I was a DJ for just over 20 years, so the music at our wedding was my top priority. We interviewed two companies prior to calling Jeff. One of them was the best known here in Phoenix, and I was certainly impressed by their presentation and ratings. However, part of their sales pitch was centered on how they train all of their DJ's to do and say the same things, and follow a tried-and-true script throughout the night. It felt very cookie-cutter, and it made my wife think immediately about all of the usual wedding DJ stereotypes. I called Jeff about a year before our wedding day, and we talked on the phone for almost an hour. Immediately after we hung up, I called my fiancée (now wife) and told her that I had found our DJ. I never once regretted that decision. Jeff's planning tools are user-friendly and comprehensive. His attention to detail is outstanding. Even though Jeff is one of the busiest DJ's in Phoenix, I never EVER felt like our event was anything other than the most important thing he was working on. The wedding itself was PERFECT! We were married at the Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale on December 1st, 2018. I honestly wouldn't have changed a single thing Jeff did, said, or played all night. Our 150-person crowd was 33% 20-30 year olds, 17% 30-40, 13% 40-50, and 37% 50+. To my knowledge, Jeff kept every single one of them happy!! From classic rock to current hip-hop and Top-40, he kept the dance floor full all night. My wife's family is Jewish, even though she doesn't practice the faith. Jeff played the Hora, and it was one of the highlights of the night. I think the non-Jews enjoyed it even more than our Jewish family and friends. Jeff also did a monogram for us, which was projected onto the wall at the front of the room. Our wedding theme was "The Best is Yet to Come." Pay the extra money for the monogram!!!!! I could go on all day, so I'll stop here. In closing, I'll just say that I HIGHLY recommend talking to Jeff Marcus about providing the entertainment at your wedding.

Also, not specifying your rules and regulations for not only your business but the venue is not only unprofessional but unethical, negligent, and unprincipled. While our venue came with a wedding planner, she was extremely helpful when it came to details, contacting vendors, etc...she also provided our linens for us at a very reasonable rate. They were beautiful and she really had an eye for what worked, what didn't work and most importantly, what made her clients happy. I would recommend these two for any of the services they offer. Muscleman Music & More was the top recommendation on the list provided to us by the venue. We first met with Jason in July of 2012 in the process of interviewing several DJ's for the wedding. He made it very clear to use when we first met that it was our special day and that they would do everything in their power to make sure it went off without a hitch. He spent over an hour chatting with us about what we envisioned, our musical tastes, and plans for the evening. We instantly felt at ease working with Jason and Kerri. As the wedding approached, Jason was in contact with us to nail down the final details an timelines, get the first dance songs, and take care of any last minute items. The day of the wedding, both Jason and Kerri arrived on time and were ready to go well before the reception kicked off. The reception was excellent. Jason was very entertaining and engaging with our guests. He also did a great job in selecting music based on our likes. Kerri was also excellent, she worked very closely with my wife and the venues coordinator to ensure that everything stayed on our schedule, announcements were made for big events, and just assisting our guests in general. I gave 3 stars as an average between our two experiences. This last time, our DJ was an older guy (I don't want to mention names). He really had a hard time connecting with our group. He didn't have the music that many were requesting. It seems to me that every DJ should have access to a Spotify account to pull up every song when requested. Another thing that baffled me was that he was using CD's. Who uses CD's in this electronic age? Not to mention that several times the CD's WERE SKIPPING! (very unprofessional) The sound wasn't very loud and didn't sound very good. Maybe this is because the system only had one speaker. I would assume that every DJ would have two speakers. I really hate to give a so-so review but a DJ can make or break a special occasion. Be sure to ask about these issues and interview your DJ.
