Dr. Fang has been our go to doctor in the RGV for approximately 20 years to obtain reliable pain relief for our chronic medical conditions. My husband & I both suffer from debilitating chronic pain & have found immediate relief from the traditional acupuncture methods that Dr. Fang uses. We recently made our first of several trips planned trips to (The Woodlands) Houston TX to continue to receive the excellent acupuncture treatment from Dr. Fang as we were sadden to loose him but we will follow him ANYWHERE!! I really like Dr. Fang - I've been to a couple of acupuncturist in the woodlands and am very picky about their qualifications. He is very qualified and ran a practice in Dallas before moving to Houston. He does a free consultation and if you feel comfortable and like him, you can have your first visit. The consultation is free - the first visit is regular price. He takes credit card but puts the fees on you. It's a small hassle but not that big of a deal to me. The bad review seems like It was a misunderstanding on numerous levels. He has a very thick accent and can be hard to understand, especially over the phone. Overall, I've been really happy with him. Recently, I had a very good experience getting treatments from Dr. Fang. Prior to visiting him, I had a lower back pain for a few months, and it was not going away, so I finally went to see Dr. Fang. He used acupuncture treatment for my first visit, which already helped alleviate my pain. Then, he used a combination of both acupuncture and cupping therapy for the second and third time. After these three treatments, I felt much better and recovered fully in a short time. I could tell Dr. Fang is very experienced, very knowledgeable, and skillful. He is also very friendly. Acupuncture - got some serious bruising on my stomach after 2 sessions, Checked with books and 2 other specialists. this is uncommon to say the least. photos can be provided. Points used are very unconventional and deviate from Chinese school of medicine as well as guides on acupuncture, and also didn't result in any progress after 3 sessions except from 4 large blue bruises on my tummy. I highly recommend Dr. Xiang Fang. He is very effective in treating different health issues. Just recently, he helped my son with a health issue. My son had to go to bathroom frequently, and this situation lasted for several weeks. I took my son to do the test and found no infection, so I took my son to see Dr. Fang. I went to Dr. Fang about a year ago for some lower back pain and after just two visits my back issues were a thing of the past. As such, when I started having shoulder issues recently I went to him again for another acupuncture treatment, I had immediate relief and have a follow-up appointment scheduled.
