Lola G. I was sent…read moreto FloRehab by Dr. Hatch who advised they had very good results with other patients who had been sent there. I was having pain in hips and leg area. At times I could hardly walk. The Staff is very efficient and all appointments are met on the scheduled time. They all wore masks and requested all patients to wear one also. Dr Kim PT was very efficient in my assessment and set me up with Scott the PTA for therapy. He was very knowledgeable and helpful in working the exercises and explaining how to do them to my advantage. I can now walk and with no pain while doing it. I would recommend FloRehab to anyone needing physical therapy .

So this time their way of denying me aquatic Therapy was by saying on May 1st they ONLY HAD 4 OPENINGS FOR AQUATIC THERAPY BUT I CAN GET YOU IN FOR LAND. THEY HAVE AN EXTENSIVE MEDICAL HISTORY ON ME & I HAD A BACK SURGERY THAT'S THIS POINT IN MY RECOVERY IS CRUICAL & THEY REFUSE TO FIND 2 MORE AQUATIC VISIT BUT CAN GIVE ME LAND VISITS THAT I GO HOME IN PAIN & THEY KNOW THIS. B E W A R E I F Y O U N E E D A Q U T I C THERAPY. How can the whole month of May be booked on May 1st. I just feel so tricked & mistreated.I've never missed a visit nor been late & I'm very dedicated to my Therapy. Just B E W A R E IF Y O U NEED AQUATIC THERAPY they will start it & just when you need it most try & force you to land visit. My family is going to have to try & find me aquatic Therapy even if it has to be private because of this

When my grandparents moved here less than 3 years ago, they instantly regretted their decision but…read morefelt trapped after selling their home, possessions and liquidating their assets and have therefore stayed. Allowing this to remain was one of the worst decisions my family ever could have made. The food is decent at best and the food service staff in majority is poor, as is their current hostess. She shows inherent favoritism where residents who "play the game" through flattery, begging and bribery receive assistance, while others do not. The other residents are ignored or keep their concerns to themselves for fear of repercussion. The residents are spoken down to in rude tone of voice, things are muttered at them under their breath or are ignored altogether. Tonight two servers said "what do you expect? I'm busy!" to two tables who asked for their drinks having not received them half way through their meals. When I inquired about this I was told it was because they were "short staffed" and our waitress had to cover 6 tables. Nevertheless, order of operations is to bring drinks first and then food. Additionally, especially in a medically fragile population, food without a beverage is a choking hazard. When I asked the hostess, who acts as the "manager" she shouted while walking by our table that she didn't know why it was "any of my business", a comment that is both rudely unnecessary and ignorant. My grandfather is and will ALWAYS be my business, As are all people who are being treated unkindly or unfairly, as it is part of my code of ethics as a medical professional and my charge as a decent human being. Additionally, the apartment buildings are poorly maintained and often smell. Despite having cleaning services, the apartment is generally dirty and requires that we clean it ourselves, despite the fact that my grandfather at 90 still vacuums daily, he cannot clean the bathrooms as it is a safety risk for his to bend over and scrub. I often wonder if we should hire additional outside cleaning services, as whenever I come to visit their are mold rings in the toilet bowls, dust everywhere and he is often told to "stay out of her way or leave" so she can clean. Management staff is difficult to contact, as evidenced by the fact they don't even list their numbers on their website in a contact directory. I cannot encourage you enough to look for other placement for your loved ones, I rather beg of you.

Then they scheduled appointments with his doctors and their transportation person wouldn't show up and he missed the appointments. Then they would order things like a four wheel scooter for him, but nobody would follow up on it, and the order was canceled twice and after three weeks, I was told by a man named Mr. Ramsey that I would need to deal with his physician myself! They were done with him now that he was not a resident. He spent most of the time in his room, depressed, and it was pitiful from one day. He called me and thought he was having a stroke and I had to call back and find the nurses station because nobody had responded to him! If you care about someone, do not send them to this place!!! I would rather keep my loved one in the backyard then send them here! Be forwarned...

My mom was here for about three weeks, and we are so relieved she is now back in her assisted living facility. First, the great: the PT staff is amazing here -- many of the same staff who were there in 2015 were still there, and mom couldn't say enough good about them -- caring, competent, compassionate, patient-centered. Her weekday CNA, Millie, was an absolute gem, and cared so well for my mom. Thanks to Millie and the PT folks! And now, the awful: The weekend "staff" was appalling. Mostly agency staff who didn't know patients and, frankly, were either overworked/understaffed and/or didn't care. Mom waited extended periods of time for pain medication, her calls to the bathroom went unanswered for long periods of time (leading to accidents), and she was left on the toilet for 40 minutes one evening. Responses to our complaints were, for the most part, curt and uncaring. Discharge was a complete disorganized mess. I've worked as a long-term care nurse, and I know this job is hard. I know the system is set up to not work well, and it's even harder in this environment. But a little bit of caring and compassion goes a long way, and we saw it only in a few pockets at Carlton this time around. (And no, I don't want to talk to someone at Carlton to resolve this; they had their chance when my mom was there. Take a hard look at yourselves, folks.)
