus. Taste & see that the Lord is good! read more

Everyone knows how hard it is to walk into a church for the first time. You do not know what to expect. Are people going to be friendly? Am I dressed appropriately? Am I going to be judged by the way I look? Is there an easy escape route if it is weird and I want to get out? We all have these same feelings and anxieties about attending a church for the first time. The people at Celebration really love people. You cannot even get through the front door without at least two people greeting you. Everyone is friendly and helpful, ready to answer any questions you have. I think what impressed me the most was that when we returned the following week, two individuals in particular, remembered not only my name , but my husband's and children's names as well. Celebration makes people a priority. This church is made up of many ethnicities and varying age groups, unlike any church I have seen. It is a great place to be. read more

My family and I are rather new to Celebration Church ( 3 months) and we love it. We were looking for a new church and went to a total of 10 in the Fresno/Clovis area and Celebration is were we found our home to praise God. My daughter (6th grade) loves KiC (Kids in Celebration) and cant wait to be in the 7th grade to join 2SM (Junior High/High School) They bring in guest speakers/pastors as well. So far we have seen Samuel Rodriguez, Glen Berteau, Dave Martin, and currenty we are going through the Dave Ramsey series. ALL HAVE BEEN AMAZING!!!! For someone to give a 1 star review for never actually going is kind of sad. And yes, my husband and I tithe (give our first 10% of income into the house of the Lord) ! Be a cheerful giver and sew into your church regardless of where you attend. I hope whoever reads this gains interest and comes to check it out. They also have a live stream as well. read more

I felt compelled to give my testimony about my old worship grounds called Celebration Church. I read many of these reviews especially the ones that talked about tithing. I feel they are not warranted as I can honestly say that when I couldn't Tithe I felt guilty. I never felt pressured but to tithe. I know I felt terrible when I couldn't give(tithe) and I think that's what some but not all of these people felt and just projected how they felt about not being able to give when asked to. You should never give if it doesn't come from the heart. Pastor Hand always says God loves a cheerful giver. We should all remember that its our responsibility to give to our home churches to be able help those less fortunate and not return anything in exchange but Gods Blessing. read more

Celebration Church is a wonderful and God-centered church that I would highly recommend. The church leaders and staff are genuinely friendly and care about everyone that attends. My 15 year old daughter found this church through a friend at school and we have been going for a year now and we are both involved in serving at the Clovis campus. It is different from other churches we have attended, but I love this church for that reason. It is a radical church that is geared toward people of all ages and backgrounds. The relaxed atmosphere may surprise you at first, but after going for a year, I feel the presence of God every time I step into the building. read more

My family and I love this church! We've been attending for many years now and it just seems to get better and better every week! They have great classrooms and teachers for the kids, and they always have a ton of fun. Services are never a bore, and I love the diversity of people that are here! Old, young, every race, and every demographic- it's no strange thing to see a homeless person sitting next to a sharp dressed business man. Grateful for this church! What I love most about this place is that is doesnt matter who you are, where you come from, what you look, dress or smell like, rich, poor, young or old, you are WELCOMED and LOVED, and there IS a place for you. I love Celebration and have been lead by the Holy Spirit here over a year ago. I've been inspired to read my bible more and have a deeper relationship w Jesus and others. We call this our home church my teenagers actively listen, learn and apply the messages to their own lives its exciting to see proof. Celebration Church has 3 campus locations: Southeast location meets at Ayer Elementary @ 11AM on Sundays, Clovis campus (across from Walmart) meets Sat nights @ 6PM and Sun 9AM & 11AM, Northwest Fresno campus meets on Sun 9AM and 11AM and is located on Gates & Jacquelyn (behind the N/W Costco). We have only been going for about 2 years but it's so exciting and invigorating to see so many people giving their lives to Jesus Christ. Not surprised. I walk my dog Sunday mornings on the canal across from the church. If you challenge anyone going in especially about where their $$$ is going you will be greeted by some guys who come outside. Definitely a place for suckers. Do not give to this church , they push tithing so much and yet don't have a board, no monthly statements of offerings and tithes and where the money goes . It's just a big business for them to support there inner families highly recommend finding a actual church with transparency read more

I came to this church discouraged and I found a God who really loves me. I love this church & so do my kids! Great worship & teaching, everyone is friendly especially the staff. You don't have to be perfect to come to this church, everyone is welcomed and loved. read more
