Great little store in the heart of downtown Foley! They had listed a vintage turntable for sale on Facebook Marketplace, I called to inquire and they went ahead and set it all up so I could come from Pensacola the next day and try it out. You don't really see that level of customer service anymore and I greatly appreciated it. Besides that, they have a great selection of video games and other media (including a massive selection of DVDs and other physical media to browse) along with all sorts of electronics. All the video games, media, & other merchandise is reasonably organized into their racks or display cases sorted by system or genre. The store staff is knowledgeable and friendly when it comes to their systems, other items they're selling or if I had a question about what I own or about to purchase. Action Game & Movie provided a good selection of retro and modern games, along with movies and other collectibles, but in less than ideal conditions. Games are displayed haphazardly, some merely in sleeves, and only a select few are kept behind glass or protected. As per most game stores these days- lots of PS2/3/4 and Xbox, very few Nintendo, and if you are going in here on a budget, don't expect any great deals- most is priced as you would find it on eBay. read more

Cruising to the Christmas lights on the Foley common, or square, and right on the square we ran into this good old fashioned video and game shop. Matt O. & I just had to stop in, right on! This is a locally owned and operated shop that is a total throwback to the 80's and shops, just like this, that were everywhere into the 90's. First of all the video rentals that take mr back to my Sony betamax and the multiple trips to the video store to see what new releases that hit the shelves and that painful transition from beta to VHS that I'm still reluctant to talk about. In addition to videos there's a ton of games from al the different games consoles from the latest PS2 all the way back to Atari, yep Atari :-) There's a big selection of electronics from stereo's and turntables to VR headsets and GPS's to night vision scopes and a lot of one-off's that I would have not expected. Also there's a surprising selection of computer stuff, which as a former owner of computer stores I totally appreciated. They've got notebooks to gaming laptops and even classic PC's. I bought some Altec computer speakers and was impressed with the variety of peripherals and accessories. They've also got movie memorabilia from posters to scale model characters. Bottom line: If none of this sounds familiar then you might be surprised what you find at this cool shop but if you've recognized some of these retro goodies then you've probably already been there or making plans to check it out. The store is well organized. The staff is friendly. They have a lot of DVDs and console games along with some gaming consoles and accessories. I saw a few TV, computers, and musical instruments. We enjoyed getting to look at everything. read more

The workers here are beyond rude and have 0 interest in helping you. Employees won't even look at you and give 1 word responses. Ridiculous too for being a local store when they sell these used items for the price of the item brand new online. Your better off just going on eBay and getting what you want because it's cheaper. read more

I purchased a game from this store on Friday. Came home, never opened it, sat down to play it Sunday night and it was not the correct game. I came back, expecting difficulty explaining what happened and basically got a response that they do not make mistakes and whatever happened must have happened after I left their store. Well.... It didn't. I either got scammed by this store OR they won't own up to their mistake. All the reasons they gave for why they "knew" it wasn't their game or their mistake translated to them calling me a liar. I'm not a liar, I didn't swap the game, and I would have accepted some sort of "meet in the middle" compromise but that was not offered. So I'm out of luck and will NEVER go back to this store ever. IF you decide to go and deal with sorting through all the old games for something worth playing, be sure to check it before you leave, because if you don't and this happens, you get burnt... read more

Keep your receipts. If you receive faulty merchandise and don't have it, they'll accuse you of damaging the goods. Paid $40 for a used 360 controller and brought it back once I noticed the housing was cracked and several buttons had issues. I wanted to trade it out for another controller. They said not without the receipt. Thing is, the point of the receipt is to verify that you did in fact purchase the merchandise from that location. Even after the technician confirmed he remembered selling me the controller, they still said all they would do is offer $12 in-store credit for the controller I had paid $40 for 3 days earlier. I didn't appreciate being accused of trying to scam them. If I had damaged the controller myself, I wouldn't have brought it back to them. Text book example of bad business. I'd advise you take your money elsewhere and avoid these guys. read more

Neat selection and lots of stuff to look at but it's a bummer when you start looking at the prices and realize they're all strictly a few bucks above guide price (on video games). The employees were uninterested in engaging any of the customers in the store, and even less interested when you ask a question. read more

If you're looking for a good used DVD or vhs...this is the place. A great selection in any genre.

They have a large selection of games and movies, as well as music and accesories. The staff is kind and knowledgeable, and the prices are reasonable. I had a problem with a DVD and came back a few days without the receipt and was still able to get a store credit for it. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!! Do not come here if you are on vaction. I bought a game there that didn't work on my generic knock off snes. I went back there to return it. VERY rude people working there. They went out of there way to make sure I was a Liar. I had to wait for them to set up a Snes to test my game. I was in a hurry by the way. The game worked on there snes. They said no cash refunds or swap for some other games. I didn't see any other games and then they said store credit. I don't live down here. I REALLY HATE this STORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could give no stars. BEWARE BUYING FROM THIS STORE. They don't test there games out before selling them. OK back to the story. I swap for two other snes games. They both don't save.
