I called early in the morning to diff pawn shops called this one and asked if they had any James Avery "mothers love the small pendants for little girls, he said o I have hundreds of them, and I said what about necklaces the smaller ones as well he said the same thing okay, so I drove from poteet to military drive to go see what they had, I get there it took forever for someone to help me at that I had to go find some one, they only had a few options i needed 3sets as I had let them know over the phone...so I didn't mind I looked for something similar so I find what I was kinda looking for and then I ask the girl to ask the manager if they could swap out one of the necklaces that had a very large charm on it to a simple little heart charm one I was going to purchase separately and they said the system wouldn't let them just sell the necklace from the large ugly pendant it had...t-___-t lame. I was going to purchase everything, even tho they lied about there options I just didn't want to buy an ugly pendant for 120$ and then to just switch it out and put a small heart pendant...+they only give you like 10$ depending on the pendants anyways when you sell to them... If I could give it 0 stars I would. Every time I've set foot in here I catch attitude from different workers. Personally I'm real easy going and easily compliant, so my experience here definitely was not appreciated. Aside from that, their firearm selection is never good, but they try to lie and say they have good performing ones. You're better off taking your business elsewhere. read more

Some offers that they make you can be decent, but as far as the experience with the employees it's kinda bad. The little girl (call her that cuz she looks 12 yrs old) tht helpd me was VERY RUDE I askd her a question and it ws like she didn't hear me she completely ignored me. They low-balled me on my Bose Soundsport Free headphones by lending me $75, what ws even mre upsetting is tht she didn't check to see if thy worked even after I siggestd she do so. Don't try to get a loan or sell something here if you want a fair price. Depending on the manager working, you will get a low price or an insulting low ball offer. They don't even look up the items you bring in to find the current selling price and base their offer on that... The lady who helped me today also lied to me about the price they are selling their sunglasses. She told me they sell them for much cheaper than they do and that's why she could only offer me $25 for a pair of almost brand new Ray bans. Went looking around for a great deal ,but everything is overpriced. Employees have bad customer service. They look at you and give you aditude. They dont bother to ask if you need assistance. I went into their facility today I tried on a James Avery ring sadly to say all there James Avery silver that has the black in the background was totally scrubbed off and wear the black was totally removed I asked if I can get a better deal because they wanted $69.99 before tax and as I googled the real price is $99 from James when you get a lifetime warranty on cleaning clock in a box, the manager working during this time on 4 p.m. sunday was unwilling to adjust the price to make the sale, I believe his name was Rick he didn't even seem to be interested that the Rings original black coating had been totally gone. Since there's so many action pawns in this city I'm assuming their customer service is a hit or miss situation, so let me tell about my experience at this particular store... I entered the store and went straight to the rifle section and was sold with one rifle. I'm standing there all alone waiting for an employee to show up so I could buy it. A few minutes later another customer comes by to look at the shotguns. Right away in the aisle behind us a skinny thing poked her head out and asked that customer if he needed assistance. Of course I thought wow that's rude but whatever I'll just be patient I should be next anyways. NOPE! This scrawny thot literally made a left face and proceeded to ask every customer one by one if they needed help. When she made a full circle back to me she proceeded to walk past me towards the back I said "excuse me miss I would like to purchase this rifle" then she proceeded to say "one second I'll be right back". I timed it... 20 minutes past still no employees to help so I decided to keep my money and go somewhere else. To this day I'm still flabbergasted of how stupid a human being can be. Some of the stuff they have there is less expensive new than the used Action Pawn price. For guns, especially long guns, you're going to pay whatever they want. Check out is easy and there is always someone dedicated to fire arms. However they are usually not very knowledgeable and they routinely dry fire the weapons they handle. He didn't look anything up on the computer to see what the items were going for elsewhere and his customer service was nonexistent. He was the rudest person I have ever encountered in any business and because of Joshua, Action Pawn lost a valuable customer. If I could give this place zero stars for Customer Service I would. I went in with two Nintendo Switches, a Samsung Frontier S3 still in the box, a Pro Staff Rifle Scope, and $700 binoculars along with a bunch of real leather gun holsters and some gun magazines and a beautiful antique clock. First off, I understand Pawn Shops only purchase what they can turn a profit on but this is a Customer Service Review. I went in carrying all of these items and was directed by a friendly worker to a counter to wait for a managers assistance. One of the managers on duty, Joshua, approached me without a word and started looking through everything. I directed him to the bag with the gun magazines and leather holsters and he pushed it to the side like it was a bag of trash saying they dont accept those items even though I had called and asked before driving 30 mins out of our way and after checking with the firearms department she said they did. He didn't even look at the watch and he offered $10 for the antique clock (worth $674 online) and looked at it like it was a piece of junk. He offered a total of $410 for everything and I politely declined. I told him he should inform his staff to check with management before giving false information because I had clearly wasted my time. Without a care in the world he said "sorry about that" and walked off leaving all of my items scattered out opened all over the counter. He was rude, careless, treated both myself and my personal property like dirt, and he guesstimated on a piece of paper what my items were worth rather than looking up the model number and what they were worth on the computer like they usually do. His customer service was poor and being as he is a manager he should have been apologetic of his staff and offered better customer service rather than acting like he didnt give a damn. If I were an owner of Action Pawn I would want to know if my Managers were doing poorly and offering good service. This young man did the opposite. read more

The managers are a joke. I brought in an $800 PA rig to pawn, only to be offered a low ball $200. I was told because the mixer and amp I had were from 2004 they couldn't give me a good price. The gear they have there is over priced, damaged and even more outdated than mine. I'm a professional sound engineer & I don't have crappy equipment. The case I brought the mixer and amp in was worth $200 alone. Musicians stay away from here. read more

The guy in charge of pawning there was completely rude & tries to low ball like crazy. Enough to grant my first yelp review. I tried pawning a Yamaha keyboard/synth that's less than 2 years. This keyboard is worth over $500 dollars. New technology and software. This jerk said he could give me only $70.00. I said no way and he made a comment that it was missing a knob which is cosmetic and like a 2$ part that doesn't effect The usage on this keyboard at all. I am a musician and I know the quality of this keyboard I've been playing music for over 15 years. He then proceeds to tell me that I could waste my gas and drive all over town but nobody's going to give me more than $80. Doesn't look up the brand or anything. Then he tells me he has $3000 keyboards that nobody will buy. What he doesn't realizes those are all outdated bulky nobody's going to use those most of those kind of keyboards in 2018.
