I had been out of town about a half hour south of San Diego and flown back cross country and they had no trouble letting me come in for my appointment which I saw them for. then suddenly after they did that they called and said oh because you were out of town you should wait two weeks. So I've already missed a week being out of town and now I had to miss two more with no therapy. that's three weeks total. Then they close for two more weeks where they really don't close so now I'm five weeks after being a 2+ year customer paying $75 cash each and every time. I didn't mind that the credit card machine rarely ever worked or waiting, but my doctor said they should never leave me in a lurch like that without therapy and then to find out they never closed at all. I asked to talk to the receptionist there because I had to talk to another location in their chain and they said she's not there anymore or at least right now. Didn't have a lot of answers. Weren't really nice. And I'm just really sad and disappointed at this point. if they wanted me to wait two weeks after I was out of town why did they let me come back in? And the owner saw me. and then I got that one visit, but then I'm told they closed two weeks and they didn't. Even if they thought they were going to close, but they didn't, you have to call your patients back and let them know that. and of course, nobody I can talk to at the clinic whatsoever they say because... The receptionist is no longer there and I have to talk to people at another location who Sound confused at best. very sad because they were very close by. Just right near my home so now I have to travel much farther but it's actually a lot less expensive and they're better organized. :(

Many times I felt forgotten about, as I often lingered around for direction and my health felt secondary to making the clinic money. My University Rehab therapist treated me one on one for a full hour!! She was by my side giving me expert medical attention every single appointment for the entire appointment. My back pain was handled so so much faster here than previous clinics, and the pain hasn't returned. Thank you University Rehab!!!

They were done with him now that he was not a resident. He spent most of the time in his room, depressed, and it was pitiful from one day. He called me and thought he was having a stroke and I had to call back and find the nurses station because nobody had responded to him! If you care about someone, do not send them to this place!!! My mom was here for about three weeks, and we are so relieved she is now back in her assisted living facility. First, the great: the PT staff is amazing here -- many of the same staff who were there in 2015 were still there, and mom couldn't say enough good about them -- caring, competent, compassionate, patient-centered. Her weekday CNA, Millie, was an absolute gem, and cared so well for my mom. Thanks to Millie and the PT folks! And now, the awful: The weekend "staff" was appalling. Mostly agency staff who didn't know patients and, frankly, were either overworked/understaffed and/or didn't care. Mom waited extended periods of time for pain medication, her calls to the bathroom went unanswered for long periods of time (leading to accidents), and she was left on the toilet for 40 minutes one evening. Responses to our complaints were, for the most part, curt and uncaring. Discharge was a complete disorganized mess. I've worked as a long-term care nurse, and I know this job is hard. I know the system is set up to not work well, and it's even harder in this environment. But a little bit of caring and compassion goes a long way, and we saw it only in a few pockets at Carlton this time around. (And no, I don't want to talk to someone at Carlton to resolve this; they had their chance when my mom was there. Take a hard look at yourselves, folks.)

Nobody likes to have pain, but it is nice when you come into an office that is clean with pleasant people and faces that seem happy to see you. After having an x-ray of my foot performed related to my complaint I very quickly saw Dr. Albert Gillespy and he reassured me of what was going on. The visit was quick efficient and always a pleasure to see everybody. What a great office and staff.
