I was desperate to get the plat amended so I reached out to fellow brokers. I was immediately referred to Kevin Kolb of TS. Kevin put me at ease immediately. He knew the process and quoted me a reasonable price. I will say that after this conversation, I never really interacted with him again but was then passed on to his assistant Andrea. Andrea was extremely professional and PROMPTLY responded to calls and e-mails. She worked very hard to get everything in place to get our plat amended and recorded in a timely fashion with COH. I asked him if he wanted to see it. He literally told me that he did not need my permission or my survey even though he was standing on my driveway - rejected my attempt to get an explanation and started ignoring me and kept digging ON MY PROPERTY. Thank God Christina was there to witness how aggressive he was. As a woman alone, having a large man be blatantly rude to you on your property out of the blue is soooo jarring and made me feel so unsafe. I asked Christina if it was okay the way he spoke to me, and she obviously didn't want to go against him, maybe out of her own fear of him because he was so aggressive, but she did apologize and say they would knock next time. I hope there is not a next time! How scary to have a big aggressive man come to my home and disrupt in such a rude way. Still in shock he felt that entitled.

It was a huge relief for me to know exactly where my property markers were, especially because I have five lots. During the job, Texas Star was very professional, organized, resourceful, and polite. They even provided me with a map of my property and measured the buildings on it, which was a nice surprise. I'm grateful to have found a local company that provides quality service without charging exorbitant prices.

Annoying, but not that big of a deal, until we realized it was incomplete. When we contacted them, they issued another one, which was also wrong. You would think third time is a charm, and I called to make sure the third try would be correct. The surveyor hung up on me, and the third certificate was wrong yet again. It took 11 business days and 4 tries for them to get an elevation certificate correct--which is one of their main offerings. Pro Surv's incompetence almost delayed my closing. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

He took my original land papers promised to have the survey done in 1-2 weeks and to return my paperwork at that time. Two months went by without a word. I called him and left messages no reply. I used a new phone he answered and promised he was done with the paperwork and would stake the property the next day. Never showed. Over 7 months I left 2200 messages he never returned not even 1 message. Using other people's phones I was able to talk with him 14 times always promising he would complete the survey the next day or by the weekend. NOTHING. Finally I went to his house first to offer more money and second to get my paperwork back. He actually ran from me when he saw me and ran into his house and would not come to the door. I tried multiple times. Avoid this surveyor like the plague. You will be sorry then unhappy then mad and finally totally consumed with wanting to get the word out how terrible this survey company is.
